Afraid you cant post links til youve levelled up a bit- its an anti-spam measure
This was the link though:

One tiny change, for the second M.2 it doesn't need to be as fast, so I changed it to a higher capacity, slower one, it does cost a few quid more though

looking at the cooler though, I am a little concerned it won't fit on top, so will need to be on the front, leaving not enough room for all 4 link fans to be added
sorry for posting the links. on the corsair website they have the 4000d case with a picture of 3 RGB at front, 2 cooler RGB on top and one RGB at the back. This is what I'm trying to achieve
No need to apologise for posting PCS links
It is just that you cannot send any links here yet until you level up a bit more
drop down to the h100 link cooler to be sure, that should fit, the H115 us a 280mm AIO
If you click the ? next to the coolers on the website it will give you a visual of them so you can choose the one you're after.
ok thanks. will that enough to cool an overclocked i5 14600K?
the CPU won't be overclocked out of the box,
overclcoking the CPU voids the PCS warranty, and it's not like overclocking will benefit you much. CPUs built in boost functions already ush the CPU to it's safe limits
the cooler should be just fine for the CPU in question though
ok got it. is the i5 14600K a better option than a ryzen build with the ryzen 7 7800x3d chip, or is the ryzen really a competitor to the i7 14700K?
depends on use, for gaming the 7800X3D is best by far
also, it's not as hot as some of the 14th gen intel chips are
if you however need the extra cores the intel chips offer, then intel is the better CPU. but it it's pretty much just gaming, discord, and some light streaming, the 7800X3D is definitely better

it's your build, but AMD, and slightly faster RAM, it's cheaper while it's at it too

I'm trying to add compatible QX fans to this build but the validator is saying that I have too many fans. I'm hoping that the CPU coolder can be mounted on top of case as case seems to support this and then add the 4 RGB fans, 3 at front and one at rear? Also I don't see an option to get either iCue link CPU cooler or fans without hub, so I'll end up with a redundant hub?
This is what I have so far. I was trying to add 4 X CORSAIR ICUE LINK QX120 RGB KIT

ah right, this happens because of the 2 fans already in there, they will need to do a manual override, you'll need to email, or call PCS asking them to add the 4 link fans, they can then charge you as needed, they'll be able to sort you out
sorry to ping you @spring garden did I miss anything?
as to the extra hub, who knows, you might want to add more than a single hub can handle later, so I'd roll with it
Sorry.. saw this last night but wasn't around to answer comprehensively. @summer bolt without a link to look at the build you've put together, I can't fully visualise the problem you're having. Might be best to get in contact with #📞support to run through what you're trying to achieve 🙂
he wants to add 4 link fans, but can't because the case already comes with 2
Ok, in which case yeah.. best to order without the extra fans then contact support to add the 4 in and override the warning.
cool, I might not need to pester you to confirm the next time this happens
Hello, this is what I'm settling on, what do you think? Is there anything obvious you'd change? I have some spare SSD's lying around so would plan to put those into case myself.
Plan would be to also get 4 X CORSAIR ICUE LINK QX120 RGB KIT and don't use the 2 fans that come with case. (3 in front and 1 in the back) - all linked to the CPU cooler with the iLink
Do the Braided Power Supply Cables (with the RMx power supply) make much of a difference? Would this also include cable for the GPU?
The cooler I have selected, that will definitely fit in top mounted? I would have preferred the H115i, but I had doubts that fitting in top, due to RAM obstruction
Thanks!

sorry for the slow reply.
regarding the braided cables, they are a cosmetic extension, so they don't do anything but make it look better(if it's your cuppa)
as for the cooler, I can't guarantee that it 100% will be on top, but it realistically should. It can however be a pain when it comes to changing RAM out in the future, as the fan likely needs to be removed first, but thats a bridge you can burn when you get there. If you want to maximize your change of the AIO being on top, go for the non-RGB RAM, as it's a lower profile
thanks, your right about the ram height, 35mm as opposed to 44mm, https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/4412253644045-DDR5-memory-module-dimensions
Just a general question in relation to the components used to build the PC. Do you provide any accessories included with the components (e.g. for the cooler, the bracket for intel CPU), all unused parts for the PC case, etc.
any unused parts that came from the components used will be included in the welcome box, so you're bound to get a rake of cables, screws, probably some stickers, a few booklets, and other odds and ends
in my case I got zip ties, stand off screws, for both motherboard and m.2's, some thermal paste, mounting bracket for what I assume is intel, sata cables, molex power cables, CPU power cable, 8 pin PCIe power cable, and a ziplock baggie of the used cable ties 😂
MoBo user manual too
what is your current stock of 4070 super Palit/Zotac branded cards? Are they the 2 or 3 fan design?
