Spacetech + Evolife
Evolife + Spacetech
Icarus + DSC
Yan-Di + anything ending with e ?
🤔
yan-DIE 🤡
I am thinking of a dumb thing : Mars South pole is a place where temperatures are getting extremely low, especially when approaching the Olympus Mons (where I believe the Icarus colony settled near first), do robots suffer from a constant Freeze effect ? 🤔
😶
I think that they would have the technology of advanced temperature control system, think of how rovers are thought to function today
True. So it makes me wonder the interest of Freeze and Blastcharge, if those systems are as advanced as needed to survive on Mars 🤔
Like, rockets colder than the South pole of Mars, that very cold
Blastcharge is much easier to achieve, just roast the robot... But I think the pilot would just die in there 🤔 Imagine your reactor overheats and is so hot that it damages your hull.
In the game : nah pilot is certainly fine
The pilot stays inside a capsule that's designed to prevent any damages to the inside content. It's make of an extremely hard material that's also rare(which explains why they don't have the whole robot made form that material).
But those capsule gets one-shot when the Grey Robots fire on them 🤔 Weird statement
Also in the Theseus animation Skyros doesn't seem to have a capsule made out of this hard material
So the pilots are actually roasted when exposed to Blastcharge if the only thing protecting them is a burning hull 🤔
Their pilot suit maybe, even though certain ones may be more efficient than others
We do know that there is an ejection capsule. But indeed it is highly improbable the pilot actually commands their robot from that place. Imagine if on a ship the captain was commanding from the ejection pod 🤔
Lmao that's funny
maybe the controls of the robot are in the pod and when the pod launches out it disconnects the cables
So it is piloted from the ejection pod 🤔 Or seeing further, the cockpit is an ejection pod
think of the cockpit like that of a fighter plane
seat eject through an open hatch above it
But fighter planes are smaller, and they don't use a capsule. The ejection seat is way easier to implement because the pilots is already in it, but it has zero commands towards the plane control : it is an open ejection system.
In the war robots, the problem is that the capsule is a closed system : either there are no commands inside, or all commands are in it 🤔 First hypothesis would mean that the pilot would have to manually reach the capsule when the robot is doomed ; second option suggests certainly a very narrow piloting environment, which is more secure but less comfortable ?
Also sometimes I wonder how the pilot can eject through a weapon mounted on top of the robot 🤔 Thet needs to be taken in account if we want to be as close as possible to a realistic reasoning, I guess... And it shows how much of a game animation is the ejection when a robot is destroyed
ever seen a jaeger pilot eject from pacific rim?
I know they end up in some sort of capsule, but I don't remember how they get in there
2 things.
- There's 2 or maybe more wallpapers where you can see the inside of a robot
- There's a game called War Robots VR on Steam where you are piloting the robot from inside. So you can check there how it looks.
I would like to show these pictures but I don't have img perms
I will show them and tell my theory when I get back my perms
Also I found the solution for the Frozen Scorn/Griffin's Rage thing
Apparently the Captain Clyde got a model of Frozen Scorn Thet is called the Griffin's Rage 🤔 It is what I understood from the first lore bubble from the event at least
And maybe we begin to search by ourselves, considering the time you might take to get back your perms
There's the model "Frozen Scorn" for us (Commanders) and Clyde has this model too but he named it Griffin's Rage and maybe he changed some parts of it too to make it unique
The story behind Clyde's ship
The 2 cockpit wallpaper I was talking about
The cockpit from War Robots VR
War Robots: The Skirmish virtual reality experience on Steam for free: http://bit.ly/2upGi8T
And a link to the video if you want to see it in 360°
I have a theory:
What if their seat can slide backwards when the robot reaches critical hp? This could be an automatic thing but I think it's manual since Theseus didn't got ejected in his animation movie
Like Titanfall : you pull the lever to engage ejection sequence, but there the seat joins the capsule
I thought if something similar before I think, sliding the seat 🤔
And the seat goes into the ejection pod which is located in different parts of the robot. The location depends on the robot
Indeed. I love this theory
The animation is in my head but I can't show it here 🤡
Icarus tech would be good now 🤔
But I mean, I too can have an animation in head, that will certainly be fairly similar to what you think
We could play a description game 🤔
Just take this picture, move the Pilot's arms back to their places and move the seat back. A door opens and then closes after the Pilot is inside
That's roughly what I imagined too 🤔
Also there's this little hologram in every robot. This can show 2 things:
- The robot itself that you are piloting or...
- The enemy robot that you are focusing on
Actually that wallpaper is the only proof we have of the inside of a robot. Theseus' one is more about Mercenaries and old/improvised robots 🤔 Whereas this one seems to be more about official Faction's machibes
Still we can see 3 different robot insides
That one wallpaper is a Nightingale actually
I saw it was a Night. And the scenery is very clean as well, letting me to think it's a more official robot than the Theseus one
Theseus used that bot for ages and it's his. He put some personal stuff into it including a TV and a small fridge. He probably took out some stuff too in order to fit those things into it
While the other wallpaper is just a regular pilot in a faction's bot which isn't his so he can't move a single thing in it. He only put his Dino Squad toy there to remind himself of the old times
we can also see evidence of the design philosophy that dsc has, and we now know that the cockpit can be personalized depending on the owner’s preferences.
It remains still a very small freedom margin, compared to the mess in Theseus' cockpit. It must remain very clean as a Faction robot. And your assumption with Spacetech is of course a blatant mistake in the current lore, but Nightingale originated from Spacetech (and keeps a design that's very exotic for DSC) ; the pilot depicted is a Spacetech pilot 🤔 I don't think there is much to argue anyways, DSC or Spacetech might expect the same rules about a clean cockpit
they have standards
The pirates' logo.
A Khepri with 2 Nashorns or Kang Daes
those are kang daes i think
Probably yeah
explain this lorewise
The thing is: I don't know anything about it. The only thing I know that it exists
But I could try:
It's a special kind of currency only available to the richest or most adventurous people. The making of it is kinda complicated and special. You need a special gem from asteroids (that can also be found floating in space sometimes) then you need a Yan-di blacksmith to make the shape of the gem and the bottom casing of it. Then you need an Icarus programmer who can put data inside the gem. So this gem is actually some information in a special form. It can contain anything from money to secret colony locations or blueprints, etc.
that sounds good, now we just need ksiro to say something about it
Ping him 🤡
@feral stone
Now we wait
ATOMs version is pretty close.
It is kinda like future version of blockchain technology. Data cubes contain part of everchanging code. This code gives Commander access to his decentralized e-currency stash 🙂
Bitcoin
that’s pretty cool
nice
Is that gonna be one of the next event chests?
no
It's a new currency only available in some countries
Currency?? What was ir for?
Some people do not know the ways of "scroll up"
definitely
I can’t afford wearing down my fingers lol
@raw gazelle if you don't want to scroll up then go to the WR wiki and scroll DOWN
Lmao
Could you not even scroll at all if you unzoom the wiki page ?
Like, 2% zoom ?
Or I can reply to this message so you just need to click on it instead of scrolling
b r u h
Lol
Let's talk about fusions in the WR universe
Noh
Why? 🤔
what do you mean by fusion?
There are fusions in WR like the Rayders and the Jaenits in the Hunting Grounds gamemode
Rayker + Cinder = Rayder
Jaeger + Zenit = Jaenit
So fusions are canon
that’s what you call them? Their actual names are SpiderBomb & SpiderArtillery respectively
i looked in game files
It's game files so they have names like that. But in the lore I think they call them differently. Like a pilot not gonna call them SpiderBomb and SpiderArtillery
They see them on the battlefield and see the similarities in them and in other robots/weapons and they come up with something like I came up with
We all know that thing here. We were the ones who discussed it a few days ago. Even Ksiro joined the conversation and then Fox uploaded it to the wiki
yeah try and seem important
Why don’t people in WR universe make a bot that have every ability
That bot would be over power
Weight doesn’t seem like a problem because we have Arthur- a titan with 2 thick shield that’s probably heavy or even a big fat titan that can jump
Why don't humans make War Robots in real life?
Answer: We can't. There's always something that doesn't let us do something
You can't put every ability into a tiny bot. The mechanical parts in it is limited
Also imagine running 5 Absorber shields at once
Even the most powerful robots can maintain it for only 8 seconds, and pay their electric strength with a very fragile hull. Beyond mechanical parts, internal components are also part of that equilibrium
Yes but if a robot that is 7 storeys tall can jump then anything could be possible (those flying titans are probably several thousand tonnes so could not possibly fly)
On the other hand, they have gigantic neuclear reactors powering them too, always keeping them in the sky
They have massive energy and fuel capacity in order to stay up in the air. Actually we don't even know if they need fuel but they need some kind of thruster in order to fly
And we talk about things that are in the future where holograms, nanobots, energy shields and energy weapons are a common equipment
If Fusion thrusters are a thing, then it is credible to make those robots fly... And also, the same technology should have been used to power the immense Motherships 🤔
Premium premium currency?!?
