M31 is intended to use the "booming blade" cantrip in tandem with her thunder gauntlets
since it basically means she scales her damage with level
the 1d8 damage my gauntlets do doesn't go up with level, but I do have 2 attacks
so in essence right now I can do a total of 2d8+int with my attack over two attacks
or, I can do 2d8+int in one attack with booming blade's effect added
and at certain levels it'll even increase
at lv11 I'd be doing 3d8+4 and after 17 I'd be a whopping 4d8+4
if we take it a step further- at lv12 I'm getting the "warcaster" feat, letting me cast spells instead of opportunity attacks

This is also similar to how the game demands that you treat the theiving children as innocent, and punishing them as a evil. Realistically, they would be a perfect litmus test for the extent to which your character was lawful versus chaotic, not good versus evil as the game wishes to pretend. If lawful, spooking the kids would be the appropriate response.
Hilariously, in one of my campaigns I failed to ||save the kid who went to the harpies, and brought his corpse back, and they treated me like it was my fault and they hadn't just sent the kid to die.||
Why didn't they send lone kids out to the owl bear while they were being stupid. Sheeeesh.

Ya know, both VHS and cassettes can store much more data than the CDs and DVDs that replaced them. The methods of storage used for them were just... dramatically more crude.
For audio cassettes, higher frequencies required a shallower channel to write, such that at higher frequencies it would have been possible to write a third and or fourth channel. Shingled writing (see mechanical hard drives) should have been possible for highest frequencies.
Higher frequency recording of the material should be possible as well as long as the wattage decreased according to the frequency. Regular ferrous oxide which was used for tape has the head passing about 1.5 million magnetic domains per second (assuming 1+7/8 inches per second and 30 nanometer domains).
The problem with hysteresis curves for regular tapes is the wattage your can get from high frequency drops off rapidly because there are literally fewer magnetic domains which can hold a field per each wavelength. So it's not that very high frequencies can't be recorded, they just require more sensitive retrieval.

VHS writing signals in the megahertz and then an audio signal in the hertz is a perfect example of this. Given they could just write an audio signal ontop of or behind the video signal they were blatantly leaving unused wavelengths off the table. And that's not even considering that VHS was writing its data raw. Given the height and width of the chroma and luma channels (333x480 + 40x480 + 40x480) 6 bits of accuracy per channel (although it was usually more like 7) and 29.97 fps, VHS tapes were storing about 39 megabits per second, or about 4 times the datarate of a DVD
Hence my angst about how inefficiently the raw tape materials were used. I'm glad the formats were left behind. I'm sad we didn't still keep using the same materials, just writing and reading from them more efficiently

i think theres 3 versions of star wars 4. the original the updated and the FANS restored one(which is the BEST version) it was called Harmy’s Despecialized Edition. and they did str wars 5 and 6 i think . also theres Project 4K77 the scanned 35mm film. its 1 to one to the original theatrical version that people saw in cinemas. man i found so many rare versions. even a vhs version that was used in soviet cinemas in 1977. the quality is insanely bad.

But seriously, we did something like this first campaign. The wizard and I cast expeditious retreat and longstrider on our shadow monk to mess with the DM, who loved maps.
When we hit level 10 his movement was:
Base movement of 50, +10 longstrider
x2 when using action to dash.
x3 when also using shadow step or expeditious retreat.
Result: 180 feet per round.
The monk could run past the edge of the map almost immediately.
