#new weapon idea

1: Create a concept. Finish this idea. What does it do? How can you see it killing players?
2: Complete the visualization. Create the actual idea. How exactly does it launch them, how far, and how do you want it to play?
3: Numbers. Solidify all the numbers. Hardpoints? Hp? Ability? What does it do, how long are the cooldowns, and so on.
4: Finishing touches. Do any hard math you may need to do. Lets say it smacks the ground and sends players away with knockback. How far do they go? How many times does it hit the ground?
5: Revisualize your completed idea and touch ups. Think of it again, but complete. Look for anything you missed.
Once these are done you have a robot worth talking about.
Not everything has to be completely drawn out sometimes you can set the basics and let people think about how they would go around and use or make something like this.
Pretend every number you don't write down is 0.
If your presenting a complete idea, this is the guide for you, but if you want to make a community build, then make sure everyone eventually covers these points.
It was a mechanic concept not a actual weapon idea. It’s to give people a idea of something new to try and work with not everything needs to be drawn out like I said earlier

Think of it as a nocliping projectile than can fly through walls and enemies then walls again just to hit another enemy and it would have slight homing so it would try to redirect towards other targets

This, in my personal opinion, could go very wrong if not balanced.
It’s quite literally the saying you can’t run or hide turned into a weapon
Since the effect is so strong, the damage would either need to be weak, or have some sort of downside.
I think that maybe if the bullet moved very slow and you could shoot it then maybe it would work.
I had an idea a long time ago about a weapon that shot bullets, each with their own hp bars.
The bullets would move slow, maybe 30 kmh, but there would be many of them, and their damage was their hp.
I would just have them fly normal speed
Maybe a machine gun, maybe 1 powerful bullet, and other things
My idea was meant to make cover in a way.
Your idea, with normal speed and this bypass cover effect, needs to turn the table somewhere.
I would probably have it fire in Burst like shoot a clip wait shoot a clip wait shoot a clip reload
Yes also what if we make it so each time it flies through something it has a 50/50 chance to not fly though or something like that
Maybe instead of a chance it it a damage decrease
Like the shocktrain’s 100% to 75% to 25% decrees

Maybe 7 second reload, 1,500 damage per bullet, 3 per burst, 500 meter range, Burst spacing is .15 seconds, Fire rate is .8 seconds?

With the clip setting you had, (9 bullets spread into 3 bursts), that's 13,500 damage per clip, (.15x3 is .45, + .8x3 is 2.4, +7 is 9.85 second mag)
13,500 times 6 is 81,000 damage per minute
for one Heavy weapon
That’s actually pretty balanced
Except for the fact is bypasses walls
Even with a 25% reduction per surface
maybe 40% would be better
I mean that for it hitting just the first target without the decrees in the second or even third targets
For normal contact it's fine, but it's balancing comes down to how much it does through walls
I’d say if would not decrees damage through walls only through targets
What angle does it turn to hit other targets?

We could have it have a smaller turn angle on the first target and have it get wider towards the last one as if it is slowing down and becoming more able to use redirects
That could be a way to back up the damage decrees

From my understanding of Ballistics is that most of the time when a projectile ricochets it looses about half the speed that’s why I said that

The main character in it basically calculated a shot through a meteor storm and it curved around and went through like 7-8 meteors and eventually hit the target

According to the wiki He shot the round into a meteor storm of 862 meteors curving around and hitting 768 of them to eventually hit the target and kill him by using that delayed shot to set a trap a trap

Probably only get to go through a maximum of 3 walls and 3 enemies before it despawns
It would be fun to troll new people going up against it because I love the idea of them trying to find cover but ultimately dying because you can’t hide from it

If that's going to be added why not just remove barriers as a whole? Hell remove the entire map that way no one can run or hide

You have to think about all the possibilities like will the magnetic rounds be able to hit targets that are in stealth?
Will this weapon go through shields? Does it fire energy or physical shells?
What does it even fire? Lasers? Energy shells? Physical bullets? Rockets?
I feel like the most important would be if it can hit targets under stealth
