Yeah, fafnir it seems like a better option. The main upside I can see using a HMG and Ravana setup for is to counter other players with a HMG setup, at which point the Fafnir is probably still better because it can just soak a bunch of the bullets up and then return fire from a better vantage point with additional weapons

TLDR, use fafnir flat out

Interestingly, if you're good, Hazards are excellent as well. I rate them third, and an A tier build. The "if you're good" part really matters. Hazards on Ravana require a lot of practice, but really pays off.

Yes, on the ground HMGs will be more useful, but Hazards have more range, so you can just use the additional range instead of indirect fire.