And how do you get premium currency? From offers? 😂
What do you guys talk about? 🤔
The cryptocurrency thing. Premium premium currency, or Premium+ for short
But why? I mean we already discussed it a few days ago that they are Gems and what they are for
And it's on the wiki too and if something is on the wiki then we don't really need to talk about it because it's already written down
As you can see the other people above didn't seem to have scrolled up. There is an actual epidemic of non scrolling here 🤔
As I can see you are one of them since you were the one who came up with the Premium+ name 🤡
I should patent this name 🤡
Make your own currency on the roleplay server and name it that 🤡
Actually should we include that ? 🤔 Seems far-fetched but also coherent in the future
Include this 🤡
Minus the asteroid part, an artificial diamond or any crystal can do the trick while being still very rare and prized
Encoding data inside the structure of a diamond 🤔
Do whatever you want. You are the roleplay master afterall 🤡
Since DSC has Abyss. Wouldn't they have a lot of this stuff? 🤔
I mean the diamonds
I'm not a dictator though. I find your asteroid part a bit too pushed, just that. Why would a space gem be more potent than anything created by human ? And even if we assume a special structure or mineral from the Stars, humans can surely recreate it in labs. The price would remain very high of course
Then why don't you make diamonds at home? 🤨
Having diamonds is not enough if you don't have the experts to encode them properly. And the theory above illustrates the case : your asteroid gem is required, but now most of them are recreated in labs (because this gem has an unseen structure on Earth or Mars). Added value : the first cybercubes created could contain natural gems, as opposed to more recent ones containing artificial ones, thus having their market value skyrocket
We can imagine this case for any type of gems of course. Diamond, Saphir, Rubis... The finest could contain natural gems, increasing their market value
I still see Gems as an object impossible to get and they are from space because humans can't make it
Because this gem is a special type that you can code things into it
So a limited stock 🤔 With the five most gigantic organisations having an insane budget on research, I think they could find a counterpart. And "coding" things, do you understand it as if it was a computer or silicium chip ? 🤔
Serious question here, to see if we can find a common ground
Did you watched Transformers 4? There's a material in it called transformium which is programmable. I see these Gems something similar
Yes, space magic 🙃 I would rather prefer my more Earth-compatible theories with Diamonds 🤔 Because at least they can be explained and somewhat seem mysterious enough to represent a very valuable currency
Magik again 🤡
Explained up to "encoding data in their structure at an atomic level". I don't have the knowledge to explain further, but it is always better than "programming a mineral like a computer"
Program a rock, get back here after you did
🤡
Ok mister magik man 🤡
Be honest, which would you prefer if you wanted to implement such a thing in a pseudo-realistic roleplay ? Your "Transformium" does not feel like something I would pick in front of another theory that includes an entire process to actually create financial value in the item
Especially if it comes from Space... Feels like a good amount of Scenarium
To me diamonds don't feel that special that's why I think of a space material that was never seen before and it works like an usb stick (pendrive). You can put data into it and then sell it to someone and that person can download the data from it
Diamonds remain very rare, especially if you demand a superior quality for this application. Or, imagine a crystal that contains an entirely artificial structure made by man 🤔 Not even a natural gem, 100% artificial. And this opens the possibilities to create smart storages, either full (storage gem + "usb" device to read it), or isolated gems like jewelry that requires an external reader to be exploited
And why do we always need to include only two planets (Earth and Mars)? Why can't we go out in space and explore more?
Even searching beyond Mars and Earth, the natural mineral theory remains the same. We can use any mineral other than Diamond, for as long as it is rare enough to represent a cryptocurrency host
Also if you can "encode data into something at atomic level" then you can do it with everything. It doesn't need to be a diamond, a ruby or other gem
It's not the gem that you buy, it's the data that is inside
But it's much prettier when inside a jewel 🤔
Interesting
Like a rubber cube can contain nuclear codes
Gems may feature a more stable atomic structure, which can be an advantage as well as being rate by themselves
I mean you can put secret data which costs 10000$ on a 1$ pendrive and then sell it. You will pay 10000$ because of the data, not because of the pendrive itself
Exactly. Which could lead to a black market of data
That's why you could put the data inside a glass cube or into a normal rock based on your theory
Good idea! Sell rocks to everyone and make this special type of currency worthless 🤡
Nothing prevents you to put a gem from an asteroid to make the object worth a lot more. And don't think that everyone masters data encoding/decoding at atomic scale, those items would remain very rare. Hence why most of them could use previous jewels as hosts, to make the item match it's price
Encoding a rock is a master move still. But the data can be easily lost too, which isn't z good idea either
Make your theory come true on the roleplay server and I will keep mine in my head because it involves magik 🤡
Or make the two technologies coexist 🤔 Two methods for the same result : a gem into a glass cube, one encoded with atomic science, the other using a strange material from other worlds 🤔
Imagine a stone with intrinsic magnetic properties like z hard drive
And then your theory will slowly becomes the only one like it happened to the reflector
What happened to Reflector was a succession of multiple takes, reignited by Ksiro's one. If you defend your theory it will stand in front besides the others. The Leech theory and others had flaws and weaknesses, they were all submitted to vote
I talk about the factory setting thing. What happened to it?
And it isn't even my theory that has been selected
Problem with our factory setting is that half the theories were full of flaws
Which only you can see (maybe I can see some too)
Sometimes you must admit your mistakes... Factory setting was exciting, but seeing closer it was a bad idea. But the new theory takes a little bit of multiple theories proposed, and has the merit to work almost like in the game
I already said: Do whatever you want because you are the roleplay master afterall 🤡
I hope you learn something every time 😦 You could start to see a pattern of what I find "good" and what I find "magik". Encoding inside of matter, good magik. Space rock that magically can be written into, bad magik.
And by "magically be written into", I mean without using the technology to encode into matter. Like a plug and play rock
Ok mister magik man 🤡
You have ideas, but they are too far-fetched to be used as it. Refine them, and avoid the points like "coming from space" or "unknown technology given by (...)", because you are not the master of those points. Having an hypothetic technology is acceptable as long as you can describe its functions and desired working principle I guess
The working of all these things are inside my head but I can't just simply put them into words. My imagination is better than my english you know
Give it a try, decompose it into small parts. I won't mind an imperfect English as mine isn't perfect either
If you want to be on a smaller place, you can go on our roleplay server
I will just keep my theories to myself since almost all of them were rejected because of magik
🤡
Your challenge could be to make the magik disappear.. transform it into good magik at least
hearing a lot of theories and hypotheses, but not enough testing of them.
at this rate, i should expect to see you two talking about aliens in the near future.
I explained my theory more on another server sharing more info and now he likes it
he likes your funny words magic man
Yeah. I explain it how it works, how it's made and other stuffs and now he doesn't come with the magik anymore 🤡
Transforming black magik into white magik. Magik tricks comes through explanation and details, quite simple. A few traps to avoid, a few keys to have, and a theory can be possible upon only a handful of magic things, but those magic can be accepted as true in front of what has been cleared
In Sci-Fi innovation comes through a bit of magic... Where science can't reach anymore without this little trick
in your opinions, what robot has the most comfortable pilot seat and the most uncomfortable pilot seat
the most uncomfortable in my opinion is shell
It's literally a walking nuclear reactor. In one of our roleplays, the ejection failed and the robot was doomed... Useless to say that the pilot did not end well. Agreed
Most comfortable may be Yan-Di, as they have a special tendency to put golden decorations it wouldn't surprise me if their seats are nicer than the others
Ravana maybe ? It's a high-quality robot, pretty massive, kind of the elite of Yan-Di troops 🤔
that sounds bad, no wonder why so many people complain about shell's design
In theory all robots have an onboard nuclear reactor. But Shell's one is literally made to surge and explode...
Sorry, s-word
Hellburner would not be comfortable neither, but it's Yan-Di so Idk
it depends on the pilot and their fighting style, obviously a psychopath or someone who doesn’t fear death at their own hands would pilot shell or hellburner.
Linda Cano:
she do be living life on the edge
What about Drew?
A psychopath. I mean loikat his face, his smile is clearly the one of a psychopath
Just asking, what is this channel for?
Like its name
Talk about wr lore, sometimes we discuss some weird stuff about how it work in wr universe

Wait
What is @eager belfry doing here? He should be pilotting my demeter! I smell something fishy
Also @boreal turret Is a turtle, eh? So it’s literally boa equipped with ecu
useless…
also slow af
Maybe not this kind of lore though
the most comfortable pilot seat i could find is behemoth, the inside could be roomy for people with claustrophobic
What about titans? There could be whole rooms inside of it
luchy
I think the pilot seat in Arthur is the white stuff which showed when shield open in front of it
by the look of it, i dont see anyone in it
also, dont titans takes two pilots to control?
Nah bro that’s a whole house for the pilot 💀
Even if it is, Arthur is “small” so it doesn’t require 2 people
Titans have 1 pilot (us Commanders). On the battlefield in each of our robots there's a pilot like Kyle Rogers or Linda Cano and we are in the titans and we are the ones who give commands from the titan to the pilots what to do
But there's my other theory which is older than this and I made it when titans were released which sounds like this:
Titans have a group of people inside it controlling and monitoring each part and stat of the titan.
But there could be a mixed version of this like:
You are the head of the group and you give commands to your group inside the titan and to the pilots in their robots too
i imagine higher ranking members would be piloting titans
Like us?
well if we follow military ranking, anyone above captain would be piloting titans
anyone below wouldn’t be able to because of authority or lacking necessary skills
Here's the ranking for pilots in WR
WR's ranking is not the same as in real life
Here's why:
We (Commanders) can control a titan (I heard it in a WR video) but pilots with the highest rank can't. So this means Commanders are above Colonel rank
Commander is a very high rank, like just under General 🤔 As the name says, you command other men
Yes. So after Colonel there's Commander and then General?
Or there's something else too?
Ayo this means Colonel Miles-

Supposedly he would have to promote rank to gain access to Titans
And there is certainly a commander/general above him for sure. He should do his duty for them before thinking he is as free as the wind 🤔
What if pilot is just AI that was made from the mind of pilot who have died in the past
AI exist as they are the "default pilot" when you don't have a human pilot equipped. But I don't think that they can replicate dead pilots consciousness 🤔 A military AI is simply enough, and eliminates the human factor
- we know from Team B and from other places that they are real humans with a flesh body (except APPM-3TR)
Ayo He leads a special forces unit. He only has the OvErSigHT Committee to answer too
So why is he only Colonel ? The status you give him doesn't make sense compared to the rank he has 🤔 And if he only has the Oversight Committee above him, Miles should be General or Marshall huh ? Like the most ranked persons of the entire DSC army. You see my point ?
noh, nub
He leads only a nine member unit. He doesn't have the authority to lead men elsewhere. The only perk he has is that he can't be stopped or questioned by anyone
Like, he isnt the usual part of the heirarchy
Ah yes, an exception. I don't think DSC would approve that honestly
no?
