Thanks for creating a spec thread!

Please be sure to include answers to the following questions so people can assist you quicker.

  • What is the purpose of your PC/laptop? (e.g. gaming, general work, 3D rendering)
  • What monitor resolution will you be using? (e.g. 1080p, 1440p, 4k)
  • What is your budget including currency symbol? (e.g. £2,000, 1000€)
  • Is this budget just for the PC or do you need peripherals as well? (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard etc.)
  • Which country are you purchasing from? (Note that we only operate in the UK and Europe)
  • Any brand preferences?

Also please dont use all caps, I'm surprised the BOT didnt complain (said BOT must be asleep) - its awful to read when its all caps

You will only get those FPS with a 5090 and frame-gen enabled.

marsh cedar
#

If you dont answer the BOT's questions we cant really sensibly help anyway - unless you want us to assume a £10,000 budget 🙂

buget it $2000 and i need it for gaming 1080 and i have a 1440p

marsh cedar
#

Country (since you state the budget in doillars)?

umbral dome
#

pounds

#

i coundnt fine pounds on my kbm

marsh cedar
#

And whats the refresh rate on your monitors - no point in getting something that will do 300fps if the monitor only goes to 60 for a start

umbral dome
#

i got 240hz that can over clock to 270

#

my 1440p is 165hz can really overclock

leaden hinge
#

Overclocking the monitor...??

umbral dome
#

oh okay

halcyon ice
# umbral dome oh okay

#762988481634369556 message to answer your question, 12GB VRAM should be the absolute minimum if you're planning for high 1440p

#

so a 7700XT/5070 or above

umbral dome
#

whats shoul i get

#

i need a card thst can do 4k

halcyon ice
#

if you want the best value a 7800XT/9070 would be a great card, I just need to read through your post so give me a few minutes as I am doing something

marsh cedar
#

You will not get a 4k card for that budget

umbral dome
#

oh okay

#

is the 5080 good

you'd have to up your budget to circa 2.1k get the 5070ti which has 16GB VRAM if you wanted to go team green

umbral dome
#

Is the 5070ti alot better than 5060ti

halcyon ice
#

definitely

umbral dome
#

how much is it

halcyon ice
#

a bit less but if you're wanting 4k you'll want the 5070ti

umbral dome
#

i want 4k i jusy want a card that can do everything but thats kinda buget

halcyon ice
#

ideally if you can raise it to 2.1k you'll be getting a killer system without skimping on the GPU

umbral dome
#

i can deff do that

#

so ik fn isnt 4k but what kinda fps are we gettin perfome 1080

undone gale
#

tbh anything above 9070/5070 is overkill for 1080p

halcyon ice
#

5070ti you're looking at around 120+ on ultra but yeah as luna said

#

5070ti is very overkill for 1080p

#

unfortunately they are yet to add the 5060ti to that list but it gives a general idea of how well itll perform

undone gale
#

5060ti is very close to 4070

marsh cedar
halcyon ice
#

if you're wanting to get as close to your budget though, the 9070XT offers the same performance, maybe like 2-3% less for £100 less so you'd get to your 2k budget

#

Nvidia will be better for ray tracing and frame gen

#

best price to performance will be the 9070XT but if you're looking for the fancy extra features then the 5070ti will be a good card, just it takes your budget to £2.1k

undone gale
#

9070xt you also dont have to deal with the issues that nvidia is having with drivers atm

umbral dome
#

what cpu would i get

placid mica
#

It's in the spec listed above

umbral dome
#

i need a pre built

building it yourself isnt the issue, i made a post for a gaming pc and luna helped me with that, i done bits of research on stuff luna built for me and priced it else where and by the time you buy everything separate from different places you will no doubt be looking at more than the 2008 or 2.1k thats been recommended, i looked at buying parts separate as i know someone who can build the pc for me but again trying to match the price is very difficult

placid mica
#

The whole idea of these threads is for help speccing a system to purchase from PCS. It's not to get someone to take the time and effort to build a config suitable for your budget and usage and then swan off elsewhere to buy components

i gotta buy before next month

halcyon ice
#

if you want a remotely decent PC youll want minimum £1500

#

this is pretty much the lowest spec you could go until you really start to skimp on parts

#

or you change the 5070 for a 4060 and you get to the £1200 mark

placid mica
#

Dunno why anyone is wasting time speccing something. Op said they want to build themselves

@umbral dome why are you wasting people's time? You've made it clear you are buying parts and building yourself and that is not something pcs offer
