Investments are great if they are either
> Event-limited: most items which are event limited usually sees a distinguishable rise in price >= 6 months from the event's occurrence
> Quest-required AND event-limited: added bonus on top of the above point, makes its supply deplete faster in the market
> Very rare and/or have no supply restock

Investments are long term, do not expect short term wonders from it.

I assume you're inquiring on investing since that was your previous query- Magic Eggs are great investments since it's Easter Week currently and they're pretty close to their lowest price (*which I should point out, starts around Day 5 onwards). Would definitely require you to hold them for a long period of time before you can see a distinguishable rise- something like holding BMCs and GBCs.

Massing is usually the process of splicing two seeds together (which has an existing recipe), into another component which builds up into the final product.

Massing slightly differs from the usual " farming " process, you do not just plant, harvest and break and repeat for massing. You have to evaluate and plan your steps carefully as it could potentially result in you losing more WLs for every mistake you do.

One of the biggest worries you should have as a masser would be the issue of seed loss. When cycling through to the last step, some components may be unfarmable components, and therefore will result in seed loss per cycle. You can mitigate this by using fruit drop boosters like harvesters [with fuels to proc the double fruit drop eff] and dcs, or break blocks with blue ances and bbh.

To further follow up on this point, you should only cycle through an unfarmable component once.
But, how should I tell whether the block is farmable or not?
Search through the farmability guide. https://growtopia.fandom.com/wiki/Farmability_Guide
For farmable components, you should cycle through them more than once, as it will reduce future step seed loss (considering the next step is a non farmable component)

Something to take note of is that Lazy Massing does not equal to normal Massing. Lazy Massing will more often than not result in you losing wls.
Lazy massing is purchasing and splicing the pre-step seeds together to obtain the final product. This will more often than not result in you losing WLs and is not recommended.

As said earlier, massing is the process of splicing two seeds together (which has an pre-existing recipe), into another component which builds up into the final product. However, you should start from farmable components and continously refarm them in order to mitigate future step seed loss to maximize your profit.

There are some worlds such as MASS or MASSHELP which has information and steps to guide you on how to mass. Always remember to check whether a block is farmable or not to follow up with more than one or just one cycle.

Note: "Components", in this case, refers to blocks/wallpapers.

Depends, farming laser grid will give gems at a faster rate than farming chand and it has lower growth time but chand is expensive which means the amount of was worth of chand will multiply fast

Plumbings mass procedure:
Farm the Brown Blocks up till you reach the same number of seeds as the Crappy Signs Seeds you have, then splice them together. Harvest the Toilet Trees and break them into seeds, do not farm Toilets as they are not farmable. After this, farm up the White Blocks till you reach the same number of Toilet seeds you have, then splice them together to get Bathtub Trees. Again, harvest them and break them into seeds, but don't farm them as they are not farmable. Then, farm the Green Blocks up till you reach the same number of Bathtub Seeds you have and splice both of them together for Plumbings Tree. It is recommended to break Plumbings into seeds due to the seeds having more demand and value.

Assuming you have 1DL budget:
Crappy Sign seed ~180/WL ( get 27WLs worth of this )
Brown Block seed ~180/WL ( get 7WLs worth of this ) [Farmable Component]
White Block seed ~30/WL ( get 30WLs worth of this ) [Farmable Component]
Green Block seed ~130/WL ( get 7WLs worth of this ) [Farmable Component]
Use the rest for Dirt Farms and/or Fuel Packs

Plumbings:
Optional step: Door + Dirt = Crappy Sign (not a farmable component)
Crappy Sign(not a farmable component) + Brown Block (farmable component) = Toilet (not a farmable component)
Toilet (not a farmable component) + White Block (farmable component) = Bathtub (not a farmable component)
Bathtub (not a farmable component) + Green Block (farmable component) = Plumbings (not a farmable component)

The same procedure goes on for the other two. Basically, just note this: If they're farmable, farm them. Otherwise, don't farm them. This is key in mass projects due to seed loss.

Rainbow Blocks :
Orange Block ( farmable component ) + Purple Block ( farmable component ) = Rainbow Blocks ( end product )

Ancient Stone Gates :
Windows ( farmable component ) + Door = Dungeon Door ( not a farmable component )
Optional step : Danger Sign + Rock Background = Death Spikes
Dungeon Door ( not a farmable component )+ Death Spikes ( farmable component ) = Portcullis ( not a farmable component )
Portcullis(not a farmable component) + Sandstone Wall (farmable component) = Ancient Stone Gates (not a farmable component)

It is only recommended to harvest trees with fuel packs equipped along with a harvester if the price of the farmable seeds are costlier than the price of fuel packs. Otherwise, you'd be making a loss. If you do not own a Harvester and DCS, hire a harvesting service! Remember to provide Fuel Packs.

It is good to note that you get more profit from one cycle of Chandeliers compared to one cycle of Laser Grids. What makes Laser Grids better when we're just comparing one farm is the short growth time, which allows for more iterations (and basically gets a profit lead overall).

If you have multiple farms (to off-set the growth time advantage), Chandeliers are better. Otherwise, stick with Laser Grids.

Would also like to point out that swapping your unready farm to ready farm to off-set the growth time advantage is a bad move as it costs quite a lot to swap unready Chandelier farm to ready Chandelier farm, which all in all deducts from your profit.

If you're mostly active and online, I would highly suggest trade profiting. Very good profit method if done right, honestly way better on highly popular and beneficial items such as Ancestral Artifacts (any variants are good to flip), but you also gain more profit from high rarity and pricey items. The key thing to note here is to buy at buyer prices or you will most of the time lose out.

