Thanks for creating a spec thread!

Please be sure to include answers to the following questions so people can assist you quicker.

  • What is the purpose of your PC/laptop? (e.g. gaming, general work, 3D rendering)
  • What monitor resolution will you be using? (e.g. 1080p, 1440p, 4k)
  • What is your budget including currency symbol? (e.g. £2,000, 1000€)
  • Which country are you purchasing from? (Note that we only operate in the UK and Europe)
  • Any brand preferences?

Purchasing from UK. Not sure what monitor yet, atleast 1440p, max 2k. Budget is £900. Use it for gaming and light school work.

No need to tag (people will see your replies when they are not otherwise busy), and you didnt answer my question about whether you need it to be a mini-PC or not

1440p is 2k
And with that GPU you won't be playing games at that resolution...at least not modern games

What gpu would u reccomend? I would like a cheap yet effective for gaming gpu.

For your budget, the fact that you need a SFF PC and that you want to play @ 1440p resolution, none

#

You will either have to increase your budget or adjust expectations

Your best options for gaming at 1080p would be the 4060 or the 7600. They will also support gaming at 1440p but on medium settings rather than high/ultra. However that would blow your £900 budget. If you are happy gaming solely at 1080p then I would suggest the 6600, but again this surpasses your budget by £100.

This really is the minimum spec I'd want to recommend for doing any kind of gaming these days. 8GB RAM really isn't sufficient, nor is a 256gb storage drive. You could get it cheaper by going full size rather than small form factor as you pay a premium for the smaller size.
