#1 No, you can't get profits from doing "Buy seeds, plant, sell" method since the price is a bit different from Laser Grid.

#2 Yes, you have to do this method for 4 times till the Fertile Soil Block is ready. Bountiful Lattice Fence is farmable so you get more seeds the more you break it.

Bountiful Lattice Fence is different from Laser Grid, it needs to be planted on a block called Fertile Soil Block otherwise it wouldn't give you the gems that I mentioned before, thus why an empty farm for it usually cost 45-50wls.

You might want to try out massing portcullis

The steps to that are pretty simple.

Windows ( farmable component ) + Door = Dungeon Door ( not a farmable component )

Dungeon Door ( not a farmable component )+ Death Spikes ( farmable component ) = Portcullis ( final product )

It is recommended to farm the farmable components as much as possible before moving on to the next step.
Do not farm the unfarmable components as you will experience seed loss rather than seed gain.
