hz is used for the monitor, do you mean FPS?
if so, is there a target quality? as you may need to cut corners graphically and in the components as well to fit that requirements on that budget
120fps yes
Tbh I'm happy at 1080p if my frames are good
War Thunder is my main thing and I don't think it's too graphically intense
I am a little busy at work, but will try and spec something ASAP, any brand preferances?
War Thunder is quite the hog, settings dependant
I heard AMD is more cost efficient
I play it on PS5 so as long as it looks better and is smoother I'm happy
AMD is very much best price/performance factoring usability, Intel is better, but intel is still dealing with growing pains so to speak
I also heard they heat up like crazy
not really
I mean for games Ryzen sounds just fine
Oh
AMD did have some heat problems in the past, but they are no worse for that than Nvidia now
the min reuqirements and the recommended are very different creatures
Eh as long as it's more powerful than my ps5
it will run on that dual core, but it will run like I do after pigging out at the all you can eat buffet:
barely and messy as hell
Or like I run in general
If only the 4090 didn't cost a kidney
the 4060s are pretty bad for 1440p, unless you don't mind it looking like it's on an Commodore
Do check to make sure youre eligible for it 🙂 I know we've had a few who have planned on it then suddenly found they're not eligible - normally foiled by either age or working hours
How do I check without paying
https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/finance/ this page shows you the first eligibilty criteria, if you are eligible then it will depend on your credit rating
Wide selection of laptop finance and gaming PC finance options available to help you pay monthly for your new computer with minimal deposit required. See here the finance options.
There are various sites to check your ratings out but I dont know what scores the finance company require
I'm eligible
My bank provides my score for me 🙂
So do I need a board which comes with WiFi?
I don't get this stuff
Do you have your router in the same room as you're planning to have the PC?
Or do you have the possibility to run an ethernet cable?
If not then you want either a mobo with WiFi or a separate WiFi card
Ethernet is preferable though where possible
do you need wifi included? even so, it's handy to have built in incase you living situation changes where you can't use ethernet
Well I have an Ethernet cable in my room
WiFi hardware also gives you bluetooth. Something to keep in mind
Okay deff need it then
Headset is bluetooth
Womp womp
it connects via USB no?
the PC will be ready to go, excluding various updates
Which parts?
Pretty much plug'n'play
you'll need to update windows, driver and whatnot, but it will be ready out of the box
Windows will be installed
I'll just look that stuff up then that's fine
Deff need to invest in a monitor too
Think my current 31inch will blind me
how much above 1500GBP can you go? as that would change what sort of system you can get, I'd prefer an AM5 system, just for the upgrade options down the line, but you may need to go for AM4 to fit the budget, but that would limit RAM and CPU upgrades down the line

that spec does burst the budget some, but will be a solid PC for sure
Here's an AM4 system, same GPU, better storage, but as the CPU is from the last AMD CPU generation, it won't be as fast(not as important for 1440p), and will limit upgrades because of it

No that's fine. I can go up to £1700 - 2000. No higher than that tho 🙂
Thank you tho
2 grand you say? Now we're talking
What would it get me
Something vv good
Is 32gb ram ideal?
I'm not good at speccing other people's PCs but I'm sure someone can
And yeah 32 is aight
For gaming yes
I just want to have discord and game open 🙂
7 incognito tabs xD
how hard is that 2k limit? because if you can go to 2010, then you can get a serious beast with a 7900XT and a 7800X3D, if you can't then dropping the RAM speed a little won't be the end of the world to make it fit the budget
wait, nvm, the cooler would need to be upped for the CPU

7800X3D, 7900GRE, best gaming CPU, and a strong GPU, hard to go wrong there

you can also take some of the spare budget, get a bigger case and CPU cooler, but you wouldn't need to
