20k points on titan leaderboards isn't impossible for f2p, I've done it 5 times and it took about 2.5-3k plat with 25% discount
The key is the daily honor point tasks, which alone grant you 25 plat a day.
I also used a bug that didn't require titans to cap beacons. 10 beacons a match adds up quickly
