It is recommended to farm the farmable components as much as possible ( 5 cycles or perhaps even more, up to your preference. ).

Massing is usually the process of splicing two seeds together (which has an pre-existing recipe), into another component which builds up into the final product.

Massing slightly differs from the usual " farming " process, you do not just plant, harvest and break and repeat for massing. You have to evaluate and plan your steps carefully as it could potentially result in you losing more WLs for every mistake you do.

One of the biggest worries you should have as a masser would be the issue of seed loss. When cycling through to the last step, some components may be unfarmable components, and therefore will result in seed loss per cycle. You can mitigate this by using fruit drop boosters like harvesters [with fuels to proc the double fruit drop eff] and dcs, or break blocks with blue ances and bbh.

To further follow up on this point, you should only cycle through an unfarmable component once.
But, how should I tell whether the block is farmable or not?

For farmable components, you should cycle through them more than once, as it will reduce future step seed loss (considering the next step is a non farmable component)

Something to take note of is that Lazy Massing does not equal to normal Massing. Lazy Massing will more often than not result in you losing wls.

Firstly, nobody said your masses had to start from scratch. You can start from farmable components and farm them up. It is recommended to farm them at least 5 cycles, you can go above 5 cycles, that's good for you if you do.

Next, lazy massing just does not work. I don't get why you're so bent on lazy massing. At this rate, just don't mass. Seriously. If you add the cost of payment for fuel packs and stuff for someone to harvest for you, you're essentially DEPROFITING.

Best way to profit with that budget is to mass in my opinion.

However, there are better ways of profiting rather than massing since you'll be dealing with high quantities of blocks if you were to mass with a full 20DLs.

You could try out reselling, especially during events. Summerfest should be approaching soon, so what you could do is buy summer surprises at a cheap rate and sell them for a higher price, or craft Summer Artifact Chests and sell them when the spotlight system spotlights on a rare phoenix item, such as Phoenix Wings. The demand of Summer Artifact Chests will rise heavily, and so will the price if the supply is unmet.

Another option would be to get a station farm. This is a long term profit process, and it just requires about 30 minutes of your time daily. Make fuel packs and then sell them.

An unpopular move but still doable one would be to open a surg pack / crime pack store. Your profit scales based on packs stored as well as the prices you set them for.

You could also go with low level trading, but there's a slight risk, and that is you may deprofit during the process.

One of the best ways to check an item's price you are keen on trading with is to act as a seller, and root out buyers. You can try to state a price or state none at all, and just wait for them to offer you. You can do this the other way round as well- act as a buyer if you're selling an item. This works most of the time, and is recommended if you are looking into the price and demand at that point in time.

Take note, the price may fluctuate in a short span of even minutes, due to the influx of supply OR demand.
Peak pricing fluctuates based on changing circumstances—such as increase in demand at a certain time, the type of customers being targeted, or evolving market conditions[influx of players etc.].
Peak period in Growtopia is basically the time frame where most players are active. With the influx of players due to the peak period, you can increase your selling price based on such circumstances. Items with high demand will also be easily sold during the peak hour. However, this could also bring in more sellers of the item you’re trying to sell, and an over flow of supply at a certain point in time could bring the average price of the item down. This could also work for Off-Peak hours, as the item has low supply during off-peak hours, it is possible to sell it for a higher price due to higher demand at a certain point in time.

Another method is to directly go to the trade world itself and compare prices. Comparing prices can save you some wls as well as increase your overall profit (or vice versa in terms of selling)
