It is a slow and gradual rise for the rare items ( i.e GHC ) as well. It won't immediately rise to some absurd numbers right after the event.

This wasn't really popular before the previous Pandemic, so the prices of Mutated Cells / Mutated Seed did not rise that high up.

Depends on whether the seeds are cheap or not. If you lazy mass the tree with expensive seeds then the latter is cheaper.

It is wise to calculate before committing to a particular lazy mass.

This definitely requires a few days of observations first before actually committing to it. I heavily suggest trading stuff which are event restricted ( i.e Emerald Pickaxe ) or those where their recipes have been rising lately / method of obtainment has been rising in price lately ( i.e bllade's Celestius ). Lurking around REICH, SPEND or SEEDS is a great way to source for items to trade on.

If you're still having troubles on figuring out what to trade on, you might want to consider flipping items from BUYRAINBOW/BUYBUNNY/BUYANCES. These worlds always have players in it consistently during peak hours and is good to practice trading in, if you're new to trading!

One of the best ways to check an item's price you are keen on trading with is to act as a seller, and root out buyers. You can try to state a price or state none at all, and just wait for them to offer you. You can do this the other way round as well- act as a buyer if you're selling an item. This works most of the time, and is recommended if you are looking into the price and demand at that point in time.

Take note, the price may fluctuate in a short span of even minutes, due to the influx of supply OR demand.
Peak pricing fluctuates based on changing circumstances—such as increase in demand at a certain time, the type of customers being targeted, or evolving market conditions[influx of players etc.].
Peak period in Growtopia is basically the time frame where most players are active. With the influx of players due to the peak period, you can increase your selling price based on such circumstances. Items with high demand will also be easily sold during the peak hour. However, this could also bring in more sellers of the item you’re trying to sell, and an over flow of supply at a certain point in time could bring the average price of the item down. This could also work for Off-Peak hours, as the item has low supply during off-peak hours, it is possible to sell it for a higher price due to higher demand at a certain point in time.

Another method is to directly go to the trade world itself and compare prices. Comparing prices can save you some wls as well as increase your overall profit (or vice versa in terms of selling)

Holding a Geiger Counter with you is also recommended as well, no matter how low or high your budget is.

Massing Amphoras or any easy mass projects such as Paint Buckets (you can start a mini vend store with this!), Blue Portals are great if you are very active in Growtopia!

Trade Profiting also works with your budget, and you should do it if you can effectively trade. You can flip items in BUYBUNNY/BUYBOW/BUYRAINBOW/BUYNECK/BUYANCES, by following the theory of 'buy low, sell high'. Do be advised that trading has its risks, and you may lose out when trade profiting. It is always good practice to check and observe the price of the item for a few hours to even days before committing.
Trade profiting sometimes also includes time as a factor. Items which are quite popular are more likely to rise in demand during peak hours of the game (from 6am to 12pm gt time!) Ancestral Artifacts are a good example of this.

Root farming / normal (or traditional) farming are also great! It works as a stable profit method, and your profit comes from, of course, farming.

Ghost hunting is also a great profit method, where your profit scales based on how proficient you are at it. With 9 , you'll be dealing with a lot more jars, so it may get a little tiring. You might want to split a portion of it for other profit methods rather than put it all into one in this case. This theory may also be applied to cooking, don't put everything into one profit method if they do not generate you much world locks.

You can also pick up passive profit methods such as opening a mini vend store, making and selling ready farms(this is exceptionally well for a low budget lazy profit method). Do be advised that passive profit methods do not generate much compared to normal profit methods & they take quite a while before profits are seen as they're "lazy profit methods".

Also, always hold a Geiger Counter with you and complete your role quests whenever possible, to unlock more profit methods for yourself in the future

You can also make use of the peak hour and off peak hours in Growtopia to resell your stuff. High popularity items usually has an increase in value (or demand) during peak hours of the game. Other markets such as BUYBUNNY / BUYHAND / BUYCAPE / BUYRAINBOW should also be considered.

Farming and Traditional Farming should also be considered! Valentine's Week, one of the biggest and heavily reliant on gem is upcoming, which makes farming a great preparation for it.

For lazy/passive profit methods:
Investing is a great choice, but may not really be effective if you're placing a portion into it; placing them into event-exclusive items and holding them for a few months will usually see a distinguishable rise in price.

Opening a Vending shop is pretty good with your budget. This is pretty self explanatory. The tough part of this is the advertising of the store.

Getting a provider farm (Science Stations are recommended) and harvesting them regularly - This is pretty self explanatory; your profit comes from harvesting the providers. A full science station farm gives ~15 per harvest cycle.

Reselling of ready farms - This profit basically is lazy, as it just requires you to purchase unready farms, then wait for them to grow and sell them as ready. Best options to do this on would be on highly popular farmables (i.e Pepper Trees). Do be aware of scams when purchasing unready farms though, or make one directly yourself, that's the best option.

Make and sell dirt farms

Buy bountiful lattice fences, break and sell seeds with that world lock
