A returning player from 2 years ago that started playing again this week 💀. Delved deeper into certain things and found out there’s a upcoming new major rebalance.

Simply put, what are y’all thoughts on the upcoming rebalance. From the looks of it, the update is quite large and affects the entirety of the game itself

Cryogenic rockets, redeemers, Sonics, laser machine guns (nucleon atom…) and a few more will be put into the meta I would guess

Glory will become the best heavy shotgun

Some titans such as Minos will be made t4

So if you’re planning to buy a Minos now’s the perfect time because it’s price may be upped

The change with curvies are that

Rn they bend after travelling 150m. After the update that’s gonna become 200mm

So they are only going be viable somewhat medium-long range distances

You can’t shoot a corner and bend close to you now

Smutas are great for medium/longish range

A great balance tbh

Doesn’t make them completely useless

Time will tell though, new weapons incoming already seem broken

And the new pilot will for sure push Hellburners to meta

it's good on the surface

but when you think about it more it kind of increased the power gap

in some situations

i'm als pretty much a returning player for the most part but i would be weary

only reason im able to compete currently is using an apple gift card i got as a present

my old bots when i first hopped on were obliterated

it hurts to see a kephri spear take down half the team and still have half of it’s health left

there's a few older bots that still perform as well as they did in their primes, some arguably better; demeter (is demeter even old?), fenrir, invader, ravana, i could name more

apperentaly typhon is an older bot too despite it being pretty modern

diamond was hell for me but with vigilance it gets better

just watching ads daily and rationing resources

i've gotten to the point where I barely have to deal with overleveled opponents somehow

3 weeks ago I was barely playing at all because of the amount of angler and mars tankers

nowadays I'm matching up with people using things around the level 9 range

matchmaking only gave me those matches about a week ago

There are still mk2 bots but I do run my own occasionally so I can't complain

I don't know what changed but the matchmaking isn't nearly as bad as it used to be

I mean there are still annoying mars bots with unbreakable shields and mk3 khepri spears chewing my titans but

That only effects steam really. Ios and android both have way more players and therfore are less effected by the update split

There isn't any actual matchmaking.
It just seemed worse recently, cos they only use leagues (which is *NOT *MM), and because of the different platforms being in different stages of update, the player pools were separated, giving a smaller selection of players to participate in each game; hence a larger number of leagues needed to be included in the so-called 'matchmaking', in order to fill each game.

I, for one, would be fine with reduced numbers of players (say 4, rather than 6), if it meant fairer games.
