Massing is usually the process of splicing two seeds together (which has an pre-existing recipe), into another component which builds up into the final product.

Massing slightly differs from the usual " farming " process, you do not just plant, harvest and break and repeat for massing. You have to evaluate and plan your steps carefully as it could potentially result in you losing more WLs for every mistake you do.

One of the biggest worries you should have as a masser would be the issue of seed loss. When cycling through to the last step, some components may be unfarmable components, and therefore will result in seed loss per cycle. You can mitigate this by using fruit drop boosters like harvesters [with fuels to proc the double fruit drop eff] and dcs, or break blocks with blue ances and bbh.

To further follow up on this point, you should only cycle through an unfarmable component once.
But, how should I tell whether the block is farmable or not?

For farmable components, you should cycle through them more than once, as it will reduce future step seed loss (considering the next step is a non farmable component)

Something to take note of is that Lazy Massing does not equal to normal Massing. Lazy Massing will more often than not result in you losing wls.
Lazy massing is purchasing and splicing the pre-step seeds together to obtain the final product. This will more often than not result in you losing WLs and is not recommended.

As said earlier, massing is the process of splicing two seeds together (which has an pre-existing recipe), into another component which builds up into the final product. However, you should start from farmable components and continously refarm them in order to mitigate future step seed loss to maximize your profit.

There are some worlds such as MASS or MASSHELP which has information and steps to guide you on how to mass. Always remember to check whether a block is farmable or not to follow up with more than one or just one cycle.

With 14 , I recommend going for consumable-type mass, or those of which the supply runs out after consumption, so the consumer will have to return for more of your products and that it also ensures that your supply isn't really " useless ".

You might want to try either Fossil Brushes or Surg-Es.

Golden Blocks [farmable component] + Evil Bricks [ recommended to purchase ] = Fireplace [ Note: this is not a farmable component ]
Fireplace [ not a farmable component ] + Wall like an egyptian [farmable component] = Adventure Item - Torch [ Note: this is not a farmable component ]

It is recommended to start from the farmable components and refarm them as much as possible to prevent future step seed loss on the unfarmable components.

Honestly, they have fallen off abit due to the recent price drop in Science Stations. However, although it is commonly known as a component to splice Science Stations, it can also be used to splice other items with slightly good demand such as Audio Racks/Gears. Here are the steps if you are interested in it though :

Danger Sign(can purchase from SSP stores!) + Orange Block Seed(farmable component!) = Biohazard Sign(not a farmable component)

Biohazard Sign(not a farmable component) + Sheet Music: Sharp Piano (farmable component!) = Military Radio (final product!)

I suggest putting 3/5 of your budget into Orange Blocks and farm them up, along with Sharp Pianos. When you feel that you are done farming them, then purchase the necessary amount of Danger Signs and splice them together.
I highly suggest getting a fuel harvesting service for the Military Radios.

Windows ( farmable component ) + Door = Dungeon Door ( not a farmable component )
Dungeon Door ( not a farmable component )+ Death Spikes ( farmable component ) = Portcullis ( not a farmable component )
Portcullis(not a farmable component) + Sandstone Wall (farmable component) = Ancient Stone Gates (final product)

It is recommended to farm the farmable components as much as possible (around 5 or more cycles) before moving on to the next step.
Do not farm the unfarmable components as you will experience seed loss rather than seed gain.

I wouldn't say it is highly recommended. I have already stated on the first line of text I posted above earlier that they have fallen off quite a little.

You can take inputs from other massers as well, not everyone has the same opinion about a certain topic. They may say that Military Radio masses are "the best" or something around that. I'm just giving my thoughts about these things, and I'm not necessarily right all the time.