If you're inactive, stick with provider farms or put them all into other investments instead. Stuff like running a BFG is just bad (due to how much moderation it requires).

I think you should change the recent requirements to become a moderator, the current moderator is really useless. Why do you have lots of mods but almost all of them are useless or active in banning bots, etc.? Why are you guys so focused on the casino? I know it's illegal but you also have to stop spammers at START, and many others. Mods are completely useless now. This game is a little dead because the moderators are lazy to carry out their duties.

You have to update the requirements to become a moderator, experience in playing Growtopia alone to become a moderator is not enough, you have to find a moderator who really wants to work for growtopia by banning worlds other than casinos. You guys are just too focused on the casino even though besides that Lots of world bot rotation auto farm, and many others but what do the moderators do? If you're active, consider Massing, Root Farming or Ghost Hunting. Ghost Hunting is a great low effort short term profit method; the other two are long term and requires quite a lot of effort but generally gives more profit. Amphoras and Plumbings are great mass projects to consider, and Bountiful Lattice Fences are by far the most cost efficient and time efficient (actually, efficient in all aspects) bountiful farmable which you should definitely choose if you're going for Root Farming option.

The seed loss is really high on this particular mass project (take into consideration that there's nearly 3 whole steps without *an important *farmable component from the base farmable seed onwards ), and your mass budget cannot really afford to pay for dcs + harvester + fuel packs harvesting services.

Still possible to do, but the seed loss you experience may just kick you back if you handle it wrongly. I'd really go for Plumbings (or even Bathtubs!) due to its current high price and demand, with Bathtub seeds being sold off very easily at 7/1.

If you can plan to convert to another profit method which effectively uses all the DLs and are sure that it generates you profit (such as a larger scale mass project or just placing them into provider farms) then sell it and commit to it, otherwise just stick with the investment. Investing is a lazy and passive way of getting profit afterall.

You could also provide Growscan services as a service provider (i.e charging the customer 5 per Growscan service), but this is very very, very prone to scams. You'd have to get the world key from the owner (so the owner cannot take your Growscan) and then scan then collect your Growscan back and pass the world key back to the owner. Sounds easy enough but some service buyers will play some tricks and scam your Growscan eventually. If you plan to offer such services to make use of your Growscan for more passive and lazy profit, this is a great way to. You can advertise your services in #💰trade-services as well.

Purchasing unready farms and reselling them when they're ready is a great start. It isn't completely risk-free however, it definitely still has its fair share of risks as price fluctuations could occur within the span of hours (in this case, days may be a stronger term). Still a great passive profit choice nevertheless.

Silkworms are also pretty great now as a form of passive profit, with the insane rise in demand for Silk Bolt - Purple ever since Bunny Beanie's release during Easter Week 2023. Great to go for Purple silk threads (or any of the highly demanded silk bolts)

Profit scales with number of Silkworms you plan to get and maintain, best case scenario over the course of the full 20 days. Silkworms starts giving out silk threads from day 2 onwards.

It is also good to note that each Silkworm drops an average of 5.5 threads per harvest.

Gemonade fishing means to fish for Gems with the Gemonade buff active; you'll get 125 Gems per fish catch with Gemonade active. It is a great way to farm Gems and the profit condition is maximized during Gem-heavy events such as Summerfest.
And again, this would require
• a Thanksgiving Dinner Fishing Rod
• a Gemonade
• a Trawlerman's Friend
• some baits (usually 200 is enough for 1 Gemonade)

How much profit could i expect?
On average, each run grants 20,000 to 22,000 Gems. This is assuming you got most of the catches and had nearly not much delay in between fishing intervals. Your profit is further boosted if you have fishing role levels and got fishing role drops. You'd have to have satisfied the requirements during the gemonade fishing cycle to get them.

Assuming you do not, you could expect ~28 if we assume Gems to be calculated at 700 / . It could go higher during Summerfest (especially the first few hours of the event). Your clean profit should be (28 - 15) = ~13 , and again you can expect more or less based on how the gems are used and how they are valued overall.

And how kuch captial do i need to start profiting?
Thanksgiving Dinner Fishing Rod currently goes for ~20 , and is the costliest item out of this. Just get this, Gemonade, Trawlerman's Friend and a stack of baits and you'll be ready to go.

Definitely ghost hunting, it's a low effort profit method and does not require much time.

Before you head into that, you might want to consider spending some time purchasing farmables (Laser Grids) and donating them through the store for G4G event points up till a special hamper. A special hamper costs ~55 and about 19 worth of Laser Grids at 180 / should give you enough points to get 2 normal hampers and 1 special hamper from the event banner in the gem store. Your clean profit through this should be around 36 . Subsequent donations will have lower points than the first few ones as you won't get the additional daily points and they reduce with each donation, which resets every Growtopia day! Could also do a mix with World Lock donations.

Plumbings mass procedure:
Farm the Brown Blocks up till you reach the same number of seeds as the Crappy Signs Seeds you have, then splice them together. Harvest the Toilet Trees and break them into seeds, do not farm Toilets as they are not farmable. After this, farm up the White Blocks till you reach the same number of Toilet seeds you have, then splice them together to get Bathtub Trees. Again, harvest them and break them into seeds, but don't farm them as they are not farmable. Then, farm the Green Blocks up till you reach the same number of Bathtub Seeds you have and splice both of them together for Plumbings Tree. It is recommended to break Plumbings into seeds due to the seeds having more demand and value.
