Okay here is the idea: the mode is War and it is set within the mega-map called the Battlefield.
Take one war robots map, multiply that by four and fill with barricades (such that long range robots won’t have too much of an advantage over brawlers), and four ‘beacons’ within four large castles at each corner of the mega-map.
When the match starts, twelve robots (who are in a team) are spawned at each ‘beacon’; for a total of forty-eight robots on the Battlefield. Instead of a whole hangar, every player may only choose one robot (no titan ok).
And then the four teams of twelve engage in a war…
The match lasts 30 minutes and the goal is to take over an enemy castle’s beacon. This takes 30 seconds and if a robot is interrupted while in the beacon, if they are even shot or another robot is in the beacon, the process restarts.
Once the beacon is taken over, it becomes that team’s second beacon and the enemy team can no longer respawn at the beacon (yes, that is a thing by the way). The ultimate goal is taking over all four beacons, though if the match ends and you have 2 beacons, it counts as a win.