And referring to the Committee in person : wasting the time of your Presidential assembly for one single man. Why Miles alone first ? Also considering he is "only" Colonel, he should report to an intermediary between him and the Committee. You're a bit optimistic here about your administration
Just army hierarchy : do you think a Colonel, even leader of a special squad, would report to the President of his country (= leader of armies) each time he must report in ?
A General is enough, as he represents enough power and responsibility to be the person to refer to
alrighty
you're saying he should be of higher rank?
Either that, or reporting to a higher rank if he stays Colonel
And Bedivere is among the Committee or a General/Commander of some sort ?
idk suggest some ranks :(
Lemme see
to think that you would be ignorant of bedivere after all those convos between him and Miles
He's one of the Committee
It has been some time you know... And we made this topic going back from the grave !
Yeah, do that because this convo wasn't about the lore
in the halloween 2021 video we Dew tomkins says that the robots we pilot is an average of 50 foot, this could mean we could measure the height of these robots easier
how tall is 50 foot?
15,24m
In the Seraph overview video they say that Seraph is 15m I think
So if someone wants to measure every robot then grab a Seraph and someone else who can help with the measuring
Or we can ask people who know how to count the number of pixel on robot
And it is said to be "only" 120 tonnes 👀 When the topic of flight was brought here, we were speaking of "thousands of tonnes" whereas Pixonic is more optimistic it seems 🤔
by looking at this artwork, i think seraph is bigger than that
this one is low quality, let me find a better one
you can see how tiny jill and trixie is compared to seraph
it looks to be around 15 metres
approximately
they got the scaling right
The seraph + decay is 4cm while trixie is 4mm
I measure it on my phone
So she might be 1m5
What? English is not ny native language, so shame on you...? I asked for explanation, and you just shame me? What's that?!?!?
I didn't shamed you? Sorry if I offended you
I didn't mean to
K it's fine.
Like... Before I literally took a dictionary and looked through, I kept confusing Lore with Role lmao
Cringe edgy detected
Mr. Silverblade
Yeah, go there
According to my calculation, if the Seraph were a 15x15x15 cube, the average weight of the material would be about 33ton/m3. But the bot is thin so the true number might be even double or triple.
Could someone who fetched the 3D model calculate the almost-exact volume of Seraph to have a better approximation ? 🤔 I wonder if such a function exists on Blender or equivalent softwares
the area of a normal seraph without weapons is 1773.1778 meters cubed. While the volume is 644.62 meters cubed.
the height of the seraph is roughly 15.53 meters
on a scale of 1.00 from blender
They said it's 15.3 so meh, it's good for me
close enough
Now do the same with the rest of the bots 🤡
assuming the material composition of the seraph is steel, it is been calculated to weigh 3,024,620 kg.
Are we really gonna do all this?
do what
Measure the height and the weight of all bots
well it’s extra knowledge for the wiki
and who wouldn’t want to know how tall a cossack is or how heavy a luchador is.
Well if you want to do it then go for it but I won't do math for it. Maybe just share things like this but no more
Well that's 3k tonnes 👀 Maybe it's not steel but Carbon or any lightweight alloy ? And the robot is maybe not homogene, certain parts are hollow (like the cockpit) and others could be of other materials
The approximation of 120 tonnes may remain very very optimistic though, even with all our hypothesis 🤔
well if we knew how much empty space and other materials there was, the value might be lower, but we just can’t calculate that because of how the seraph model is made.
That would mean hours of approximations to estimate the empty volume of the cockpit and such. And what if you change the metal with Aluminium or something a bit lighter to see a difference ?
blender has some limitations when it comes to calculating weight
i could try changing some parts of the seraph to be a different material to get a different result, but 99% of the model is hollow.
we would need a real model with everything to get an accurate measurement
Aluminium is 2700 kg/m3 so we can try with the hypothesis it is uniform 🤔 This may approximate at first the fact that the cockpit is empty and other parts may be heavier. Still I think we will remain very far from the 120 tonnes
try calculating weight from volume
With 644 m3 volume, it gives roughly 1.738 tonnes 😕
Where did Pixo take that 120 tonnes weight ?
that’s the problem right there
Even with the lightest metal in the industry we're ten times above
we can’t verify that
because the seraph model isn’t a single unanimous mesh
it’s made up of smaller parts put together.
Aluminium is one of the lighest metals available, and is used in aeronautics for that reason. But I don't see us dividing the weight by 10 while considering the armour of a war machine, just by assuming it's made of smaller parts 🤔
Yeah of course, polymer and carbon are much lighter. But I can't explain the fact that it can stop bullets, I don't think a carbon/graphite/graphene plating can do that all day long. Also considering the brutality of weapons used in WR, that's not your average 9mm pistol
it’s probably fortified by titanium or a similar metal
But Titanium has a 4.500 kg/m3 volumic mass, almost twice as Aluminium 🤔 In average with Carbon or polymer the mass could remain the same, but we are still 10 times above Pixonic's assertion
the composition ratio is what counts here
balancing weight with strength
strong enough to stop bullets from puncher and light enough that it can be lifted by rocket engines
I don't have worries about the engines, we can make Ao Ming and Murometz fly. That's just that mass value, it's impossible to understand 🤔
it might not have to do with the armour, but perhaps the internal components
Like, if the engines can actually lift the mass, regardless of the scale if it's 1 tonne or 100 tonnes, the raw value of the mass doesn't matter.
And for internal components, what's heavy could be the generator and the computer. We can include the thrusters, but I don't even think they are the heaviest part
Built-in weapons take their price too, Forcefield
passive modules
Does Seraph run on hydraulics or electric motors ? 🤔
And wings magically hang on in the air... Magnetic fields ?
magnets, if the seraph was made on a budget.
a magnetic field can also work too, but i imagine it would cost more in upkeep.
unless the forcefield itself holds up its wings
They made levitating wings, at some point they must pay the technology I guess... But that takes its weight too
At least Fafnir's wings are actually mounted on a mechanical arm... Much less trouble
i think spacetech has reached a point where they mastered designs like seraph
and evolife is just behind with mechanically attached wings
That can be true. And we can see the evolution of Dragons from Spacetech, that used mechanicam wings as well back in the day
when you have magnets or a magnetic field holding up wings, that’s already a decrease in robot weight.
Anyways : the Seraph seems to bring too much things onboard to ever hope to get under the 1000 tonnes 🤔 And even if it does, it will remain far away from 120
that’s not including the seraph’s wings?
The magnetic system still weighs its mass, even if it's not mechanical you must bring the elements for it to work
so a negligible weight change then
Maybe lighter, but not zero for sure
As the wing and the robot must have this magnetic or Forcefield control technology
yeah
With a mechanical system, the mass of the arm is kinda a "bonus" between the two bodies, however it imprints much less mass onto those bodies 🤔 Here the levitation system makes it up to replace the arm
so maybe the 120 just comes from the actual body, and the materials used have to weight under 120
The body still represents a big half of the total volume, and we didn't even count the legs 🤔
Maybe the wings weight 120
Maybe
or maybe everything is made from an unrealistic material we don’t know about
Ah, the almighty Scenarium 👌
what is that
It's like the plot armor : it's a material that has the exact properties you want for your to make a coherent story 🤔
Here, a sturdy but still very light material should do the job
For the Seraph to have it's mass at 120 tonnes, and assuming the value of 644 m3 volume as being correct, it's average volumic mass should be 186 kg/m3.
So 0.186 times water's density 🤔 At least Seraph floats
yeah ok
Thinking of it, this density value is comically low
Wat's the density of polystyrene ? 🤔
Polystyrene foam seems to be at 0.05 g/cm3, which is much better for us 🤔
In fact Seraph is made of polystyrene foam under a tempered steel plating
We're laughing, but maybe it can achieve the miracle of keeping the mass under 120 tonnes
and yet it has like 250k hp
It's a very strong tempered steel plating
i am not convinced
Do you have the surface of Seraph ? So I can approximate what is the weight of, let's say, 30 cm of tempered steel
So : calculate the weight of a 30cm-deep plating made of steel, and then substract that volume from the global volume
Yeah the surface of its plates and such. I think you left a value above
1773.1778 meters cubed you said, is that its surface ?
So it's 1773 coma 1778 to be clear on syntax
Yeah okay 👍
So we have 532 m3 of steel if we take a 30cm thick plate. That seems gross compared to the 644 of Seraph though 😅 The wings should be eaten like nothing I guess. Let's reduce to 20cm
With 20cm we get 355 m3
So the remaining volume is 644 - 355 = 289m3
289 x 50 kg/m3 = 14,400 tonnes of polystyrene
14 and such tonnes if syntax is unclear
ok
try graphene
2270 kg/m3 might work
805 tonnes
Damn
But we know the problem comes from the plating, the polystyrene inside is perfect and leaves room for 106 tonnes of plating
I will reduce the plating to 5cm and see how it is
With graphene
89 m3 of plating
555 m3 of inside
89 x 2270 = 202 tonnes
555 x 50 = 27 tonnes
Total : 229 tonnes
Damn we are so close
try carbyne
Just realising how weak is a 50mm plating in real life. Standard issued battle tanks carry at least 200mm
a seraph being weaker than an mbt doesn’t seem right
But it's the price to pay to be at only 120 tonnes 😂 And Carbyne volumic mass is elusive, I only found Carbon Fiber at 2000 kg/m3
Which won't change much from 2270
lets just say spacetech developed a lighter derivative of graphene that also happens to be stronger
Eh let's try with 1000 kg/m3 with that hypothesis (same density as water)
So yeah : 89 tonnes + 27 tonnes = 116 tonnes. Success !
