Hover can easily get obliterated in the air especially with the new laser weapons and reaper and the fact that it also makes itself very vulnerable makes it’s really bad.
My addition: during your flight ability, if things get out of hand you can use your “Dive” ability to instantly drop at high speeds to the ground, I think this addition can really help the hover gain more usage in lower leagues for its price. Any thoughts?

A separate button isn't something that robots are going to have for a very, very long time.
The simplest way to give it a dive mechanic would be to give it infinite fuel and get a push downward when you let go of the button.

True because it would be impossible to make it all in one button because your already tapping to use your fuel

So letting go of the fuel provides a very small tap, but combined with gravity, you could spam the ability to dive. Having smaller pushes downward allows people to also fly similar to how it currently does.
In all honesty, the Hover has been getting obliterated in the air for most of it's existence.
