#122: Back to the Future

yeah idk I jumped on immich right away and it's great
it updates better than nextcloud for sure lol
I don't even need a nvidia gpu for immich, it was working with intel graphics (so if you jellyfin transcode, you can process all the ML for immich)
latest update (onnxruntime from microsoft) broke intel hwa but they'll prob fix it soon™️
Actually this episode made me realize I could better justify a 3060 if I could run immich and ollama off it
So I tried EratzTV just now and I was saddened to realize that it doesn't really have a great way to play it that is wife approved on our apple TV
unless someone has something I don't know, but we're on infuse mainly for our jellyfin and it doesn't seem to acknowledge it
Do you think the 32768 hint was about how many colors the retro console could display?
Could be SNES, if so.
Edit: They didn't say console, so the GBC and GBA also use the same amount of colors as well.
I was about to setup some channels for this good to know about the apple tv
I don't have an apple TV so I don't know if this would work any better but I've been using a very similar service called dizqueTV https://github.com/vexorian/dizquetv
The problem wasn’t the back end, I got the docker stood up and was able to access the feed in jellyfin easily within a browser, but the goto apps to watch it from my jellyfin server on the Apple TV didn’t support it, Swiftfin didn’t, infuse didn’t.
Gotcha
I didn’t go down a huge rabbit hole on this due to the fact that most of this was gonna be more for the wife than for me and having her deal with yet another app on the Apple tv wasn’t a thing she’d wanna do
So I kinda just dropped it for now and may loop back when Swiftfin is better or maybe Infuse adds it or what have you
I can sympathize with that. My wife puts up with alot of my shenanigans already. 😄
Ohhh buddy, my wife is a very very patient tolerant spouse
