I have no idea on the prices of the current market right now, so I cannot advise you on what exactly to trade profit. However, one good way to trade profit would be to look out for event/number-exclusive items, and trade profit them if their prices has been rising for a few days ( you should always observe their prices before trade profiting with them ).

An example would be Emerald Pickaxe. Their price will constantly rise throughout the year, and it is a safe pick to trade profit with. The only main concerns are fluctuations, which are pretty much hard to predict

You could build a soil farm in order to minimize costs. ( Fertile Soil Blocks are farmable, and have a low growth time. )

For the bountiful farming process, you'd need to plant the same bountiful seed 4 times, in order for it to become mature roots. When they are mature, you will be able to harvest gems out of the soil blocks.

I would recommend farming either Bountiful Lattice Fence or Bountiful Growtopian-Eating Looming Plant as a bountiful farmable, as both of them provides high gem outputs(from the mature roots), and are pretty efficient.

Bountiful Lattice Fence is by far the most efficient one, and provides 83-120 gems per mature soil block, which means about 20-30 gems per soil block for each cycle.

You can visit BUYSOILFARM for a visual guide on how the roots would look like at different levels.
