from what I can see in the video, it works like Tai-chi energy build-up, wrong input means energy gets incorrectly released. Ying-Yang situation is that both forces are opposing each other in perfect balance, so Ying will attack the user when mistakes are made (Ying is female part, so obviously women blame anyone but themselves) while a mistake based on Male part (Yang) causes the release of energy outwards, but it will not do what user intends. Perfectly doing the rotation will bring the desired outcome.
That's just free thinking based on how her kit seems to be designed.