with a few extra tons to spare
A material that is as dense as water (=pretty light in fact compared to what we saw), but which is sturdy enough to protect the polystyrene core with only a thin layer of 50mm. Incredible. We did it
Maybe that. Something that's pretty light, graphene may seem like a good basis, although its starting density is 2.2
yeah
Or we divide by 2 the thickness of plating to use a proper graphene
And that's somehow even more magic
Because 25mm, like maybe a military jeep has that plating
ok
So with 25mm plating with graphene :
plating : 101 tonnes
core : 30 tonnes
A bit above, let's try with 20mm
plating : 36 m3 * 2270 = 82 tonnes
644 - 36 = 608 m3 core
core : 608 m3 * 50 = 31 tonnes
Total : 113 tonnes
And you got 7 tonnes to put the generator, the computer and the thrusters
I'm... not reading that
It seems like Theseus is a really close friend with the Scavengers
Oh wow. I found a lot more new "motherships" in the Griffin's Rage wallpaper now that I have it in HD
I'm not gonna post it all tho
Summary : one way for Seraph to reach the super-light weight of 120 tonnes, assuming its size, is to use a very thin 25mm graphene plating and an entire structure made of polystyrene foam beneath that plating. That may explain why it's so fast, but still it has 250k HP which is concerning
graphene is already very strong, spacetech probably added another element that helps strengthen it down in the molecular level
Also did that Griffin's Rage one-shot a Mantis ship ?! 👀 On the left we can clearly recognise the Mantis control pod, on top of that sinister smoke cloud... I thought Mantis to be one of the most protected Motherships out there with visible Aegis generators
griffin’s rage overpowered mantis shield off screen
we’re just seeing it getting destroyed
and not all motherships are battleships, they may not be armed.
Yet it doesn't have a single attack slot if I remember 🤔 Kinda funny if it's the case
Isn't Frozen Scorn (Defense) (Defense) (Support) ? 🤔 I'll check real quick
you would think so, but as we’re seeing, it has cannons.
what we’re accessing may just be ground support turrets
not concerning ones used for space warfare
And if those cannons can shred a Mantis or a Dreadnought, we can ask ourselves why it can't shred enemy robots 🤔
On combat planes, the ground attacks can shred entire battle tanks... I doubt another plane could resist them, although the main flaw would be that such aircrafts are not designed for air-to-air combat
The limiting factor could be the range in the case of Frozen Scorn / Griffin Rage : those turrets may not be able to merely reach the battlefield 🤔 As for the rest, we don't see any other ship shoot a single projectile on the poster... Like, nobody has a single cannon ?
their weapons may have been destroyed or reloading
And yes Frozen Scorn is Defense-Defense-Support in slots
I don't see like 8 ships on screen being reloading while the Griffin Rage is intact 🤔 This doesn't make any sense, why can such a nimble ship damage an entire fleet and leave unscarred ? It already shredded two Dreadnought it seems, and the others are like sleeping
Frozen Scorn has it's ability as it's weapon
Oh right ! But it cannot increases it's ability damage
Frozen Scorn has corrosion and freeze effect, right?
What if it hit the Mantis which froze it and then the corrosion ate it?
Aegis shields. Matroska thinks that the Pirates broke the shield "off-screen", but breaking through a Mantis shield (literally a shield-ship) seems quite improbable with those special armaments. Also I don't see why would Freeze work in space, it's already the Absolute Zero
What about space jump? Like the mothership fleet was there and then Frozen Scorn came in with lightspeed and started shooting everyone. And the other ships couldn't fire back because their cannons weren't ready
But then the pirates are ... Doomed ?
Not if they destroyed all ships before their cannons are ready. Or they jumped again to somewhere else
I need to look at this while thinking about it
Also I like how you mention Mantis but not the Orion
Oh the big on foreground left is Orion right 👀 It seems
Yes it is
Took it for a Dreadnought
And you can clearly see that the Mantis explodes when hit by the turret laser... it's not Corrosion or special things
It hit the reactor...?
Just use your imagination whenever you come across a situation like this
Again, Mantis is a shield-ship. Hitting directly the generator is like rolling a critical hit in DnD... Or that the turrets of those pirates are actually OP
Fox already said that the Mantis's shield broke before this picture was made
Which is only a theory. And even with a destroyed shield, I doubt you can one-hit a mothership generator like this 🤔 Or, the turrets are actually OP
Turn and twist, one-shotting a mothership is a proof of OPness of armaments
They are clearly OP. Pirates with illegal equipment and multiple turrets coming in and destroying 3 ships at the same time
At least we agree on a point 🤝
Also almost everything here is a theory
Yes as 99% of what's being said here
Maybe 90% but yes
I mean, recreating a scenario with only given an artwork that puts the subject at advantage, is not an easy task to keep your objectivity
It's easy for me. I can make a whole movie about it if I want to
Maybe I will 🤔
Also you already know the power of explanation so whatever you bring up I will find an answer for that
Like I did it with the Team B vs Pirates and the Exogem too
And now I go to sleep. Bye 👋
didn’t even notice

Skin lore:
Special Editions: They give +10% hp because someone put more metal and other metarials on it so the robot got more health.
Legendary Skins: They give +5% hp because someone put a special type of paint on the robot that makes the robot more durable.
Normal Skin: Just a regular paint that looks cool.
ok, do you remember when you get blinded and then went back to normal in like 5 seconds?
who is fixing the targeting system and where do they get the parts to do it?!
it’s most likely a series of built-in failsafes that the robot system has, should any component of the system is shut off inexplicably. In a way, it takes 5 seconds usually for the system to reboot itself or fix the problem with its subroutines.
and then the failsafe stays active for some additional 5 or 10 seconds before being deactivated.
during this time period, the failsafe will detect and neutralize any additional attempts to deactivate any part of the system.
within context of the gameplay, this system can be activated repeatedly without any visible fatigue to the system.
Anticontrol seems like an upgraded failsafe system, able to react instantly but that needs a lot of time to recharge
and titan anticontrol is a variant of anticontrol for titans that can also negate sudden changes in temperature.

What I still don't understand is the consistency of Freezing effect, assuming that those robots also work on Mars where temperature variations are insanely wide 🤔
The brutal change in temperature is certainly the key for it to work, as well as Blastcharge, because the robot's are supposed to resist such high temperature constraints
Freezing effect is just liquid nitrogen and blastcharge is a group of smaller sticky bombs that a rocket places onto the robot
Theoretically Blastcharge happens by overheating the robot's system, which works in the same way as Freezing but in the other direction. But why to use liquid nitrogen when the outside temperature would be enough to already consider a "freezing" effect, or Blastcharge is external temperature is already an oven : this is my question
Blastcharge explanation comes from in-game common knowledge
Mars's surface temperature is not that low. I mean in real life our robots out there aren't freezing into an ice cube so liquid nitrogen could work
And for blastcharge, maybe the cockpit of the robot is protected from extreme temperature so they don't die there
For ice to form you need a fluid to freeze. Rovers don't freeze on place because they have been designed to not have a single droplet of liquid on them. Same principle applies, the only advantage of Freezing weapons would be to bring that liquid, offering a material to freeze on
Except Freeze Noodles don't bring any drop of liquid
Could liquid metal freeze? 🤔
Oh that begins to lose sense
I mean, Mercury can freeze in theory
Becoming only solid
Yeah "freeze"
Because the lasers could melt the metal first and then it could freeze
And here we go again : melting + freezing at the same time
Feat. Harpy and Siren for your enjoyment !
In a sense that could be possible, but in fact your metal is already solid. Ice is only the solid state of water or other fluids ; don't mix up solid metal which is normal, and solid liquid which is actual ice
The only way to get a Freezing and not only a "solidifying" is to bring a non-metal liquid to freeze the metal into a hulk of ice 🤔
Bringing Mercury could work in theory, but ooof energy to make it solid
So currently the only acceptable Freeze weapons are the good old Freezing Rockets, and Siren's bomb : they fit the criteria that is "bringing an external material to freeze". Ice Noodles are just an energy beam, they can make the hull colder for sure but it will never generate ice or freezing 🤔
Fun fact: the technology to make Legendary Skins are available in real life.
If you think about it all the things are available in real life
Mission for you: Find the answer to freezing laser
I’m start thinking that they are made of gold
Uh Gold has a poor structural accuracy compared to steel 🤔 This would decrease their durability
I mean they make it cover
Just like a golden armor
The prize of legendary skin is 10k gold and to convert to se, it require 10k gold too
Making the hull colder should not be a problem if we consider "reverse-energy beams" as possible. The only thing that could freeze would be the hydraulic fluids : it would effectively make the robot slow down, as well as having an impact on the hull's sturdiness 🤔 But in no way a visible ice is created by the Noodles
So it’s my stupid theory
So plating Gold onto armors 🤔 Well I don't really see why it would be more solid, it just makes the machine heavier.
However, we know Wodanson creates special paints (without further details), and then the 10k Gold do not represent the material required, but the cost of such a paint
Ok
Your theory could be acceptable with other metals : Titanium, Tungsten maybe. The problem with Gold is that it is not very robust as a metal, it is soft
Only good perk : immune to corrosion
Actually I don't know if Platinum has good mechanical characteristics 🤔
the "freezing laser" can be accomplished in two ways: using a high intensity laser with negative heat properties, basically depriving a material's electrons of its energy, causing it to become brittle. Or use a supercooled stream of plasma, which utilizes ionized particles at super low temperatures that can deprive energy from electrons as well as strip them away from a material. The illusion of ice can still form on a robot, so long as there is an element that can condense and become solid at very cold temperatures, for earth its water from the air and mars it could be carbon dioxide (provided that the temperature is low enough), as for moon it is a mystery since there is no atmosphere and thus nothing that could form "ice" on a frozen robot.
the blastcharge rockets are described as a fireball, but the accumulation which leads to a blast effect can be most likely explained by a certain chemical reaction when products are added in enough quantities, can produce a powerful exothermic reaction. With this in mind, a robot could be frozen and still experience a blast charge effect (provided that the reactants can still react at a very low temperature), the excessive heat would increase the temperature of a robot's hull (causing it to warp and lose its integrity) briefly and then is re-exposed to very cold temperatures, which can further damage the hull, this is also why a blastcharge effect does more damage when a robot is frozen and can be triggered multiple times in succession.
but these reactants can react with other things, like say the air or metal of a robot, to produce a less powerful explosion.
or the delivery system can be rigged with a proximity sensor, which can prime the reactants and cause an explosion near the intended target. That's just my science based theory of how blastcharge works, though using a rocket armed with a cluster sticky bomb warhead can also get the job done as well.
as for legendary paintjobs, wodanson would most likely use a sort of spray that can apply a durable nano-coating that doesn't added too much weight to the robot, this coating could be a combination of non-organic polymers and elements to strengthen the hull and then a dye or additional paint is then applied overtop the nano coating. If you think about how much industrial-grade chemicals and materials cost, that is where something like gold is used to cover the costs and possibly production as well (if wodanson doesn't make the product himself).
