Don't run multiple servers on the same port. If you're not seeing another sever running restart your pc or kill java with taskmanager (if you're on Windows)

hey! I have an issue with floating text. Whenever I summon an armor stand with floating text, it doesn't appear. Yet, if i make a world and try it there it works fine. (command: /summon ArmorStand ~ ~-2 ~ {Invisible:1b, Invulnerable:1b, NoGravity:1b, CustomName:"<Text>", CustomNameVisible:1}
I can't see the text, if i go into spectator mode i can see the armor stand. But not the text.

Hi everybody, since some days i have a G-Portal MC spigot server. I am using some plugins on it and without any player online it still uses 5GB Ram. In my screenshot you can see the complete list of plugins. Is this RAM usage normal with just these few plugins on it?

Hi! I just finished setting up my spigot server for 1.19.2. I've run it and joined it via minecraft successfully. After a bit of searching, I managed to find the main server directory, which contains world, util, server, sounds, etc, but there's no plugins folder to be found anywhere

There is no server directory in it, it's still just a folder with the spigot jar and nothing else in it

because you are most likely gonna be in $HOME

So, a while ago we were using this plugin that would log all ips that everyone joined with. So you could do /alts 'name' and it would show all accounts that connected to every ip that first account connected to. So for example if account 'Softh' connected using ip '127' and ip '120', /alt Softh would show every account that had connected using those ips. Does anyone know the name of a plugin that does this in 1.18.2?

Hi everyone, is there a way to bypass "You are already connected to this Server" in BangeeCord?
I'm trying to force "/server lobby" even though the player is already connected to it, I'm doing that to fake player leave/join events without having to kick the player off the server.
Wouldn't it be more simple if you just simply used LuckPerms meta prefixes?
You wouldn't have to list all the group formats in the essentials chat config and instead you could just use {DISPLAYNAME} for everything. /luckperms group <name> meta setprefix "&L(RANK)&r " and etc.

spigot isn't magic iirc so it has no way of determining what a plugins original state was
well if you don't have the plugin installed best option is to use a normal /kill command to kill the entity
just kill entities in a super small radius around yourself and they should be gone

if it does my guess is it was missbehaving and wrote somewhere it shouldn't have I have no clue why it would still persist it may have overwritten entity behavior itself which would not be possible to revert without a plugin specifically for patching this issue

I have never encountered bugs with it except when other plugins expect mobs to not be stacked.
I just disable mob stacking because I am using levelled mobs.

Use nerf spawner mobs, limit their access to players (avoid silk spawners), etc
Stacking spawner mobs is a good way to reduce lag from farms

I have an issue with my server. I download a core plugin that has a chat format that I want to use. But when I set it to true in the config, in game double messages show. The only chat plugins I have are essentialsx and essentialxchat. I removed both of them and yet the chat messages are still duping per person. Is there anyway to disable that chat somehow?

Some of the players on our server is complaining that enchantments aren't working properly. Like you can enchant tools, but they don't work in combat. Is it possible some plugins can interfere with that?
I have checked, and the one in particular that seems to have issues is Sweeping Edge. Doesn't work at all, but when I try Knockback it works. Players have also said weapons are overall weak.

Gportal is frustrating. Friend has a MC server on nitrato, 44 plug-ins with 4GB Ram and 20 slots. On his server I switch the world with multiverse in 1 second with 5 players on it. On my gportal server I have 10 plugins, 4GB ram (5in use!), 1 player on it (just me!) and it takes 10 second for switching a world.
The performance of gportal is so awful in comparison with nitrado. This can’t be normal.
Could someone explain how this works? Whenever we switch from a modded server jar (spigot/paper) to vanilla, it resets all chunks.
When we switch it back to modded, all the chunks regenerate like it was before

I have an issue with a plugin called AuthMe on my server. Whenever a player reconnects twice without doing the /login they are sent back to spawn. I think this happens because AuthMe just pulls the coords from the player.dat. Could someone point me into the right direction of how I can fix this issue?

Not trying to dissuade you from using voting sites, but you do realize that they are pretty much useless nowadays right? I'm not sure if you're trying to use them to sustain server growth, but there are far better methods to grow your playerbase. It seems that they are really just used for the voting rewards since it's easy enough to work with, but if you wanted players to see your server on the list, you would need to pay for top spots anyways. Especially on the most recognizable server lists.

Well, the best way nowadays is to make videos about your server. Youtubers help, but their following pretty much leave when they do. However, community member made videos help build a sustainable playerbase.
