The wet enemies taking double dmg from lightning reminded me of hordes vs AOEs. And then I thought, but undead take extra dmg from radiant. I mulled it over. And oddly enough, I think the weakest damage type is probably thunder. Most other damage types have effects or extra damage under certain circumstances. Acid can corrode items and make revival impossible. Poison continues. Fire tends to be overpowered dicewise and can light things on fire. Necrosis can lower max hp. Psychic can cause difficulty with concentration and cause targets to miss. Force is OP for warlocks, and they can move things with it. Cold slows things. Thunder is basically force damage, but more lame. Maybe if it somehow interfered with verbal component spells?
Long story short - I fear not he who brings the thunder, but rather fear the lightning.

I'm gonna be hosting a One Shot campaign with the DnD 5e rules but a dark steampunky setting in my own universe with it's own lore. By the end of the week i'll have a document written up explaining a little more but for now think of ideas for your characters.
Any spells and magic will work similarly to the dishonoured universe for an example. So any descriptions of spells and how they work will have an "arcane/steampunky" theme. Anything "fantasy" can be reworded to sound steampunk but with the same functions. (bows can be guns for example but works the same)
Your characters should fit in with a Victorian era British city, but can have magical elements, and mechanical prosthetics etc. This is a technologically enhanced victorian England so creative liberty is cool within that setting.
I plan to run the one-shot on the <t:1733781600:f> start (time adjusted to your timezone), with another session on the 16th if we run over. React to this message if you're interested!
fyi This setting will not be for the faint of heart, and will contain graphic scenes and descriptions, so be aware of that. If you'd like specific trigger warnings i can probably do that at a later date, or not include some things that anyone is particularly affected by.

no , no stat improvements cuz that would spiral out of control , just a small feat , like maybe fighters get a manuver , bards get a new use for inspiration , a new metamagic ability for sorcs , etc
with the wider pool of uses for those resources you would probably have to increase access to them too tho

I learned it through bard. But ya, if you're primarily a healer class that's an issue. When you add self inspiration on top of warcaster, bard losing concentration isn't as likely.
The other option is the divine soul sorcerer. That, or cleric multiclass.

This brings me back to the questions we had about the most annoying / effective / weak all one class parties.
For the DM legacy monks would be up there in the annoying due to mobility and stuns.
You'd want a party of 4 or 5, each from a different subclass. Throw them together and see how well they do.
Ranger would probably be the weakest. I never knew a ranger player who wasn't multiclassing.

A little about Hero Quest: (3 - 5 players)
1 player takes the role of the game master, setting up the board and controlling the monsters
the remaining players act as adventures, exploring the dungeon, fighting monsters and getting loot
basically D&D the board game, except the only dice used are D6s
it's turn based with each player taking a few actions and moving each turn
As you move through the dungeon, the game master places terrain and monsters on the board.
game length is 1 - 2 hours

I'm probably just going to play through Atelier Sophie again, or set up another massive mining system with turtles in minecraft. I once programmed turtles to destroy the world by mining everything up from the bedrock with blocks of coal (9x of coal x64 in a stack) as fuel. By the time people realize they are in the dig radius it's already to late.
I only used one lava bucket per 25 blocks at bedrock level. Pretty effective.

@proud pebble question: the "hallow" spell, you cast it a designate a point of origin giving it an area of effect radiating from that point, and it stays there---- said point of origin cannot be a person, or object, and have the area follow them, can it?

it just naturally fades after the mentioned duration
or after having dealt a total of 60 damage
was thinking it would be a fun idea, if you have spell slots left, to conjure a guardian of faith to watch over you as you sleep
bg3 probably just shows its fading time by hurting itself when it does damage