Your explanation is very satisfying ! But I still don't catch how you can freeze (fragilise) the hull with cold, while applying an exothermic reaction 🤔 Maybe the first explosion will benefit from the hull weakness, but afterwards the hull temperature rises because of the Blastcharge. Only way would be to have such a powerful cooling beam that it freezes again the hull between each heat peak, but I would say that those effects negate each other : although they can have a brief instant of synergy, the explosion benefiting from a brittle hull, one of the two effects will override another
it takes some knowledge and understanding to know.
yes both effects will negate each other in some capacity, but the change in temperature is still taking place on the hull, which still damages it regardless.
If you can have flames on water then you can have freeze and blastcharge at the same time
Flames on water are due certainly to a floating fuel layer ; the comparison with Blast+Freeze seems far-fetched 🤔 It's rather pouring water into a fire that is continuously fueled and sparked
In an instant they negate each other while doing an immense mess around, but then after it depends on which one you favor : pouring more water, or sparking more the fire 🤔
doesn’t matter what happens, so long as the target gets damaged and eventually is destroyed.
I haven't even read the other event lores yet
shocktrains are not this small
unless they have miniature weapons like manni with his miniature vortex
Interesting 🤔
Maybe in the WR universe there's a device that can make things smaller. Or this device can be a modified teleporter platform that makes objects smaller while it's being teleported away
well, manni’s vortex has a trigger and a pump action just like an actual gun, so maybe…
Maybe Manni made a custom weapon for himself based on a Vortex
Maybe a more valid hypothesis would be to consider smaller weapons based on technologies created for bigger weapons. Like Shocktrain technology could be replicated into a portative weapon, just like Punisher are oversized miniguns
Please
We're dealing with technology here, not magik
- My name is Magik Man so what did you expect? 🤡
- This is not magic. Teleportation works like this:
The teleporting platform breaks down the object's structure to it's atom and then putting it together on the other side. A normal teleporting device needs 2 platforms but if you modify this platform it's capable to teleport the object back to where it came so you will need only 1 platform. And for the resizing part: If the teleporter breaks the object down to atoms then you can arrange those atoms as you want. So you can put the atoms closer to each other making the object smaller or (which I like more) you can use less atoms to put the object back together this results in multiple smaller objects
If you read my stories carefully you can notice that I used the second theory in it mixed with my fusion theory
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
– Arthur C. Clarke
dude, solids already have their atoms fitted very closely. So even if your theory holds, It would only be possible to make it smaller by a very small margin

Yeah I agree with Argent : if you have N atoms that you want to recombine, you are forced to use those same N atoms. Due to matter limitations you cannot make them closer to each other than they already are. So your final object contains the N atoms in the same volume as the original object 🤔
But this weird point of view allows something nonetheless : those N atoms can be recombined into something else, the only condition is to keep the N atoms at the end of the process
And even if we consider the "breaking apart to create multiple objects" part to be valid, each object containing N/X atoms where X is the number of objects : we don't even know if Teleportation works by breaking down matter at such a small scale 🤔 And good luck with the calculations : recreating a single object is just copy-pasting its data ; creating multiple objects need to recalculate everything, you can't just size down this time
I would say : your second theory works, but don't expect a result within seconds. And it is based onto the hypothesis that Teleporters work by decomposing matter at the atomic scale 🤔
teleportation may work something like this; matter is converted into energy thanks to Einstein’s law and can be further translated into information as explained by Landauer’s principle. A particle can be made to do work using information instead of just energy, as demonstrated by japanese scientists back in 2010. So such particles can receive information and transmute themselves into whatever they are told, so if a couple hundred trillion particles receive information about how to make a minos equipped with kraits, they can do it so long as they obey the laws of thermodynamics at any place, at any time. In theory, this is already possible in present time, and the technology was developed further in the WR timeline.
👀
Well making a whole Minos would be a bit overkill, and would require a gigantic machine. But I see, although creating matter from raw energy would be almost impossible, this the need to "disintegrate" an object first to fuel the creation process
it isn’t impossible
I meant : creating an object in the wild using only standard energy sources
though a powerful external power source is required
fusion can handle such demands
so can plasma based reactors, but i don’t think we have reached that point in the WR timeline
nuclear energy can also cover the energy operation cost when produced in enough quantities
More than powerful if you want a consequent mass 🤔 E = mc2, producing 1kg requires 9 x 10^16 Joules, which is enormous even with Fusion (900 000 GJ)
with this theory, you’re not turning energy into matter
So if we take an object as as base material, the external power source only covers the losses ?
everything needs to follow the laws of thermodynamics yes
the external powersource is used for the conversion
matter into energy
and energy into information
thats it
I feel like I'm on a physics class
you use the information to instruct already existing particles to build something
All I know is that Fox is on my side so... We won
Information into matter 🤔
So the hypothesis here is that you manipulate atoms into the shape you want
Transformium? 🤔
basically, everything in this universe is made from elementary particles
Yes I had physic courses
so you understand
What I don't understand is that if we can manipulate matter itself to shape it, why to disintegrate an object as an input ? 🤔
well information isn’t spontaneously generated is it?
A scan would be enough, or a simulated model
Information can be generated by other ways : matter/energy is what matters in the original object
Did you see the teleportation platform animation?
well actually it is, but not for the purposes of what where’re trying to do here
It kinda looks like a scanner
Other problematic, assuming your theory being true : teleporting a human (typically a pilot). If the original human is disintegrated in the process, then who is the "teleported" human in the cockpit after teleportation ?🤔
the human, when turned into information, includes everything there is to include.
The teleporter recreates the same human because it stores every information about the person
the particles in this theory reconstruct every single thing
Even memories too
My concern is what is in our brain : the organic configuration may be the same, but isn't some information lost in the process ? 🤔
no
So if by bad luck even 1% of the information is lost/hijacked, you can kill the human 🤔
if information follows the laws of thermodynamics, then yes
it depends on what’s lost however
That could happen too if the teleporter is not in perfect condition. Another thing that could happen is when the teleporter gets jammed and it stores the data incorrectly so everything gets out of the teleporter in a different shape
the only problem i could see here is conversion not being 100%
(@stuck imp use this in roleplays 😉)
The only win I see here is fusions
or information becomes corrupted somehow, but i’m not sure how that’s accomplished.
The teleporter fails? 🤔
It gets an error
yes
This is why I said that information is not energy : the object is converted into information that must be 100% accurate, but also energy and that's this energy that is subject to losses. This is why you need an external power source. And in fact, even if you don't collect that energy, does it matter as much as the information ? 🤔
information is either lost or not transmitted correctly, like how our dna replication isn’t always perfect.
Can we agree that our theory works but it has some disadvantages?
I think we can get away with some hypothesis, but it might work. Assuming the energy produced by nuclear reactors onboard everything
So the object "disappears" and it's information is created, to be later transmitted to an arrival point (and not always onto another platform : teleporting robots as examples) 🤔
the information is stored in some sense, if not all of it is used up.
I will assume that information is not infinite
Well we decided what happened if you don't use all of the information. It better be used at 100% 🤔
Teleporter robots store information about where the robot was and then they teleport back
yeah so teleporters just use what is considered enough for the whole process to be complete
Well that's a buckled up theory of teleportation 🤔 Can we add anything ?
If you want
how is this information stored? its not like the type of data we know
Oh and about that : could the robot's for example store a pre-loaded model of themselves to limit the quantity of generated data ? Only loading the pilot
well how much space would that take up
Teleporters could have a built in model of all robots
Too expensive to equip all teleporting platforms and robots. Enormous hard drives with numerical models can do the trick or nah ?
or teleporters use an OS that regularly updates with the newest blueprints of robots, just to make the process less time consuming.
It's good if it's expensive cuz if you think about it everything would use teleportation if it would be cheap
Or that you can update yourself if you change internal parts
how do you update yourself?
Update the OS yourself
well ok, but then maintenance staff would be required
As a pilot : having access to your robot's data ; and yourself get updated by scans of your biological conditions
a pilot wouldn’t have the time or motivation to get a regular body scan every time they need to use a teleporter
If it's automatic and continuous ? 🤔 They get a vitals monitoring, don't they ?
well things like vitals are continuous
the rest is just too much work, not to mention privacy if that every mattered.
Teleporters have built in models of all robots so if someone wants to teleport it only stores the robots' changed parts and the pilot
so stock model and weapons, plus whatever extra there is
Yes
ok
Missing paint, scratches, missing parts of the robot, extra parts of the robot, etc
the teleporter’s OS does all the math required for the teleportation to take place
Well if that prevents you from dying by organic disorganisation
And the scanning system could be a special built-in system to Teleporters as a required module for every organic material you want to teleport
Also mentioning that I planned to bring to Spacetech Conference (which never happened in RP) some teleport modules for industrial purposes... That didn't have the ability to teleport organic matter : now we can explain that by the fact that those modules lacked those scanning systems for organic matter 🤔
thing is, organic matter is not constant, so the problem may not even be the teleporters themselves
cells in our body divide and die every few minutes
so the number of atoms changes constantly, so whatever was scanned at the time of teleportation will be whats sent to the receiver teleporter
Yeah I see no problem here 🤔 That sounds right
i imagine the scan itself is a slow process, that is why it takes 3 or 4 seconds to get teleported
as the scan is occurring, the OS is already making calculations, so there is no delay.
