Buy a console, you’d get a far greater gaming experience than on this PC.

#

I’m guessing the spec above is around £600. That’s console budget, not a gaming pc budget. So either change plans or keep saving would be my advice.

It's barely better than an office PC

rough storm

The other option for gpu is a 4gb 1659

earnest oyster

You'd be better off looking at second hand market with a budget of £600. It won't buy you much in terms of a brand new PC

How come?

rough storm
earnest oyster
#

Well you've be wasting your money buying the spec above

#

I understand you're not looking to play the latest game titles

As B4zookaw said 600 is just not enough (by a fair amount) to get anything useful in PC terms 😦

rough storm

#

Unfortunately PC component prices have just sky-rocketed over the last 5 years or so, and no we cannot help with self-builds

earnest oyster
#

Wouldn't work out much cheaper to build yourself

inner turret
#

That too

earnest oyster
#

I appreciate not everyone has the same budget I might have when it comes to purchases, but I also know when it's a case of throwing good money after bad money and this would be an example.

#

You'll spend more in the long run replacing this PC than saving a while longer and getting something appropriate.

#

And I certainly wouldn't be financing it

rough storm
earnest oyster
#

If you need to borrow for the most basic of pc's, you're probably not able to afford it, even on credit

earnest oyster
#

You are if you're getting something on finance

rough storm
#

It’s on finance as i get payed weekly that why I’m on finance

earnest oyster
#

Yeah, but you're paying back money you've borrowed to buy the system, don't lose sight of that

inner turret
#

Unless you can pay it all off within the first year it will end up costing a lot more than 600 anyways if you use the finance option (that's how these finance companies make money)

earnest oyster
#

I'm older and wiser than you, so all I'm doing is giving my advice which is 1) This PC is not worth purchasing and 2) getting this PC on finance might be a stretch for you financially. So wait and save the money to get something appropriate for your needs.
Your choice to heed my advice, or not, that's your decision ultimately.

rough storm
#

Ok

earnest oyster
#

And to Rakk's point about costing more, the calculator shows that if you pay it over 5 years, the total cost is £1,086.76

rough storm
#

So the simeler price to a bike

earnest oyster
#

Long time since I've been buying a bike, so take your word for it! 😂

It’s actually worse

rough storm
earnest oyster

Cpu is weaker, and since you’ll be gaming at low 1080, there’s a lot of load on cpu, so it will perform worse than the 6 core you had previously

I said last night you are better up saving £1200-£1500 for a decent gaming rig.

Then if you decide to finance you use that 12 months to build up another buffer and pay your pc off without extra but also have some savings.

As I did for my pc. I had the money saved and could pay it in one go but I toom a 12 month payment break to build up some extra savings and paid it off before the payments kicked in and still had 3k saved up for after so I didnt bankrupt myself.

rough storm

You know how long saving up 1200 will be with people constantly stealing my money

And will continue for awhile

That’s why I’m trying to find that cheapest but best option i can

Stealing is a strong word though unless she’s actively stealing which then is a criminal matter. Should seek advice 🙂

Jokes aside, I only got my PC recently and I'm 21 soon. It costs money and sometimes you just have to wait for the right moment. Before that I had a gaming laptop and it was decent so I would maybe recommend @rough storm get a gaming laptop for €700 and it'll do him for the next 4 years and can save for that PC. Only wants a gaming rig for Minecraft and it'll run smooth with a GTX1650 and i5-11300H but do not expect to play any game post 2018
