I have been running 20$ Linode 4Gb Shared cpu vps server for an very active minecraft smp, 12 players on purpur and few plugins (essentials coreprotect and a custom one also containing a discord bot), turns out it cant run along side a mysql server, and i need the mysql server specially for the custom plugin

I chose linode bc i was already there client for other stuff and they give you full control and a public ipv4 address that is only yours

What do you recommend me to do, should i rent an entire vps just for the mysql database (5$)

Or is there any other hosts that you recommend, but they must be honest, and not just sell me the RAM and "unlimited slots", the host must provide a server location in the Central Europe (preferably Germany)

generally if you are using multicraft it is because you are using a host that doesn't allow you full control which they tend to suck or you have a vps/dedi and you installed multicraft yourself.

My server is going pretty well, 20 tps with around 80 players, as usual. At some point, cpu usage goes from 20% to 100% for no reason. You would say.. Maybe its due to usage? No, its an infra OVH server and it goes pretty well with any quantity of players, this problem happens literally randomly, with no exact pattern. What solutions have I found? Well, none actually, the only two things that solve my problem is rebooting the OVH server or shutting all the screens, and then turning them ON back again. This only solves the problem temporarly, then it happens hours or days later for no reason. And i want to create an event where players should complete some tasks and then they receive a special sword. I want that sword to be unique so i thought i could add a texture pack on it, but I don't want every swords to look like that.
I googled and i could set that texture pack to a specific enchantment or name, but if anyone renames/enchants a sword it will get the texture pack.
Any ideas of how could i do that?

My friend is a streamer and i have helped him setup the server and made few custom plugins. While he is not streaming the server can handle 18 people no problem but as soon as he start to stream people crash the server with a memory leak even though there is 12 player limit at the time. SYSTEMD kills the process for using too much swap meanwhile there is always 1GB free for the system. System with minecraft server down uses ~120MB of ram and i have 3GB dedicated to it. Is there an exploit that can cause a memory leak?
