Do not invest platinum into Sharanga. There are better alternatives like Luchador, Rook and Indra, and you may find yourself winning one of the newer titans from datapads or giveaways!

It is better to invest in weapons when staring out in titans, because your firepower gets you more kills and damage, and helps you finish fights faster where survivability just increases how long you last

Sharanga was meta once upon a time, it dominated with striker when it first came out, and then with grom when that came out later, very fun honestly when it was strong. Since then, nerfs and powercreep especially have done sharanga really dirty. It's primary defensive ability "phase exile," is usually used when the enemy is already on the sharanga already. The ability forces the enemy into phase shift and causes it to slow down significantly, with its signature red phase shift effect signifying an enemy sharanga. The issue is that it usually doesn't even end up saving the sharanga, as the enemy that they phase exile is usually already on top of it, and sharanga has mobility to escape by itself.

When it released, it had the most firepower in the game with 3 alpha slots except for ming, but ming didn't have access to all 4 slots at all time, and sharanga had its other ability full power to amp up damage by its weapon slots even more. In addition, sharanga has a more than 100% defense mitigation, which quite literally makes the enemy take even more damage than if they had no defense, kinda nuts.

Phase exile can still be used in a couple interesting ways, but more as a support ability such as exiling an enemy on a beacon that your teammate is contesting so that they can capture it, and maybe heal a bit, so it still has its quirks, and it has been buffed a little.

These days its definitely just better to use newton or especially bersagliere though. Bersagliere has the same amount of firepower as sharanga, and has the "fatigue" effect which makes enemies take more damage the more they get hit, as well as the bow which does tons of damage. Newton just has more raw firepower, and can pull enemies out of cover, plus the biw that still does truck

sharanga isnt really all that anymore. it was meta originally because 3 groms had fire power that was unheard of, and the main competition was the minos, which the sharanga could easily counter by using phase exile during its ability.

nowadays you have robot weapons with all these damage buffs that even 3 groms arent that much anymore. while 3 maybe anguishers are good, nothing the eiffel cant do but better in everyway. phase exile is not really useful either anymore as you have robots with defence that lasts longer than the exile, for example mauler with 2 ability charges, luchador with reflectors in both abilities, rook which can just heal while its exiled etc.

Sharanga really used to put in the work back in the day. The phase exile could also be used tactically to prevent enemies from capturing beacons or to save yourself/allies from prominent threats. The unfortunate reality is that most players don’t understand how to use phase exile and end up benefiting the enemy more than hindering them

I don’t care how often it was used, bulava was, and always will be, a meme. It’s not a good weapon, and it never will be. It does too little damage for its little niche, and you could even argue it doesn’t have enough ammo right now if you just look at the new smite and discipline weapons. It wasn’t even good when it first released.
