Hi , im actually thinking about building up a new pc for my new job role as junior penetration Tester and to go through differents certifications.
Ill buy it from Italy and my budget is 2k€ +.
Tbh i have already checked for some build but id like to know your suggestions about it.
Surely ill go for an AMD processor (7900/7950) and (32GB minimum , maybe 64) , since ill use my pc for multiple virtualization.

If it’s for virtualisation you prob want high core cpu and plenty of ram. You can get a very low spec GPU or even just use on board graphics.
14700, 14900 would be good options on Intel side. And 7900/7950 for AMD like you said.
In some test we go for bruteforcing test , hash indentifiation and info gathering . These 3 things works on GPU. Im thinking about going for a 4060 One , but still doubtful
Can anyone explain me the differences between GIGABYTE X670 AORUS ELITE AX (AM5, DDR5 , PCle 4.0 ,Wi-FI 6E) and ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO (AM5, DDR5 , PCle 5.0 , WI-FI 6E)?
Actually the secondo one is not recommended for my setup and they suggest me the first one. Ty
main difference is brand
so 1st one is still valid?
both very valid, however the rog crosshair has a pcie 5.0 gen slot which is better than the 4.0 slots on the gigabyte
No becouse im actually spending a lot for a work pc, so im looking for the best setup
looks is are different on them too
yeah but its not recommended for DDR5 CROSSAIR ram
I believe the rog crosshair has more usb's and stuff on the rear io too
most cases gen 5 is better if you want to future proof your pc, better faster slots capable of handling more power is usually better if you want the best setup
problem is i should change my DDR5 crosshair ram
maybe i can go for gen 4 and change it in future. I think with GIGABYTE maybe its already enough

im too confused
depends on what ram you're going with then, in todays world you don't NEED the top spec ram
either board will still be able to to get the 32GB-64GB you're hoping to get
DDR5 CROSSHAIR 2X 32GB RAM ROG 6000GHZ
Vengeance
you'd be fine with either board then
in this sense think of ports on the back of the pc more than anything
that's actually my build if it can help :
-CPU AMD Ryzen9 7950X3D 16 Core
-GIGABYTE X670 AORUS ELITE AX (AM5, DDR5 , PCle 4.0 , WI-FI 6E)
-DDR5 Corsair VENGEANCE RGB 6000 MHz 64 GB (2x32)
-NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB
-2x SAMSUNG EVO 990 M.2 1TB
-CORSAIR 850W RMx SERIES gold
-DISSIPATOR CPU CORSAIR iCUE H115i ELITE CAPELLIX RGB (270w)
-3 EXTRA CASE 120mm PCS
-CASE ICUE CORSAIR 5000X RGB MID TOWER ATX
if you have any suggestion is well appreciated
just think i use computer for working 12hr a day everyday
change the 115 to a 150, tis a better cooler or a h100 if you're set on 2 fanned liquid cooler in my opinion
I opted for the 115i only becouse i choiced the 3 extra case
so i should not have problems
im building this to multi virtualization , i think its good enough overall
