Looking to get some opinions on what monitors I should buy to use on my upgraded setup. I've been looking at some ASUS ones, but can't quite figure out the best type to use. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Attached a photo of the built PC.

i own an ASUS vg27aq1a

#

its a pretty good 1440p 170hz ips monitor

#

27inch I'd assume?

ivory herald
#

yup

I was thinking of downgrading to 24inch on my current setup, the two 27's I have currently cover the whole desk space

ivory herald
#

24 inch 1080p?

late condor
#

Yeah, definitely. But holding a high hz rate

ivory herald
#

could prob get a 340hz

#

240*

#

or 360

late condor
#

what would you suggest under 240?

ivory herald
#

whats ur budget

late condor
#

no budget

#

so long as quality is good, and refresh rate is decent 👌

ivory herald
#

ok i found a good one

#

ivory herald
#

i found a 280hz dell monitor 24 inch for £170

#

IPS panel and gsync

#

perfect if u ask me

late condor
#

Pretty stuck with ASUS, I'll be honest. How about the ASUS VG249Q3A?

ivory herald
#

ivory herald
#

he wants a 24 inch monitor

late condor
#

teal gyro
#

ooh

ivory herald
#

ok

#

i took a look

late condor
#

Appreciate all your help 🤞

ivory herald
#

its more expensive than both i mentioned, and it isnt gsyn compatible either

#

and lower hertz

#

paying more for less

#

is it okay, yes

late condor
#

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised

ivory herald
#

but you can get better value for your money tbf

#

still a decent monitor nonetheless

late condor
#

well, lets think about £220-£250 per monitor, will need two of them for my work

#

so, if you can meet that range that's fine

ivory herald
#

24 inch yes?

late condor
#

if needed to go above 24, I don't mind

ivory herald
#

ok id recommend this MSI for 27inch

#

and Dell for 24 inch

late condor
#

the msi one actually was one of the ones I was looking at first tbh

ivory herald
#

defo a great monitor

#

great colours

#

most of my friends grabbed it on sale and are super happy with it

late condor
#

with a 27% off, it's a pretty good steal i can't lie

ivory herald
#

exactly

late condor
#

hmmmm... very stuck on ideas here

#

my current are so bad 😭, need to switch up when the pc comes

#

how about this one?

late condor
#

anyone else got any suggestions?

Atm its on sale

#

or MSI's alternative

late condor
#

only thing that puts me off is the DP cables

#

never used them

late condor
#

this should support dp cables right?

Though note, if youre ordering a Corsair cooler you do not need the extra thermal paste, Corsair include decent paste pre-applied to their coolers anyways, also I'd proabbly want a better cooler than that one youve picked for that CPU (or do you already have the PC?)

Yep 14700k at least need a 280mm, I'd chose 360mm (H150i)

What agent?

#

Are you planning to do some render stuffs too with that?

#

I have 14700k, when I use cpu for rendering in blender it goes up to 80c-90c even with 360mm.
