Hey everyone,

We all know the game has been struggling lately due to inflation and extreme botting. I wanted to share a few suggestions that could help fix the economy and reduce bot abuse:

1. Vending Machine Tax (1%–2.5%)
   When a player buys from a vending machine, a small tax could be applied (1%–2.5%). This would help remove world locks (WLs) from circulation, helping reduce inflation without hitting casual players too hard.

2. Trade Tax (0%–2.5%)
   For player-to-player trades using trade locks, a minor trade tax could be introduced. Something like 0%–2.5%, depending on the trade size or frequency. This would make it so players don't always get 100% of the profit, and some WLs get drained from the economy.

3. ID Verification to Play
   To deal with extreme botting, a full ID verification system should be required to play Growtopia. This would drastically reduce the number of bot accounts since creating fake IDs at scale is way harder than just making throwaway accounts.

These are just some ideas that could slowly restore balance to the game. Would love to hear your thoughts — what do you think?

ID's could also be stored temporarily, for a few minutes, then the system would create an uuid and bind that to your account, boom you are id verified with no id in the servers

With a little bit of tinkering and careful planning, they could make the system basically leak-proof

This same system is used with a bunch of crypto apps, popular app-based banks and more, and is proven to be one of the best ways to id verify ppl

One fix would be optimising the packets, and getting a few more servers, this would also increase the player cap

Botting could also be fixed, just shadowban everyone who is repeating messages, sure we would get a few false bans, but most of the bans would be legitimate bot bans

Right now the servers are at max capasity, my theory is that everyone spam connecting gets shadowbanned so the servers wont blow up
