So I'm reviving a server of mine from years ago, and have successfully updated almost all aspects of it, but I'm stuck on one final thing. I'm using Multiverse-Core, and on first login since the upgrade, users are always spawned in the default world at their last coordinates, rather than the world they were in.

I've tracked it down to the playerdata being changed from SpawnWorld: worldname to Dimension: minecraft:worldname.

Is there a way to migrate the data of all players to use the new structure, so I don't have survival players loading into my lobby world at wildly random coordinates? (eg. 50715,69,3716)

for redundancy I recommand a csi and nfs of your choice. Otherwise ranchers local path provisioner is fine but you will need a fitting backup plan

these are the current steps it takes:

1. pull java docker image
2. download server files from github repo
   (usually around 20-30s to do that)
3. start server
   (the rest of the time)

I found it was one of my datapacks, most likely the wandering trader microblocks. So I removed it, and deleted the player head blocks in singleplayer. Do it in creative so it doesn't go into your inventory as that was kicking me too. Delete any from your chests too

For the hub based world any suggestions on what I would need plugin wise? I tested it with timeout-time of 10 min. It worked. It took 5 min for saving the overworld. No one ever joined the server. Does anyone has an idea why it takes that long to save? Is it possible that java does not use the resources the system has?

If you have a huge one-time event that you can monitor, only if it does really not work on a single server(or maybe folia server), you can use MultiPaper

There are some bugs but it's still great software

What is for sure is that you may only use sharding or LB if you really gotta have like 500+ players on one server

might be a problem with how you uploaded the pack. For example, if you uploaded something like this as your resource pack:

outer folder/

    assets/...

as opposed to

  assets/...
  pack.mcmeta

then it'll look at outer folder, see that its only contents are just resource pack with no pack.mcmeta in sight, and give that error in response

Hey, im having this issue with that i added "ServerTutorialPlus" plugin to my server, enabled the option where at some point in the tutorial the player are unable to move, i deleted the plugin out of fustration because it didnt work, and i think that have bitten me hard in the ass. i dont know what to do, i can jump forward but i cant walk normally, and thats important for what the server it intended to be used for. there is to much work done for it to be worth to restart, here is an attachemt to the issue:

I'm having problems updating server resource packs. When I change something and then join on the server, I get an error saying "the server's resource package could not be applied." But if I then disconnect and join again it works. Apparently it is due to the existing server resource pack file from the client which has the same file name.
