Upgrading my PC

Back in 2018 i bought the spec below, to be fair the PC has been good to me, ive only done a few upgrades
2 additional SATA SSDs
RX6600 Graphics Card
and more RAM (up to 32gb now)

And whilst it isnt on its last legs I feel that an upgrade is due, unsure weather to buy components to upgrade this, or to just go for a complete new machine. I dont tend to play brand new, resource hungry AAA games, but I do record in OBS and use davinci resolve the edit and upload to YT, it does seem to struggle with slowness there.

Anyway, i did have a quote that was out on the forums for about £2000, but that quote has gone and the forums are no more so wanted to refresh the advice. Looking for a decent, fairly future proof gaming machine using an AMD graphics card, min 32gb RAM (not sure if 64GB would benefit what i do) at around 2k in price

Yeah you could move over the hard drive and the M.2 but the rest would need replacing - its done well lasting thsi long though 🙂

Depedning on whn you were looking at your spec on the forums, you may find prices have gone up rather a lot - RAM prices have sky-rocketed world-wide and everything else is probably going that way too 🙁

its been some time, I've take another look, how does this look? mainly gaming, recording videos on OBS/Resolve. How good is this graphics card and the RAM< i mean the RAM has to be a lot better than the DDR4 I have no... right?, anything you would change/question? More than my original budget but that is a sign of the times i guess, should I maybe try to squeeze 64gb RAM or is that wasted ?

savings from the ram could then get you a 9800x3d/9850x3d

And even if you want to stick with the Corsair RAM, NEVER go for just a single stick of RAM. Always go for two sticks

if you are looking at the asus 9070xt you may as well get the gigabyte 5070 ti

i was under the inpression that AMD cards were better than Nvidia at the moment

although 9070 XT Gaming puts the system at £2667, whre as a 5070ti is £2891, is the 5070ti worth that £224 more
