Sooo, I want to keep the worlds on my server completely isolated from each other (like seperate chat, tab list, money, login messages, etc.) and i have a shit ton of plugins for it like perworld chat and perworldtablist but there's a lot of plugins clouding up my server files and it's hard to manage. Hello, im my bungeecord is giving problems, whenever i try to join the server after few hours that the server is on, it doesn't let me or any other player join the server. Its stuck at an infinite "Logging in..." screen, after a bit it says "Timed Out" and that's it. Anyone knows how to fix?

not entirely sure what you mean. The server isn't freezing. You have to understand what exactly happens when you switch worlds
when you switch worlds, you technically respawn
so, because you respawn it is almost like joining the server. Your client waits till the essentials are initialized/rendered again to let you move/chat

your player technically dies without dying
and then is respawned in the world you intended to go to
A respawn packet is used to change worlds 😉
teleporting is even more weird if you could slow down the server's tick rate
players don't magically pop up at locations when they teleport or when entities are teleported in the same world but different location. If you actually slowed the server down, the server just moves you extremely fast or the entity to the destined location lol
another reason why many players or entities being teleported everywhere can cause lag 😛

Are the world folders ("world", "world_nether", etc.) always in the root folder (where, among others, the spigot-<version>.jar and spigot.yml) reside or is there a scenario where the world folders are somewhere else? There are some values you can tweak in the spigot.yml regarding spawn rates
If you're Paper or some other fork, it's possible they too make changes and have additional configuration options in their own files. Though as far as Spigot is concerned, spawn rates are handled in spigot.yml

hello, about a week ago i started a spigot minecraft server, my hardware for the pc that is hosting only the mc server has ryzen 3 3100, 16 gb, 10 gb dedicated, 450w psu and asrock fatality b450 mitx mobo with rx580. it is running 1.16.4 mc with paperspigot 284, my router is a tp link archer c50 and i have 250mbit up and down with 2 ms, my problem is that sometimes all players connected to the server just randomly gets bad ping sometimes and it says in the cmd that they are disconnected and that they are already on the server so they have to wait a little while before loggin in again, idk why it happens and it just happens randomly, the server has constant 20tps and ive never seen any dips at all except players getting randomly freezed then disconnected

tp link routers are not notorious for being decent quality in the areas of hosting purposes. In other words, it is probably hitting a limit in what it can keep track of connection wise and either internally crashes and restarts its connection listening process or something else like a cleanup process is going on.
it takes up resources for routers to keep track of connections and routers generally don't have a lot of resources especially consumer ones.

the only decent switches I know of are cisco ones, but they tend to be expensive
the routers I have are Asus routers
one is 5300 and the other 3200
both cost over $200
personally I prefer Asus routers because out of the box they allow SSH login
so you can SSH into the router and actually keep track of everything as well as resources being used other then the panel telling you.

Hello. I'm attempting to build a server for my daughter to use with her friends. 1) I've spun up a Ubuntu server in my home vmware farm and installed spigot.
2) I start the java server and i see server thread/info activity spool by. No errors are showing at least.
3) my ubuntu ufw (firewall) is disabled.
4) server properties shows server-port=25565
5) nmap for my port and LAN address of 192.168.1.58 returns:
PORT STATE SERVICE
25565/tcp open minecraft
BUT
When I open Minecraft on iOS, do Add Server. Put in the LAN address of 192.168.1.58. The ping never responds back for locating server, and join server fails.
Thoughts? i'm not sure where to go from here

Spigot is built for the Java Edition version of Minecraft, not Bedrock. There is a plugin that does allow bedrock clients to connect to a Java Edition server, id recommend that you check that out. https://geysermc.org/

hey, i have problem with my BungeeCord, players gets kicked out from server, and i get this in console:

connection-throttle in my bungeecord config is 4000, and on spigot server's is -1

a lot of factors could be causing that
I'm assuming it's a lot of players being kicked out

Maybe try tracking their ping first to check if the problem is on their side.

Well logically speaking, best thing to do would be to remove plugins one by one and check if they are causing the problem. Also why not change to Waterfall and Paper anyways, they optimize the server and could potentially fix the issue.

The only crackshot plugin I see on spigot doesn't support 1.16
