Hello I have a problem. There are certain plugins that work perfectly with the commands in the console but when executing them on the server the command does not work for me and an "unknown command" appears

if people are logging in as an administrator on your server even though you have bungee, make sure online mode is enabled on bungee & the server, and also make sure you're not forwarding the port you're using on the proxied server
microsoft migration does not solve this issue, minecraft authenticates in essentially the same way it did but players are now only able to get valid authentication tokens via Microsoft instead of Mojang (although they haven't actually disabled Mojang auth yet)

I have a feeling that since it's an 8 bit shift register the 0 that is input into it means that the 8th bit input doesn't work because it runs out of memory

If it has 8 bits then it has enough memory for 8 keys?

yes, so the plugin im trying to get is called One In The Chamber [1.12-1.16.5] I have a 1.18 server and after loading it up everything works fine exept for one thing, to create a match you have to set the spawns and such but when i try to use the /oitc edit command it pops up with this error "An internal error occurred while attempting to preform this command" all the other commands work such as /oitc create and /oitc help etc

Looks like auth servers might just be down?
Id recommend contacting Paper as they can prob give more insight, and as we dont offer support for Paper

I'm currently trying to setup the /server <server_name> command for my network however players cannot access the permissions for the commands.
This is the bungee config on it's server:

Usually the most recent version. A lot of good plugins also update pretty quickly so usually the latest and the version behind it have the most availability.
unless the plugin uses nms it can support multiple versions ahead of its own (so I recommend latest release)

Whenever I join this multiverse world, the server crashes. I have loaded the oldest copy of the map and it still crashes. I have no idea what this means and I have been trying for days to figure it out.
Your server is trying to load a newer world. You can't downgrade worlds, so your only real options are to load an older version of the world that was made for your server version, or upgrade your server to the latest version.

That means that the world was either optimized for a newer version, or it was loaded onto a newer server and had newer chunks created alongside older ones. I guess you could try and target chunks that have been created with the newer version and remove them, but you're kinda screwed if you don't have a proper backup and your world has been upgraded to a newer version.

You'd need some sort of chunk analyzer tool. Something that can read the .roi files. What version was the backup created in and are you sure that the backup wasn't tampered with?
The backup was created in spigot 1.16.5 and the server is on paper 1.16.5. The backup has not been tampered with as it has been on my hard drive this whole time.

It could. I don't know a whole lot about the differences between the two, but I do know that Paper has a different implementation for everything world related. Maybe try using an older version of multiverse? Or try loading the world on a spigot server.

Well the issue is with game versions. Anything that has been created for newer versions will not work in older versions. So I'd try to see if the world even loads properly in 1.16.5 on spigot first. If it does, then yea, use that world.
If it doesn't, you can either try removing chunks that were created with the newer version, or update the server so that it can load it.

Well, according to the error, some of the chunks have apparently been upgraded to a newer version. IIRC, McEdit can remove chunks, but I haven't used that in a long time.
Are you the only person who's had access to the world? Your backup solution might be fine, but if other people have access to the files, then it could have been changed without you knowing.

More than likely. You'd probably notice plugins not working as they are not guaranteed to work on newer versions. But the worlds would load as they get converted to the newest version automatically when they are loaded.
I.E. If you have a world made for 1.13 and you load it on a 1.14 server. The world will be flagged for 1.14.

Well that would probably require some specialized chunk tools. I'm not currently aware of any that exist. Also, there is one potential issue with that. If the world chunks have been optimized for newer versions, then changing the flag won't work. Once the chunks have been optimized for a newer version, there is nothing you can do to downgrade it.
It's just one of those limitations of the game. 😛

I'm gonna lean more towards yes. Other forks could do anything they want in order to increase server performance and if that means updating the world, then it's possible. I don't think spigot does this as you have to manually optimize your worlds, but it's possible.

Yea. If your world was loaded on a newer version and someone was in the world, then it's extremely likely.

There might be a potential hack of sorts, but it would take lots of time and be extremely impractical. It also depends on if what I'm thinking of would even work.
You might be able to convert parts of the world to a .schematic file and load it in with worldedit. Ideally, you'd make a program that does this for you, but the issue with this is whether or not these would load in older versions.
Again, extremely impractical, but a potentially hacky solution.

Well if that's your oldest backup and you are still getting the same error, then you are stuck with the two options presented in the beginning.
I mean, you at least have the world, so it's better than losing it entirely.
I'd recommend making a copy and upgrading it to a newer version. That way, everything is consistent for that copy. Then, whenever you upgrade in the future, you'll already have it ready.
If you want to go down the route of editing chunks. I'd look into McEdit first as it will likely be the easiest to use.

That's what the program is for. It's not that they are glitched, it's just that they are newer. So you'd want to compare either a version number (like in the error) or whatever the program gives you for comparison. There should be tools in McEdit that can give you that information.

I was wondering because I planed on hosting a server on my computer but, sometimes I am not home and my friends want to play. My solution was to download google drive desktop so I can run run.bat on my pc but have the files update in google so anyone can start the server and have the correct data. However I have run into an issue if they run the server I need to know if the server-ip section in server.properties will affect the ability for people to connect since if one of my friends runs the server the ip i have in server-ip does not correspond with their ip address.

Well yeah we would host it locally one at a time. But, I don't see why that's a bad idea.
corruption possibilities up the wazoo, only one person can play at a time. if 2 people try to play locally it will fuck the files most likely. There are free host servers.

The free host servers are laggy with multiple players online

it works, its just not reliable at all and can lead to issue, everyone has to have access to your googledrive, and have it installed, along with java installed. You might as well just make a single player world you guys just constantly upload and download.

I'm running a 1.17.1 spigot server(I noticed the rule saying not to ask 1.17 questions and gives a link but I found nothing useful on that link) and mob spawning is much slower than a single player game. I've set my view-distance to 16, spawn-limits in bukkit.yml to default(70 for monsters) and ticks per monster-spawns to 1. I've searched for it but most are talking about mob caps and that is not the problem. Why is that and is it possible to make mobs to spawn quicker?
And server tps is 20, I don't think it's caused by server lag.

Just make sure you're on the latest 1.17.1. There was an issue I believe in 1.17.1 where mob spawns were rather infrequent

So I'm using this plugin called AJQUEUE but its not working and the dev said I should ask for help here, this is what he said "ajQueue simply tells bungeecord to send the player. Bungeecord handles actually sending the player. We know ajQueue is telling bungeecord to send the player, so any issue after that would be either bungee or the target server"
but commands like send (playername) (servername) works
Are there any errors or messages in the Bungeecord or server console?

Is someone good at compiling spigot or plugins? I have a java class version issue and im kind of giving up already but i need to get this working
You need to compile with the same (or lower) java version than the server is running
Yeah, well thats my problem… my server is runing java 16.0.2 wich should be java class 60 but the plugin i want to use is 61 so theoreticly i shoulb be able to compile spigot with 17.x to support v61 or am i wrong.. plan b would be to try to revive a discontinued plugin but in this case i would have to fight with maven, so yeah a bit complicated
It would be easier to downgrade the java version of the plugin
I did not made the plugin and i dont know much about all these config files
Although since the plugin is designend for Java 17 it's most likley not made to support your version
