If i just play with my friends normal the ram goes to max really fast so i use laggremover the command in it /lr gc to clear the ram calm. Last time we played it worked really well but it is really laggy now

hello, ive a question, does essentials have anti-player-pushing/anticollision? Or do you know some good plugin for that?
Running a small home-hosted server with Waterfall and Geyser. Getting MASSIVE spikes in upload bandwidth every 5-10 minutes (sending 500 Mbps or more) and then either fixing itself or flattening out around 100 and only stopping once I kill the Waterfall instance. According to the IPs it's usually the Bedrock players who seem to show up near the top of the bandwidth usage, but I'm not sure what could be causing these sudden spikes... Help!
(All players kicked within a few sec whenever this happens, it's been going on for a few weeks. I tried updating Waterfall but that only seemed to increase the bandwidth used while in normal operation & during the spikes. Also, I haven't updated any Bungee plugins since before this issue began. MCAntiMalware flags Floodgate with Spigot.MALWARE.Antieffects.A as usual, otherwise plugins come out clean.)

Correct, these are screenshots of the symptoms which occur when the waterfall server is active & has players connected; Geyser runs on the proxy in this case.
Based on the bulk of the upload bandwidth suddenly spiking every 5-10 minutes and usually only for IP addresses tied to Bedrock, I'm wondering if there's a correlation or not. All I know right now is that the proxy's PID starts sending massive amounts of data to the currently connected Bedrock IP addresses for some reason, and I'm only running a small handful of plugins like Via, Geyser, BTLP, and Waterfall. Really confused/lost and the server's unplayable because of it, not sure where to look for help either

I found a plugin on spigot website of a player reporting. It was a really big file for a plugin file over 70 mbs and I started to get throught it looked really weird as I have seen that lines before and it was lag lines I have seen before in the console

Сервера: purpur 1.16.5, первый хаб и второй игровой, purpur 1.18.2 - игровой. Тпс был стабильно 20, MSPT 6-15 при онлайне 10 чел.
Сейчас: 3 ядра, 12гб озу. Сервера также, но без 1.18.2 и теперь при том же онлайне тпс просидает до 12, а MSPT минимум 20, иногда до 50 скачет. нагрузка процессора 57%
Из-за чего это? Может игровой сервер использует ядро, которое уже хаб/велосити использует и из-за этого упирается? Можно ли тогда серверу указать какие ядра использовать? чтоб игроков использовал 2,3 ядро, а хабу и велосити разделить первый?

Servers: pur pur 1.16.5, the first hub and the second gaming, purpur 1.18.2 - gaming. Tps was consistently 20, MSPT 6-15 with 10 people online.
Now: 3 cores, 12GB of RAM. Servers also, but without 1.18.2 and now with the same online tps sits up to 12, and MSPT at least 20, sometimes jumps up to 50. processor load 57%
What is it about? Maybe the game server uses a core that is already used by the hub /velocity and because of this rests? Is it possible then for the server to specify which cores to use? so that players use the 2.3 core, and hub and velocity share the first one?

exactly. geyser is a tool (also available as normal spigot plugin) that lets bedrock players join regular java/spigot servers, you can use all the normal spigot plugins

is it possible to run a custom command via an .mcfunction file? eg. an mcfunction would be run as an advancement reward, and it calls a custom plugin command

nah, either way still results in an "unknown command" error, since the plugin's commands aren't loaded before the mcfunction file in the datapack
I'm trying to run a command when a specific item is crafted, essentially
if the advancement is set before the craft event is triggered, I'd be able to see if that advancement is set and then run some logic from the listener
but I doubt that would be the case
unless I could listen for the advancement itself and idrk how to do that

When trying to abandon a claim we get this issue.

First time spigot server setup. I've been trying to use BuildTools for a few weeks, keep getting error(s) regarding patching certain nonexistent files: BuildTools 163: Error patching net/minecraft/world/level/block/entity/TileEntity.java full traceback at https://www.spigotmc.org/threads/buildtools-163-error-patching-net-minecraft-world-level-block-entity-tileentity-java.631095/ . It seems relevant that there is a hash mismatch in the Minecraft jar. Some files do get patched successfully, however. Am I missing a step-zero to place Minecraft server source under /opt before BuildTools run?

if you set it to link staff ranks cross server you can use context to set where a permission/group would apply

the source of this weird behaviour could be anywhere from a plugin interfering in chat to your server being setup incorrectly. i reccomend you try to remove plugins until the issue is gone. if it still persists with only the affected plugin, try it again with just a clean spigot installation and the affected plugin. if it still persists, contact luckperms support/open an issue (or however they deal with bug reports)

The server will regenerate the light and heightmaps immediately after the error and thats it
Its not something Mojang supports. but it works perfectly fine. Decreasing the height later works too - just of course everything outside the world height will be cut off and gone forever. But the game handles both well

Different minigames can involve different gameplay, which in turn, can neccessitate different moderation tools and whatnot.
Generally though, for custom minigames:
- Internal warnings broadcasted from said minigames every time a suspicious state is reached (i.e. suspicion a player did something impossible)
- If they involve pvp, the typical stuff to help with pvp moderation (anticheat warnings, report systems, etc)
- Tools for players to communicate with staff (again, depends on a load of things, but usually ranges from a report system to a ticket system)
- Some way for staff to observe players to ensure they are following the rules (often vanish + tp tools + list of suspicious players + a way to join an instance without appearing online).
- Some way for staff to communicate with each other
- Some way for staff to log actions taken, record hidden information about players, claim investigations, etc.
- Tools to control chat.
- Tools for managing accounts (stuff like vpn mitigation)
- Possibly some sort of events system to promote staff-community engagement
But, beyond the general basic stuff, a good rule of thumb is just whatever tools your staff team think would make their job easier.
For smaller or relatively calm servers, not all of the above will be necessary. For larger or disorderly servers, many more tools will likely be needed.

I am having trouble installing 1.18.2 spigot. It is just trying to run with java 21 instead of java 17.
Use the path to the java 17 exe instead of just java in the command

hey, i got the problem that my server in the 1.16.5 wont start with my start.sh script. i have moved all the files from a windows machine over filezilla to linux and deployed the right chmod permissions. but it wont start. my start.sh looks like this:
