i want a command that works, but when a player types it in chat or tab-completes it, it doesn't show up as a real command (like shows as red and has no tab suggestions), but still runs when typed. Kinda like a secret or hidden command.

The mobs will be custom, as a plugin I use MytichMobs, for the management of the rewards there is no problem, an announcement will be made of when it will be given.
My problem is that I don't know how to make the counter of killed mobs.
I wanted to do it via hologram (CMI), can anyone tell me if there is some placeholder or some other way to do it.

what i have done so far.
I have updated every plugin. i have made sure im on 1.21.4 version of paper.
i have open all ports in port forwarding.
i have open both inbound and outbound ports on the firewall not just router.
i have deleted everything and started from a fresh copy of minecraft server.
i have checked every config file to make sure everything is on the same ports.
i spent hrs trying to figure this thing out since i bought this setup. and some reason the CMD says its online. But the game will not connect to server.
i have tested with bedrock. and what i see in the CMD is bedrock can join but it kicks me.
when server does load up in CMD the MC launcher will show the server is being ping.... but once done i get can't connect to server.
i have tested with java. the CMD does not even try to let java join at all. it does nothing dont tell me anything.
i have looked over the logs can't find an issue at all.
Did a fresh MC install. then put 1 plugin in the server at a time and ran the server each time. every plugin worked but Protocol.
however when i ran the server on another PC. the whole MC server worked. But i am running this server on my server tower. Dedicated server.
I have ran other Minecraft servers on the same tower with different versions. and they all worked. but this lobby server will not. because of protocollib plugin.
I made my own 2 servers with geyser and that work we can join the servers with both java and bedrock. im just confused now

this is with protocollib installed on the server.
once i remove that plugin. you can now see the server is up and running now.
and from the bottom of that cmd is my Wasted Prodigy Gamers server as you can see in the pic with 2 people in it playing. so i know its not my dedicated server. its working with other MC servers. idk why this one will not work with protocollib.
just found the issue. nvm.
my java version i have right now is 24. but for protocollib to work i needed jdk 21 and in bat file you have to point the location to it. like so

plus. making specific mobs that can be negatively affected by daylight(such as zombies) so they will spawn when there's at least one opaque block above them, during daylight.
Hi me and my frineds hosted an minecraft server on spigot. after updating to 1.21.5 our ilmango gold farm doesn´t give xp anymore and no gold swords, ingots and less nuggets. Does anybody know why and how to fix?

I found something interesting to ask you guys, let's say I want to split the gameplay. So there has to be 2 overworld, I want to use the first one to create maps for player and the second one to have the ability for the player to trade treasure maps with villager. The question here was. Was it possible for the server to create 2 different maps that use the same tag(map tags are 0358, with a number to differentiate them.) because it is stored in these worlds?

As far as I know, the bug that allowed that was fixed in vanilla.
Now you have to kill the mob yourself to get xp, just like any other mob
So there really is no "fix" as how it is is intended.

uhhh, I was trying to tag these villagers worldwide without having to place command blocks in all of these worlds, separately.
For example, I want to make the command blocks that are placed in Nether be able to tag these villagers within Overworld and The End, not just in Nether.
The reason for that, I have had someone who has suggested to me recently, to use /execute commands to apply it to online players (Which they believed could make the tagging commands execute globally), then applying a new tag to these Villagers.
these commands execute in all dimensions unless specified I'm pretty sure

you can test this, place a single armor stand in all dimensions, make sure the chunks are loaded (say by a player) and do say @e[type=armor_stand] (or the equivalent for your version)

I think paper already has the options to force load chunk, this modified world could fit perfectly to replace the 3 dimensions that I talked about that should not have the spawn loaded.
Just toggle it for this specific world to have its specified chunks loaded, it'd be great if command blocks are still applying global changes, which we mentioned earlier
The best thing was to figure out that the command blocks already applied globally, i was struggling to find how /execute command works, smh
spigot.yml always resets after being edited, no changes saved, including tick inactive villagers false

are you sure you are saving then, spigot shouldn't reset the edits you make unless maybe it regenerates the file if it encouters badly formatted spigot.yml

are you sure its spigot resetting your config and not smth like a permission issue with the user that's editing the file? how r u editing it (under which user and using which software), and also have you tried changing just one field and seeing if the change was applied

