I'm not at my PC right now, but I can see a few changes you could make

rough mesa
#

what

#

are they

dire cloud
#

Change the ram to 2x16gb

#

Drop the mx4 paste

#

Change the 1tb drive to a 512gb model with 7000 mb read

rough mesa
#

done

#

thanks! very helpful

dire cloud
#

I doubt that you need more fans, the case already comes with 4

rough mesa
#

oh ok

#

so i remove them?

dire cloud
#

Yeah they probably won't benefit you much if at all

rough mesa
#

ok

#

done

dire cloud
#

Get the silver warranty, the peace of mind is worth the few quid

rough mesa
#

done!

dire cloud
#

It seems the 4060 costs the same as the 3060

#

On mobile so I can't be sure

rough mesa
#

the 4060 cost £3 more is it worth it?

#

is the 8GB 4060 better than the 12GB 3060

dire cloud
#

It's newer, and is overall a bit better so I'd say yes

rough mesa
#

ok done!

dire cloud
#

If you'd consider an AMD GPU, the 7600or 7600xt are solid choices

rough mesa
#

which is better

dire cloud
#

XT has more vram, but I'm not sure if it's much better for 1080p gaming

rough mesa
#

i meant geforce or AMD

dire cloud
#

AMD is best price/performance

rough mesa
#

ok

#

done the 7600XT

#

anything else?

dire cloud
#

Can I get an updated link?

rough mesa
#

ye

#

with my current laptop i cant even run minecraft on the lowest settings without a performance mod

dire cloud
#

I'd say good to go, I'd personally ditch the extra rainbow vomit, but that's personal bias speaking

rough mesa
#

i forgot to remove them XD

dire cloud
#

I'd get the support just in case, maybe using open RGB to signal GPU temperature

rough mesa
#

i currently have 8GB Ram, AMD Radeon Vega 8 & AMD Ryzen 5 3500U

dire cloud
#

GPU sag is a slow killer, and the RGB can be made functional

rough mesa
#

how to use open rgb thingy

dire cloud
#

Wouldn't do to accidentally kill a PC over a few quid for a GPU support

rough mesa
#

i have the support braket

#

but not rgb open

dire cloud
rough mesa
#

how?

dire cloud
#

Open RGB is a program to control the RGB, gigabyte fusion sucks Golfballs through a garden hose, it's that bad

rough mesa
#

ok readded rgb gpu braket

#

should i do a rgb cpu cooler if that can check the heat

#

my current laptop sounds like it screaming with a cracking voice when i turn it on ngl

dire cloud
#

Nah, the one you picked is an awesome one

rough mesa
#

ok good

dire cloud
#

Overkill really but better too much than too little

rough mesa
#

i use 32 bit windows 11 but can i change to 62 bit with this pc spec because my windows license is connected to my account

dire cloud
#

The licence should transfer assuming it's not a hardware bound licence

#

Was the laptop pcs?

rough mesa
#

no it was avita

#

would that transfer?

dire cloud
#

No clue, you can still buy one afterwards at least if it doesn't

rough mesa
#

how much is that

#

because im getting another of the same pc for someone else; but we both got the same avita laptop

dire cloud
#

About 120 or so

rough mesa
#

oh damn ok thats a possibility

#

how to check if hardware bound license

#

(windows 11)

rough mesa
dire cloud
#

still got the ARGB light strips in there, if you wanted to take those out

#

as to check if the windows licence is hardware locked, a ticket with microsoft support should be the best way to know for usre

rough mesa
#

ok 🙂

#

is windows 10 better than 11?

fresh venture
#

Windows 10 is end of life
Support will end next year

rough mesa
#

oh

#

ok ill go with 64 bit 11 if i cant switch my linked windows license from my current laptop

#

i think windows 11 is really ugly though

#

they used way to many curved edges
