It's a lazy method, but it works for me nevertheless.

Of course I do this with a high budget, so I don't really recommend it if you start low but as long as you can get 1.2k seeds of each. You're good to go from my experience

Could say so.

Tackles do not really require much effort, and a full farm of tackles ( 5200 tackles usually ) can easily get you 1-120WLs per harvest ( harvestable every 2 days ) that's basically 50-60WLs a day with just committing 30 minutes of your time.

As for BFGs, you will have to put in more work and commitment. Your profits could outclass that of a single full tackle farm harvest, but you would have to do more farms. As a BFG owner, your profit is solely reliant on gems from harvesting and excess seed gain ( considering you do not break any blocks ).

To sum it up, tackles are better if you cannot find time to play the game, and still want decent profit.
BFGs are more tiring and might require a few hours of work.

The demand for them will increase in about 5 days from now; the reason for this is because Surgery Stars was announced that it'd start next Friday, and that Elegant Bone Saws requires 100 steel blocks in its recipe to craft just one elegant.

Massing portcullis (or Ancient Stone Gates) really isn't that hard, it just requires commitment and time.

Windows ( farmable component ) + Door = Dungeon Door ( not a farmable component )
Dungeon Door ( not a farmable component )+ Death Spikes ( farmable component ) = Portcullis ( final product )

It is recommended to farm the farmable components as much as possible before moving on to the next step.
Do not farm the unfarmable components as you will experience seed loss rather than seed gain.

You can further path on towards Ancient Stone Gates by splicing Portcullis with Sandstone Walls. Sandstone Walls are a farmable component as well.
