talking about disgusting i went to get help on buttons yesterday with an example code that was so well and neatly formatted

the question was asking on how to get a "reply" when the button was clicked- the answer was straight forward after i searched through tens of forums pages but couldn't implement it properly- wait_for statement

people i asked help on referred me to a git telling me to subclass all my codes in buttons when there's no need to made me waste 4 whole hours yesterday istg these people

the wait_for statement essentially could wait for an interaction or message ( this case i waited for an interaction ) and it would be directed to a menu or button interaction

i assigned all the buttons to a particular custom_id to easily identify them upon their recieved interaction

used oop for every single element here under cogs, all in one class, no subclassing needed i literally had no reason to create another class just for Views

the funniest part has to be the getting of a "reply" from the button, like seriously i took 5 hours figuring one line- no, one statement out!! WHAT!!!!

in the end i got it working- the wait_for iirc returns a whole dictionary ( in that case i just needed the value of the custom_id key ) and then check against a whole list of strings which is what i use to call the objects, getattr(self, value) and then bla bla bla