In the confirmation menu, I have this display name:

did you get the windows version? If so, you just have to open it and it should open a GUI
there you just have to select a version and hit compile
It should have portable git bundled by default
it downloads both maven and git if you don't have it, only thing necessary is probably a valid JDK installation

it downloaded everything just fine, but it got stuck at some other portion -- to which someeone told me to make sure i had git (which i already had and i already stated)
if you do have one, it might ask you to set the user.name and user.email for the applyPatches.sh, which is probably what happened

it didnt say that in the error code but it applyPatches.sh is what had the issue
you don't have to have it installed as it automatically should download portable git if not found, but if you do have it then it'll use that installation and that doesn't come configured with an user, so it fails when applyPatches

since applyPatches just applies the git patches, it needs a commit author
that should be stated under the corresponding error code then... it was a prretty common problem i found with no easily accessiblee resources
i sifted through some things and other people just said to use w/o gui and it worked likee they said

by the looks of it all it does is check if a block's neighbours are also water/lava
shake my head uh, why did they even called that "fast-drain" while all it does is checking for neighbours water or lava
I think the links talks about fast-drain with seriousness. I have read it as stopping the lava or water flows if its neighbours are lava or water block. Can you give me some confirmations?

If i'm understanding this code right, this just sets the block to air if it's neighbours are water aswell, isntead of decrementing fluid level

Is gravity duping patched? My friends and I just updated our server to 1.21.5 after not playing for a while and suddenly our sand duper doesn't work anymore. If so, is there a way to block this?
What does /version say?
Regardless, it's a Paper patch. If you want to know what Paper changed on the server, rather than have us, not Paper contributors, reverse engineer the patch, you could ask the people that implemented it and get a more direct, and probably more accurate, answer
So please, when you have a question regarding a Paper-exclusive change to the server, take the one extra click it takes to move over to the Paper server and ask your question there instead
If I post a code and don't know how to read it, I could still use it to maintain my server, regardless.

Lastly, my question is about the code. I did not ask someone to reverse engineer the patch or anything, this is a horrible assumption. Hello, i ran buildtools for 1.21.5 and got this file called "spigot-1.21.5.jar". I use eclipse IDE and went into the properties -> libraries and i added the external JAR file on my modulepath. I then clicked apply and closed it. Then i copy pasted some code for a simple plugin but its showing errors like import org.bukkit.command cannot be resolved. Not sure what im doing wrong. I suppose i went wrong at the external jar file part. Can someone guide me>

hey friends, hope this is the right place, been looking for answers on this for a while. i'm having a datapack issue with a fresh spigot server - i created a 1.21.5 jar using the build tools, ran the server once, then added the Armor Statues Datapack from curseforge. i added it into the worlds/datapacks folder, i can see the datapack is enabled via the datapack list command, and i have access to crafting some of the unique items from it, but whenever i try to use one of the options, i get an Unknown scoreboard objective 'as_trigger' error. i'm sure the datapack is loaded at this point and it's a fresh install of spigot with no other plugins or modifications. any ideas what could be causing this issue?

Apparently gportal only updates their spigot client once every Minecraft update. I tried replacing the server .jar with a freshly built one and they roll it back immediately. Still using build 4463... Their response was 'dunno, it looks new to us.'

i have problem with spawners when i am putting iron golem or enderman its causing so lag
1.21 paper server somehow someone got ahold of a tons of netherite blocks that someone spawned in in creative and that person has been making stashes of them just around (looking at their alts inventory netherite blocks and hoppers) is there any way to find out where these stashes are

i banned their alt who had hopper in their chest and the illegal netherite blocks but like he claims to have already placed multiplestashes around the server
