Hi, I'm looking to buy a new gaming desktop, hopefully for around £1,500 including VAT but I could go up to £2,000 if it will make a big difference.

Games I play are things like Sims 4, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Cities: Skylines and modded Skyrim.

I haven't bought a monitor yet so I don't have any preferences on that.

From what I've read, AMD is a bit better for gaming at the moment so I'd like to go with that.

My only other preference is that the desktop case is white and as small as practically possible so I can place it on my desk rather than underneath.

Any spec suggestions would be really helpful - it's a bit overwhelming going through the options myself and I keep coming up with prices over double my budget so I need to be reigned in 😛

ah, I just read you want it white, there are white options too

Thanks very much, that 'flashy' one looks particularly good and worth pushing the boat out for! It looks like the case you picked has a white version too, so perfect.

if you want a fully white build, you will need to pay more, as in white/silver motherboard etc

#

the additional fans aren't required, so can be dropped, but they do help feed cold air to the GPU so I would recommend them

#

that said, the first flashy build, with black parts can look very good too with the contrast

Good shout. I can still amend the order; would the Corsair QX120s be as effective? It looks like they're £2 cheaper for 3 despite being RGB so not sure.

well the be quiet have very high airflow, while being whisper quiet, as they will be under the GPU, they will be forcefeeding the GPU cool air.

the link fans are fine, but the issue is iCue, that program is a bad as it gets, same story with the AF120's

what you can do, and I'd recommend you do, is drop those fans entirely, and get a larger motherboard for more expansion options, that being storage drives, PCIe devices etc.

you can always add fans yourself alter
