So, to play on windows, you have 2 major options. The most common is Steam, which i'm sure you already have heard about, other is Mygames (named mglauncher now)

therefore, no need to also add it on the microsoft store, plus it may need them to add new servers for data storage (or just storing the game on another platform which isn't that popular compared to steam)

probably not emulators compared to the two others, the perf is quite meh while steam and mgl are good at this (ok, there may be some debate with emulators because of free keys but still)
