What build would u recommend?
For the 13/14 gen issues microcode updates have been released now
did it fix them fully
If you don't have an already borked CPU then yeah, it's stopped the CPU's from committing Harakiri
So for new machines yes
what about the core ultra cpus
This question is probably better suited to the #762988481634369556 channel rather than someone elses thread
Oh my bad
To the original question:
Generally, I think it would be a solid build, but I have some suggestions (not a pro, so take it with a grain of salt)
I have seen, that you did not include a windows license in your build, so I also didn't include one
- Windows normally works best on a separate ssd, so think about having two. A small, fast one for windows and a bigger one for the rest.
- Perhaps think about a AMD GPU. They are normally a bit better in the same price range. Like the RX 7700 XT or similar (but not for RayTracing, Video Production, Streaming and similar. There Nvidia has some really nice features)
- Upgrade to silver warranty. It costs nearly nothing
- For FullHD Gaming 16GB Ram could be enough, instead of 32. But it depends what else you would do with this machine
- I personally prefer AMD CPU for gaming, so you can think about it.
So all in all, this is what I came up with, but I recommend a second opinion.

It has the better GPU, but a bit less RAM and a still good CPU, 2 SSD

ah and if you can scrap up a bit more money, think about upgrading the power to a RMx (way easier to upgrade later, because you have to connect the cables into the power supply)
Yh I’m going to be installing my own windows license
All I’m going to be using the pc for is games so 16gb ram should be enough?
Yh I can go over my budget if it helps me for any future upgrades
I’ll wait and maybe see different opinions and see if there are similar builds that can be made if anyone has any suggestion on a build please let me know
Well, one can never garanty what the future brings, so it is possible that 32 GB Ram will become essential. But RAM are really easy to update, and for the start 16 GB should yield a good performance.
on DDR4, 16GB is the "standard" DDR5 32GB is the "standard" it would be better to bump it up, as even just idle, on my PC windows hogs 9GB, with 16, that leaves 7, which desn't go very far
Linux really needs to get better with gaming application (9GB for idle windows....), but thank you for the correction DrLeft