Oh so you think there is a Delta between the two stages of the pilot 🤔
Before and during scan
something like that
Well the base components of your body would be roughly the same, but maybe we can imagine long-term effects to pilots who teleport frequently 🤔
Due to those small Deltas
i’m not sure what health effects would result from that, but such changes are negligible.
maybe you stop aging for a couple seconds but idk
Your DNA has no reason to be changed, as it's fairly inactive most of the time. The anomalies could come from cells that are scanned while dividing or something like that. What would the calculations do ? And maybe the addition of multiple small issues like this could lead to minor health issues depending on where it occurs
calculations are ongoing for the duration of the scan, but the final values are locked at the end of the scan.
so the scan would be ongoing for every part of the body, and then stops after a set time.
See it like photographing something with 3s aperture duration, but some tiny things move and become blurry in the process. This is how I see the things here ; of course only a few pixels would get blurry on that picture, but do that process hundreds of times, maybe thousands, and you could begin to see visible anomalies 🤔
well, the scan is using a resolution to detect individual atoms
actually there are two ways this scan can work
But if it takes 3s to scan everything, it's because it can't scan everything at once 🤔 And while you scan the last ones, the first ones have moved a bit. When recomposing matter and with accurate models to predict those molecular movements (with proteins for example), it could be possible to negate most of the effects of that time drift
that’s also possible
but like how a radar can detect a hundred fighters at once, the same can happen here
Big X-Ray scanner be like 🙃
That could work too
But if it could snap the whole body in a blink, then how to explain the 3s delay
calculations
Hmmmm
the scan could very well be instant, but the calculations aspect of it will always take time
especially the rate of calculations being made at a time
So if 3s are wasted, why not to include a little bit of continuous scan, like a picture + vectors of movement of fluids or whatever, to give a more accurate depiction of the human
well that requires an algorithm
to interpret sensory data from the scan, which can be fooled either intentionally or unintentionally.
especially when looking for something that equates to what is human
Teleport hacking
An algorithm is already required to analyze the whole teleportation process, the human is yet another variable
yes
we’ll stop here
otherwise we’ll keep following an endless rabbit hole of questions, just to make this theory foolproof.
One question
what
So my resize theory could work? 1 object into 2 smaller?
so long as it follows the laws of thermodynamics, your theory is just as good as mine.
Ok, so my fusion theory could work too
I just realised we never talked about the Exogem's lore here
what was that supposed to be
You remember that new currency in the game?
oh yeah that one
Lézard and I argued about it a little and I made a lore for it just to delete the magic from Lézard's mind and put a realistic info into it
well the exogem is not produced by a single manufacturer, we can see evidence of at least several different co-manufacturers that signed some kind of contract. It’s a relatively simple setup; Yan-Di or DSC manufactured the casing, Icarus programmed it with a sort of data matrix, and SpaceTech optimized the design to maximize ergonomics (though any faction can do this) , and other functions as well as provide shipping (cause they are the best candidate for space delivery worldwide), while Yan-Di provides the funding for the whole mass production of these.
icarus plays a big part in the operation of the Exogem, and Yan-Di determines its value at large, from data to money. Again, DSC or Yan-Di makes sure that such a valuable thing cannot be easily destroyed, while SpaceTech deals with distribution and supply of them.
I like how you put parts of my theory into this
Let me put the lore together and post it here because we talked about it on another server 😅
ok
The gem's origin:
Planets like Earth were sucked into stars next to black holes and the heat melted everything on the planet including the planet itself. Years later the star died because of the black hole but the melted material went out into space and the pressure and the temperature changed it's structure so it became a solid thing. After this these materials collided with asteroids and they stuck into them but there are floating ones too which are bigger because they didn't broke because of the collision with other objects. You can't find them on planets because when they enter the atmosphere their structure breaks and they fall apart (via melting or breaking like small asteroids). The thing that makes it really rare is that the black hole can suck the material itself with the star too but in some cases the material get's pulled by the black hole's gravitation field and get's yeeted out into space. The material collides with asteroids in space where the pressure is high and the temperature is low. Entering the atmosphere makes the material hot so it's more vulnerable. The pressure also changes and the speed of it's movement increases too this leads to the material's end. The Exogem is the gem itself and it's transparent.
Since Exogem is not cube shaped at first you would need to cut it and then make it into a cube. The only protection was the bottom of it, that metal case. So we know that it can break in space when colliding with asteroids and we know that it can melt when entering the atmosphere or sucked into a star. What if it would have an almost invulnerable state? Like from -50° to 1000° it can't be damaged.
First you need the bottom case of it which is made out of an alloy (we will decide what kind of metals later). You put the gem inside it and this makes a connector between the gem itself and a platform which transfers the data into the gem. Then the expert can transfer the data into the gem. These platforms are made by Icarus so you need an Icarus expert to do this. There are other experts too but Icarus has the most of them. There could be a converter which converts 0 and 1 into something else that is compatible with the gem? I mean you can clearly see some infos in the gems itself so in the gem there's for sure something that converts the 0 and 1 back into their actual data forms. What if it changes the density of the gem inside making these infos visible? I think they seem to be a different color because of it's density? Like if you make it denser then it becomes whiter? Let's say the gem itself is blue but half transparent and the orange/yellow part inside it is the data and the white letters are just some info to show the buyer what they will buy. The orange part is compressed so you couldn't read it while looking at it
If you don't understand something then you are free to ask
The end of it is kinda messy because I wrote all this in a conversation 😅
Basically : the gem itself is a mineral found only in space, making it already very rare. They are transparent with a blue reflect ; colours change with density variations, and perhaps internal parasites that occured during the gem's creation. Those gems are retrieved and machined by experts at Icarus/Yan-Di and follow a precise encoding process : they are cleansed from their internal anomalies by a heat treatment, then are cut into their definitive shape (often a cube, but almost everything could be possible). The base serves as a data dock linking the gem to external computer tools, allowing to encode data into it. The data is encoded by locally changing density, thus creating often orange reflections in the core of the gem. Those data are illisible from the outside, you must use the data dock in order to read the content of the gem
looks like you guys have it all figured out, don’t think there is anything here to add.
except that parasites don’t make much sense, since space is already so hostile to living organisms.
also, if a planet falls into its host star, it becomes disintegrated, being broken down into basic elements like hydrogen and elementary particles. There is no way anything else could have been created or survive such a transition, also black holes consumes everything regardless of what it is
That part was Lézards's idea and he came up with it just now
such a material that this exogem is based upon has no chance of existing with how it is explained.
WR is full of magic. Exogem is a new material that can survive the inside of a star
do you want realism or magic? Cause you can’t have both.
WR has both so...
pick one
I mean we don't know if there's a material out there in space which is almost impossible to destroy
the closest thing we can get to an indestructible material is by taking properties from various different elements to form a composite alloy or polymer. Where each property extracted from a certain element deals with certain types of damage.
the process is a very complicated one
basically taking the best attributes from multiple elements and putting them all into one homogeneous material
humanity doesn’t have time for that
That's why humans can't make this material
no, but we can always come close.
I mean you can make fake ones but the original one is better
Oh sorry for being unclear, by parasites I meant mineral parasites like anomalies in the crystal structure. Of course organic parasites are a no-go here
i don’t think mineral based parasites exist
No but just mineral structural error, like a lack of purity in the structure. Not a living thing, how can I be more clear
parasites often refer to living organisms, we have not discovered a mineral that siphons from other minerals or rocks so it doesn’t have application here
Well I lack the proper word, hope you still understand what I mean
i do, just keep in mind the appropriate terms to use
in this case, the raw exogem ore contains impurities. In which the pure exogem must be extracted from the impure ore in order to be used. That’s just an statement about extracting in the industry of mining.
I was rather imagining a purification rather than an extraction : as we imagined it, the Exogem is mostly pure with a few impurities, at the contrary of metallic ores that must be extracted from rocks. And knowing that the gem can be damaged at high temperatures, this property can be used as a vector to cleanse it by reshaping the impurities inside 🤔 Of course this process would be very costly and carefully monitored to avoid destroying the whole gem
Using lasers maybe to target precise points inside the gem
The most imperfect parts of the gem are on the outside of it actually because while it's floating in space it collides with things and stuff like that. The inside of it is almost always perfect
Well I was considering that like all minerals it can't be always perfect 🤔
And in any case, this heat treatment remains a key to shape it like you want
how do you treat it for solar radiation?
Like it absorbed much solar radiation that could be harmful ?
it’s difficult to explain, but there is a type of radiation in space that can denature molecules that make something up if it’s exposed for a long time
I know humans can have genetic issues when exposed to space radiations. So this kind of things ?
this type of radiation can make certain elements radioactive by stripping away protons
Oh so the gem could both get damaged in structure and becoming radioactive 🤔
That could be the source of impurities, as well as a justification to treat the gem's before any encoding
Unless your client wants to trade with you in a radioprotection suit
Raw gems could be a danger then
usually if it’s a radioactive isotope, it will have a half-life.
using a form of enrichment, the gem can be converted into a more stable isotope for use
you can reconstruct the gem that way
So it will depend on the age of the isotopes to measure it's threat level. If we consider the gems as very old, neglecting the radioactive rays is a handy hypothesis. But cores of disorganised material remain, thus creating those impurities 🤔 That need to be reconstructed
That's one more justification for the high price, seeing the required process
do you think people still listen to music in 2142
Yeah, why not? I mean Theseus surely listen to some music
But people would not have the same access to it. In a standard pilot story, we know that even books are hard to reach in DSC, so I think music obeys the same law 🤔
Yeah, not everyone has access to music
i guess it depends on the faction, Icarus has an equivalent to the internet as stated by Arnav, so any colonist really could access music.
