👋 I am trying to set up a development test server right now with BuildTools for 1.16.5 and am experiencing weird issues. Don't get me wrong, I've set up a lot of servers in the past but this is the first time since a few month I think.
I did everything as regularly using Git Bash and my directory was filled properly after setting eula=true
Here's the thing: I can ONLY run the jar with Git Bash, NOT with PowerShell or regular Command line. Why's that? I would like to run it inside IntelliJ to be honest and don't want GitBash

Have each server running essentials with Vault installed. Install Vault and TokenManager on the BungeeCord server. My idea is that the Essentials economies will only work on the individual servers, and TokenManager will work across the whole network.

it is an intermediate plugin API that lets other plugins interface with various economy plugins without having to code all that yourself

VPS's on the other hand still pretty much true, but its like 50/50 with those providers if they are not a datacenter
Datacenters can't survive by ripping people off. Since if they become known for that, they will simply lose customers or never attract the large paying ones.

My stuff only goes down when I move or when the power goes out for too long, heh. I've only had downtime like 5 times or so since I bought the house in 2018. 24x7 comes with its own issues though; the heat it puts out makes my garage hover around 80 degrees. I thought about framing out a closet around the rack and drilling a hole through the wall to the outside then getting a portable AC and hooking the vent to the hole, but my friend said that boxing the rack in a small closet will just super amp up the heat and make the AC not work well so now I dunno what I'm gonna do.
I have a trunk for the house's central air running through the garage, he suggested cutting into it to add a vent. Not sure I wanna do that though, as it will cause a pressure drop downstream. (shrug)

I actually never intended to buy the rack, it's just I wanted to build a file server with enough capacity to mirror an anime service's content and the best array cases are typically rack based. So I figured if I have to go rack, I'll convert all my other stuff to rack as well heh.

@tame ice you are not going to find a plugin that alters the tick rate. Mainly because so much has to be changed to the extent that not even reflection will be adequate to accomplish this. The tick rate controls so much and changing it doesn't mean magically your server performs better either. But the main thing that will happen if you do change it is literally everything will either speed up or slow down

Yes, just execute it from the command line, double clicking on that stuff to make it run causes issues most of the time
normally shouldn't happen with the start.bat but sometimes even batch scripts have problems when executed in this way

Yeah I just modified the registry to add it. As long as you know where to go in the registry, in this case many tutorials will tell you where. It is just a matter of adding 1 thing to it and that is it.
