#Software Engineer Resume

My first impression of your CV is way too much styling is going on and taking attention away from actual content, additionally elaborate styling like this can work against you with automatic resume parsers or ATS.
Nothing wrong with writing singular column CV in appropriate font size and headings
I will happily provide more feedback when I can later on the content also
Yes please drop your take on content also.
One thing that stands out to me is that this resume is extremely dense and heavy on words but at the same time represents only about a year’s work of professional software development experience (more than half of which is in a senior role).
Landing a senior level role with less than 6 months of professional experience and after a 3 year employment gap is a bit of an eyebrow raiser. It suggests there’s a missing job there and I’m certain people will ask about that (if your lucky… — if your less lucky they won’t bother to ask and will just move on to the next candidate).
Your “profile summary” also leaves me scratching my head a bit. It focuses entirely on backend experience while the bulk of your experience (the senior role) is represented as a full stack position. Many items in your profile summary seem related to one particular job (e.g. talking about improved performance in “document retrieval”).
That brings me to one more high level comment (also related to density): there’s a lot of job description here and not enough focus on your achievements.
As a senior level dev, you are usually expected to engage in system design, code reviews, lifecycle management, and owning delivery. While this kind of thing can fill space when needed, I think your resume already has too much. You want readers to focus in on your achievements to show how you have impacted your employers’ businesses positively. Stuff like the improved search/retrieval performance work. That shows your individual impact and accomplishments. If you trim out some of the bullet points that just describe your duties, readers will be more likely to spot your more impressive achievements before moving on to the next resume in the stack.
Finally, I’d get rid of the entire left column. It’s mostly a keyword dump that lacks context and may confuse automated resume review tools with all the styling and complex layout (the diagram in the middle has a similar effect — and also seems to refer to the missing job I suspected existed). You include many technical keywords with context in your bullet points, so restating them by themselves just doesn’t add value and also increases the chances readers might miss the good stuff as they glance around.
Once you’ve trimmed out the left column, diagram, most of the summary, and about half the bullet points on your current role, you should have plenty of room to talk about the job you had from 2023 to 2025 and focus in on your achievements.
@bitter scarab , Thank you so much for the review. I took notes from your comment.
Actually I have been recently promoted to Sr software Engineer. I have changed the title from Software Engineer.
