One of the main points of feedback we've forwarded is "locking" your chat customisations between sessions and moving worlds.

So if you set up the chat at the top, it would stay that way until you moved it. I think that'd solve most things.

I think also the problem is your character placement, meaning when you are playing, your character isn’t in the center like it was before, it feels like the old UI is pulled down the screen but we just cant see it

Yeah, this is a bug and has been reported. You can fix it yourself for now by dragging up the chat in EXIT.

Well back in the old one if you wanted to see more of the screen (and less chat) you would drag the icon up in the middle, but now instead of that you have to drag the corner which would not only decrease the size but change the width of the chat box which doesnt feel nice in normal gameplay... Having a fixed width chat box that was center was nice but now its impossible to have it and keep it center while moving it up or down for less or more room

not to mention its gonna be hard (and confusing) to add the "New" chat to the EXIT screen since a floating chat box above buttons and an input box sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, The old chat already had an issue where you could click through it causing you to accidentally enter worlds when moving it up or down...
