The only real way to know a god roll is just by knowing what perks go together very well, or perform very well in certain scenarios. '

All you gotta do is kill those taken knights while standing in "dark" and "light" spots of the map. You can tell from looking at the bottom of screen, there will be black tendrils coming up from there, signifying you're standing in a dark spot, or light tendrils, signifying a light spot.

Killing a knight while standing in a dark spot will make them drop dark motes and light motes if standing in a light spot.

Collecting 5 of these motes will max you out, and you'll start to carry this little object. Bring this object to the corresponding little fountain of light/dark emerging from a platform, stand right on it, and press the fire button, this will make you "expunge" the object. You'll know if you're successful if the fountain goes out.
