Hey, I just started playing yesterday and I've had some struggle recently with finding a good "almost f2p" build for myself. Currently I got Kate as the Pilot (lvl 20) with 6x Mk2 Magnetar and the specialization is on Damage Dealer (Armor Kit, Unstable Conduit, Nuclear Amplifier and Overdrive Unit).
I know that this game is not that f2p-player friendly but I'd appreciate any advice (also regarding the rest of my Hangar, ty a lot) :)
I also just noticed that I don't have permission to show pictures but I also use Scorpion lvl 5 with 2x Atomizer Mk1 and 1x Quarker Mk1 with the Ash Pilot lvl 10 and no specializations, Fury (3x Redeemer Mk1) no Pilot and no specializations.

You'll want havoc scatter or elox murix for scorpion. Scorpion is fragile so you want weapons that dump damage fast then teleport out, atomiser set are better in less fragile bits for sustained damage.
Get the shield break pilot from training centre for fury gadafino or something. Redeemer are good but you might want a 500+ weapon in this bot.