Indeed. I would say that Spacetech and Icarus could have the best access to musical content, DSC restricting it to the elite (along with litterature). Yan-Di and Evolife, I don't really know what it should be 🤔 Yan-Di has social classes, so maybe only the superior people could listen freely to music ; and Evolife is globally really weird so it's difficult to figure that out... Do they even need music ?
spotify
DSC = no spotify
shush
a good question, we don’t know enough about evolife society to determine that
the greater majority of them are scientists in different fields, and some are more busier than others, so I would imagine that they wouldn’t have the time to listen to music. And you simply can’t become an artist or anything else without permission so it seems impossible.
Added to the fact that Evolife dwellers are genetically modified to work 🤔 With such a genetic manipulation you can delete the need of music in an entire society, as well as any form of art or entertainment to a certain extent
I think there could be Evolife members who listen to music. Like a young girl who stays at home all day, smiling while making things in the lab and listening to music not caring about what's happening out there
Also guys, let's talk about how you imagine the different societies. Like how do you imagine the city itself and the citizens in it in each faction
We know that DSC is kinda like a military base controlled by the Control Committee
SpaceTech could look like a normal city like New York or something like that but more futuristic
Icarus could be the same but everyone is at home using VR technology
Yan-di could be a normal city again but less futuristic?
And idk about Evolife...
Evolife may be lodged into cave networks, isolated from outside world on Mars 🤔 So their colony is underground and paradoxically could have access to much larger spaces than we think. This is also an opportunity to pressurise large areas, buried under hundreds of meters underneath the ground level
As I imagined Icarus colonies, well I divide them into two categories : major sectors, like the core ones and the first crown, being like actual cities ; and the outer crown, being mostly scientific plants and defense stations.
The cities would feature tall and organised bunker-like buildings, heavily defended from both air and ground attacks ; thousands of people lodged in there, if not tens of thousands, connected to the VR SolNetwork. We can also imagine underground labs and generators, as well as arrays of factories and hangars at the boundaries of those cities, as the main reserve of War Robots for the Icarus army.
On the other hand, the outer sectors are much smaller, and host at most a few hundreds of people. Buildings are sturdier, feature way less defense systems but prefer heavy caliber weapons to compensate. An imposing underground complex, the precursor of what is already present in the big cities.
yan-di is easily a monarchy and dsc is a totalitarian state
spacetech and icarus are based on capitalistic liberalism i think, while evolife is idk
Evolife is built like a hive : people are divided in the society based on their role, and they are genetically modified to better suit that role 🤔 In fact I don't think there is a known society model to describe this apart from "hive", it's so different than all other Factions
Yeah. Evolife is a hive
And Scavengers are..... They are kinda like..... Scavengers.....
Yan-Di is maybe rather an oligarchy instead of a proper monarchy 🤔 Not a single person, but a class of very rich and powerful people, which makes sense with the internal society of Yan-Di
Scavenger political system when
Without speaking about any kind of central decision power, how is life as a Scavenger ? Is it really survival everyday, or do some people live on the others ? 🤔 I would likely see the strongest mercenary leaders just sitting there and having a better life than other Scavengers
As I imagine Scavengers have 2 types. The "lonely wolf" and the "friends forever". The lonely wolf type roams the battlefield alone and does what he wants. This type can be friendly or unfriendly depends on it's personality. The friends forever type lives in a group with other scavengers and they have a specific job to make like collecting stuff, protecting the team or making food
As a Scavenger myself I'm between this two. I roam the battlefield with my android that I built myself so I could be both types. I'm friendly too so if you come across me I'm not gonna do anything if you don't do anything to me
And I always want to talk first before shooting
I mean, everyone with a bit of brain wants to talk before shoot in this devastated world. Except DSC of course
Well all scavengers are good persons except a few
Being a Scavenger is a whole state of mind 🤔
As you can see here scavengers help you if you need help
That adds a man in their group. They have all the advantages to help people, both sides win something
Yeah
And I think being a scavenger is the best thing. I mean you need to survive on the battlefield that is kinds hard because there could be no food around but you are 100% free. You just roam the planet and collect everything that you find useful
Sort of a mix between pirate and survivalist
Yeah
Also among the best archaeologists out there, as we know with Ricardo and Jad
Yeah
👀
Ded lore???
Just quiet lore
Let's talk about the gray robots and the gray AI then
I don't think they belong to Scavengers. At least not the Scavengers as we imagine them as survivors. Having an AI under your command requires very special skills in computer science, and while a Scavenger can refurbish a robot, having an AI on their side seems often complicated.
My hypothesis is that there are some specialists out there, who can certainly be contacted by some Scavenger networks, and who are actual specialists in computer science and capable of creating/modifying AI systems for a use as "Gray AI" 🤔
If I don't count my roleplay and my stories then gray robots and gray AI are robots equipped with a special AI that doesn't follow the mercenary rules and attacks everyone. They don't show signs of fear and they don't emit any kind of communication signals so they are basically controlled from the inside but instead of a pilot they have an AI. Not an ordinary AI like the ones in our robots or an android like APPM-3TR but rather a giant computer built inside the bot instead of the cockpit
This is kinda like the robots in Pacific Rim 2
The same could happened here. In Pacafic Rim 2 there was a bad guy who put the Kaijus' parts inside the Jaegers so they become better and stronger. The same could be in the WR universe. A bad guy put special AI into robots so they become better and stronger
There is a human behind all of this, maybe a company 🤔 Those robots may be created to protect some private interests on Earth, thus attacking every mercenaries coming from Mars
Oh my god! What if...
What if DSC made them as an experiment like the [REDACTED] Twins?
@lime kayak everything is because of your kind!!! 🤡
No I don't see the Factions involved. Rather some smaller businesses on Earth that try to defend themselves from intruders
Why would they want to do that if they have a Bastion as their protector? 🤔
Maybe the Bastion is only one among many. And small businesses could not afford this relic of a machine, even though it is efficient.
Also, the AI is understandable from a financial point of view : almost no maintenance, no payment, no food/shelter, immune to bribery. The advantages are visible
Obviously, if there is one Bastion wandering out there, it can't be everywhere at the same time. Same is true for any number of Bastions too
Still the gray robots and the Earthlings with Bastions are not on the same team
Businesses could sabotage themselves, or fight for the same resources
Why would they program robots to kill everyone when they cease fire and want us to leave
Earthlings don't kill Martians. They just scare them away
So you spot the difference between Gray Robots and Earthlings (including Bastion) : the Gray Robots fire on anyone and kill the pilots when the eject (certainly against all War treaties) ; Earthling just want to be left alone, using among other things some old Bastions as artillery platforms to scare out Martians. What if both were the same thing, but one more twisted than the other ?
Old Earthling using advanced and refined AIs with adaptative protocols, in order to spare the life of their enemies ;
And young Earthling more on the side of war, and using brutal AI models to eliminate the threats rather than scaring them 🤔
I don't see why would they do that. I see Earthlings as Scavengers but on Earth. They wander around in groups and each group is protected by a Bastion which is their home since Bastion is a titan if you didn't know it already. They gather resources and live their life peacefully
While gray robots are like Thomas' and Samael's creations
That's some interesting knowledge 👀
Updating in progress...
And about why Earthlings spare their enemies rather than killing them, the simplest explication could be that they are just tired of war, and don't want to leave dead people behind, friend or foe alike
Yeah so they are like Scavengers. Scavengers have robots just because of protection and home
If you want I did a robot design in hommage to Bastion, not even knowing it was still used in the lore. I could show it to you
Similar to Jaeger in some points, but still innovative and with the inherited clunkiness of that old relic Titan
That's among the last images that remain of the almighty Bastion
Yeah, and they screwed it up too because it has Trebuchets. But it's an old wallpaper, it was made before Pilots were a thing
So maybe it was intended primarily as a robots then realised that this relic was actually loved by the players 🤔 And what is better to recycle this idea, than making it the almighty defender of Humanity on Earth, a Titan capable of protecting entire communities against enemies
I think they screwed up by not prolonging development on Bastion, the rest seems logic in the sense that it was not even intended to be talked about
Bastion was the first form of Raijin but it got redesigned and renamed. The same was with Fujin, it was called Sentry. Their abilitie's names keep this 2 legend alive (Bastion mode and Sentry mode)
Actually this wallpaper was made before titans too I believe so that's why it has Trebuchets
I think Bastion is a titan because if you read Kyle's story it says: "Kyle ran into a huge four-legged robot that even his Hawk could barely scratch."
Both those are true. The we universe has grown much further than what was originally planned for Bastion
Maybe larger than a Titan 👀
Bastion is like Arthur and Raijin combined together so that's why Kyle's Hawk couldn't even scratch it
On my concept Opekun, sort of an illegitimate son of Bastion, I implicitly theorised the existence of an advanced and mysterious plating protecting the hull : on Opekun it protects only by 50%, but at three times the scale can you imagine the power of this thing ?
And the "mysterious" part could come from the fact that it's an old technology, forgotten on Mars but applied on Earth 🤔 And nothing created on Mars could equate this defensive surface field
If you think about it Earthlings made a lot of things before they went to Mars. They experimented with nanotech as we know it from Kyle's lore, they made motherships to go out into space and a lot more things
So they could have technologies that the Martians don't know about
And I just thought of a potential explanation for this field : as I said it's only a surface field, not a shield (two technological ways between Earth and Mars).
When a shell or energy beam impacts the hull, its energy is transferred punctually to the material which causes it to break. So the idea here is to dissipate the energy to limit those hull damages.
