(Hangar advice) Need help as a beginner in league gold

Finally got a weapon! From the 1k ticket box i waited so long to afford...
It was special edition of reaper 5% more damage is all.

So with this, I guess i need to convert one of my robots to a sniper. Fenrir is the best candidate by far (if you want to double check i can provide my full hangar for u)

My fenrir has quicksand labrys; not really a sniping weapon. But its the longest range and happens to be a t4 in my medium hardpoint inventory, so its probably the best. I have shown the rest of my choices below. What should my second medium weapon be? most are 500 range...

Reapers aren't good as a weapon until you have 4 of them + a Crisis all maxed pretty much. Their strength is that they can one-clip bots, but at the cost of a huge reload and pretty terrible sustained DPS.
Fenrir is a really good bot, but the best way to use is by getting up close to the enemy because you are a tank. I wouldn't recommend using sniper weapons on it. There aren't many good starter weapons for sniping, but if you post your full hangar I could try to help you design a good sniper bot.

Yeah rather don't use the reaper and instead use like thunder and storms or tarans or coronas etc

All you should be using is Punisher + Thunder

Depending on your weapons, fury could be an okay sniper. You would use prismas on it. What weapons do you have available?

So it’s better to just stick to beginner weapons until you open more gold chests and superchests (ie. punishers, punishers T, and thunders) on all bots until you’re in like diamond league lol

Yeah that is true, since he's a newer player, sniping probably won't be in the cards since he's got a limited range of weapons.

My only 1100 range ones are two gekkos and the new heavy sniper, thats all I have atm

punisher is hard thouygh because even in high levels it forces me to expose myself for long period of time making it very hard to survive with all these gold league weapons

On fenrir it works fine

Cause fenrir is a tank so you’ll be exposed for long periods of time anyway when you fight

Another benefit is that they’re super cheap to upgrade too

@mild lantern btw, how much gold do you have? Cause if you have enough and don’t care about it spending it to get a good fenrir build, you can buy a redeemer for 7500 gold in workshop and tarans for 1500 each.

Most ppl recommend not buy weaps with gold but it’s up to you lol

I have personally never tried it, but it should work in close ranges or when you defend beacons

Actually, try them first at low levels without upgrading them much, and if you like them, stick with it until you get better weapons. If you don’t like, I recommend switching to redeemer taran fenrir

Glory and Coronas will work better on your strider or mercury, since those bots use hit and run / surprise tactics

I would try them but that means getting my hands on a second corona, so I mostly have to speculate rn. I may switch to taran completely with reedeemer after some rounds deciding if taran is carrying me

yess I put glory on my strider ultimately, and realized I had to level it up to get good damage...
Well sadly mercuries and striders only take light hardpoints. This means corona cannot be equipped, and i have no halos

ahh shoot, I forgot they have lights. A good light weapon for them would be magnums if you've got them

Redeemers, tarans, and magnums are always good options

Will work on most bots, if not all

Yep I was actually running redeemer and my trusty magnums on one mercury. But now I realize my fenrir desprately needs redeemer so I put a thermite instead

That makes sense. Plasma Fenrir should carry you through expert if you keep dumping silver into it.

Thermite is iffy though. it's not the type of weapon you want to run on a brawler like mercury.

Yep but I only have the sniper, zeus, and similar terrible heavys. I believe I need something better than thunder though as this particular mercury is mid-range (has magnums)

Even if your magnums can reach 350m, the thunder will still work best for you. Your mercury helldive will force you to get close to do maximum damage.

Ahh. I have two and it seems to be one of the best options given my noob inventory so I employed both... Reedemer and magnum is just as fine as on a leo to be honest... If one wants to take advantage of mercury, its better to use shotguns... I figured magnum can be used anyway since its a step up from punisher for brawling

You should probably use Thunder/Storm on your fenrir to be honest

Labrys is quite bad now

Storm is too but it’s more close ranged which is better for fenrir

Build robots first in workshop until you have a good hangar. Use beginner weapons on them. Then build weapons in workshop