The "Bastion Field" would be based on an particular structure running all across the hull, underneath the armour of course, and whose objective would be to spread all incoming energy into the largest area possible (in this case, the goal is to dissipate up to the entirety of the hull).
This way, an incoming projectile would see it's energy divided onto a much larger surface, thus dealing reduced damage to the impact point
This technology may seem way inferior to Ancile and Aegis, and that would be actually true. Earthlings don't have access to the same resources than the giant Martian corporations, and their primary goal is reliability over anything else.
This "Bastion Field" is as useful against bullets and rockets, as against flying rocks or ice storms. Contact forces are redirected onto a much larger surface, whatever force is applied.
This technology would be jealously guarded by the Earthlings, as the Martians don't seem to have a reliable way to bypass it, making the Bastion even more impressive
🤔
Be critic please, this idea is a 5-min rush
I can try to explain some things to a certain extent if you ask me... I'm currently thinking of a way to dissipate energy this fast, but we have Ancile and Aegis to remind us our manoeuvre margin
I like this idea actually tho idk what you talking about and stuff like that but I imagine it as the Forcefields' Earthling version
A while ago I made Bastion into a titan with 2 alpha weapons and I gave it the Bastion mode ability and the Sentry mode 2.0 ability which uses Aegis shield instead of Ancile shield
This makes Bastion in the lore perfect for the Earthlings home. A protective dome above their heads (Aegis shield) and a big Physical shield if the Aegis breaks
And the 2 alpha weapon is good for fighting too
Yeah
But Bulwark is kinda like a shapeshifter
Bastion can do both ability at once
And it needs to stop
Among the first shapeshifters, and the first to even possess an Aegis shield. And among the only ones to have a dual Shield system
Wait how can a puny T3 bot be such a pioneer in that much domains
Is it a DSC bot?
Raijin needs to stop while it's in the ability so Bastion needs to stop too
They changed this feature in Fujin but idk how Bastion's other ability could work. Should it need to stop or no? 🤔
They did it to Weyland. I don't see why Raijin wouldn't deserve it
probably takes additional power to utilize such a shield and boost the power of its weaponry, technically it should be able to walk if its shield is destroyed but still need to divert power to weapons, which seems that power is diverted from hydraulics.
fujin and weyland simply got an updated system that doesn’t divert so much power from hydraulics, allowing for the robot to continue walking while using its ability but at reduced speed. Raijin didn’t get an updated variant or system to do what they can.
The same goes for Bastion. It needs more power to enable it's shields so it disables it's legs
yeah
if we try to imagine it this way, why update an old model if it doesn’t sell anymore on the market? And that there are clearly better alternatives to it?
Fujin is as old as Raijin, so why ? And Wayland needs to power en entire Nanobots Matrix, as stated in the Nanobots lore : Weyland can produce literally Nanobots for an almost infinite time. Power consumption would be the same as a weapon boost
you can say whatever you want about that, but try to imagine this from the perspective of a business man who sells them.
Yes I see why an old machine doesn't need an update anymore. So why Fujin ?
I think low level players still buy Fujins
it’s all about demand in a way
Because it costs Ag, cough cough
and it’s more affordable to your regular joe
And that starter pack too
So the little old machine gets updated, but the Roll-Royce of the family doesn't because it's expensive ? 🤔 Makes sense
also hmgs, dunno who made them, but someone’s gonna do something about it from the other-side of the competition in the market.
I see now why Fox is Yan-di
Buffs and nerfs are hard to explain in lore terms, especially when they concern direct downgrades for no reason. The best explanations are when a loss of power occurs : on weapons, shields, or whatever ; we can imagine a lot of things to justify them. Other nerfs such as armour nerf, speed nerf, spread nerf, curving nerf, have only one escape which is a poor fabrication process. Less accurate barrels, lazy microprocessors, brittle low-quality steel, cheap hydraulics...
that can all be explained by cutting costs in manufacturing and material acquisition.
mars and earth combined do not have an sustainable amount of raw materials
When a new thing comes factories stop to make previous things perfect so they lose some abilities making them worse. Or they make something perfect just to sell more of it
or disable some features, like we can see with cars nowadays.
Wow, finally something the game can represent very well
it’s all about generating the most profit with the least amount of expenses
As a Yan-di member you know this really well
if a company like spacetech can make the stealth system deactivate earlier to make its operating cost cheaper, they will do it.
so they can have more money in their pockets to produce more or to do something else
Making stealth shorter requires programming which isn't really affected by money so I think this theory would be better: They make the stealth shorter just to sell the new things. But idk
you get my point
Just thinking : are all Factions following the same strategy for this ? 🤔 Spacetech and DSC could both use this money to upgrade their military, maybe why they produce actual marvel of technology nowadays ; Evolife and Icarus to fuel their research centers and upgrade their colonies ; and Yan-Di doing everything to squeeze the maximum value for their own purposes
every faction has their own agenda, and they just so happen to be following a similar business model for generating profits.
Also I could imagine the Factions slowly selling their old technologies to others, like how the Teleportation is now mastered by DSC from nowhere...
it’s either sold or stolen
They bought it
We know Yan-Di used " borrowed " tech from Icarus
businesses like yandi don’t borrow from people
DSC bought teleportation from Icarus
That were the words from Iskra back in the day 🤔
it’s a wild assumption, but yan-di could buy out most if not all of Icarus tech if they wanted to, they have the money to do so.
yeah so it’s just a matter of time before they buy something from spacetech to make a flying ravana, at that point they would have acquired enough technology from each of their competitors to put them out of the competition for a while.
"A promotional trial of the Scorpion — a robot built by Yan-di using "borrowed" Icarus tech — forged a tiny connection to her old life as a pilot and fighter and helped Olga keep sight of her mission"
- quote from wiki, Iskra lore pilot
Maybe they just happened to be lent a prototype with a Teleportation drive, and somehow they reverse-engineered that for themselves 🤷♂️
the idea is still stolen
Does Angler have normal phase shift effect or transcendence effect? 🤔
Angler uses a variant of transcendence
Up to today it's still a normal blue phase shift I believe
🤔
Or I'm not updated
Because if they make it orange/yellow then Evolife "stole" Yan-di's tech too
phaseshift and transcendence are technically based on the same technology, so either one is interchangeable. The only difference here is that yan-di uses a speed boost for ravana and indra.
angler is evolife correct?
And a speed decrease for Sharanga's ability
Yes
The other thing is that Phaseshift (the blue one) is based onto their active module, whereas Transcendence is a custom version made for Ravana and extended to Indra. So maybe Evolife reverse-engineered only the PS module, not the actual gold mine that Transcendence is
so that means evolife is on the same level as phaseshift in terms of advancement, they added an aoe effect and a speed boost just so they can call it different.
Let's say Phase Shift and Transcendence is 2 different thing because Phase Shift just makes your robot invulnerable while Transcendence does the same with something plus
yan-di just happens to have more knowledge about phasing technology, they can modify it to accelerate or slow down something, which is distinguishable by a color change.
Oh yes Sharanga thing too, slowing down. Evolife just scratched the surface
they are quite new to the technology
I mean they made what Yan-di couldn't do. Dealing damage while in phase shift
They reverse-engineered only the PS module, still being unable to copy all abilities of Yan-Di experts.
That said, DSC made two working prototypes of Teleportation drives on first try. To their defense, Harpy and Siren don't do a "advance" teleportation yet
lets just say yan-di didn’t try everything
Or spies got the blueprints, a theory that can explain many things I think...
Ghosts...
corporate spies have been used since the dawn of wr
how do you think anything is developed nowadays?
In case of Evolife, Lokis would be the perfect robot for covert operatives
very few things are original
Loki that they created by spying onto Stealth devices
you wouldn’t even need a loki or a robot to steal corporate secrets.
Talking about the lore makes me want to continue my fanmade stories
Well, companies would get wary with time, and maybe more potent techniques would be required to get your objectives done. It wouldn't surprise me if blueprints need more than a slide on a USB plug to be stolen 🤔
it just depends
Also all Factions wouldn't have the same approach. Yan-Di can easily be everywhere, where DSC or Evolife just seem less competent in the matter. They have spies, but maybe not the technologies to make their job quickly and efficiently 🤔
||for DSC I don't count the attempt by Argent to "make spying great again", although I must congratulate the effort||
of course, that’s why mercenaries and contract spies exist.
Evolife has a smaller group which is against the big one. What are your thoughts about that? 🤔
what do you mean
Nian and his team
she is just a rogue element that leads a number of mercs and bandits
not all of them are hireable
Nian gathered those corporate leaders who opposed what the called the "philosophy of weakness" and tried to change things. This did not turn out well for them. Both Nian and her followers were banished from the colony with no possibility to return
- Nian's story
i do my homework
I want to see this smaller group do something again
gang battles
Not that 😂
I meant something bigger. Like coming back with newer bots and stealing and destroying stuff
participating in yan-di’s earth restoration event
or appearing on the evolife horror show
Isn't the new event will be Yan-di horror show? 🤔
no it’s evolife i believe
And the previous event was Earth reclamation day
so there is a cycle here that we can predict with some accuracy
each faction takes a turn in hosting a promotional event, because that’s what this is.
now they can’t do this forever, so there is some downtime. During that time, you have people like Clyde or Roberto hosting events
or someone else
the cycle should look something like this: DSC > EvoLife > Icarus > SpaceTech > Yan-Di
sometimes the order switches, but that’s what the typical order should be.
if you’ve noticed, they host alphabetically. Taking turns based on where their names are in the english alphabet. Other events hosted by other factions like scavengers or pirates, also follow this order.
I knew I was right
I just didn't know where I saw it
8.5 new update Yan-di horror show event
You are right about this cycle but you missed the part where Earth Reclamation day was not a Yan-di event. It was hosted by Yan-di but it wasn't an actual event which belonged to them like the Spacetech Heist or the Scavenger Rising
