Additional Comment:
I'm going for corsair icue aesthetics hence the CPU cooler and the case. The RAM I was told 2x 16gb is better but I'm more than likely wont be upgrading to 64gb ever hence I wanted to go for 4x 8gb sticks (mostly for RGB aesthetics). I was also adviced something about having another storage for the OS hence I went with the 500gb ssd.

I'm thinking of buying it in a few weeks and I do understand some parts may become unavailable/sold out later on and might have to adjust, it's ok.

the OS should be on the fastest available drive, so a small M.2 and then a large storage drive should be chosen

thin skiff
#

Ahh I see, thank you, I'll change that

ember coral
#

something like the SOLIDIGM 512 shoudl do nicely for the OS drive

#

the cost should not make a huge difference if any

thin skiff
#

alright swapped it with that, yeah it's a small difference

ember coral
#

m.2 storage has gotten massively cheaper over the years

thin skiff
#

really? I'm just beginning to understand about all of this..

ember coral
#

btw, go for the plain 3070, the Asus one has basically no real benefit over the plain one for a massive premium

thin skiff
#

ok thank you!

Corsair pretties and far more performance 👀

If you wanted to go through the process you could also contact PCS and ask if they could put a 6950 in there for you (configurator doesn't allow it). That's 3090TI performance so would be a huuuge performance jump! (comes to like £2,040?)

Thats an interesting build, thank you so much!

ember coral
#

plus that build is AM5, while AM4 systems are still plenty good, AM5 will be around a long time

thin skiff
#

that is true

naive elbow
#

Jr's build has more focus on performance than bling. Given this is for work, the LCD screen on the AIO is probably an unneeded luxury

thin skiff
#

But if we're going for more bling than performance, is my build ok?

stone delta
#

Don't get me wrong, the system you've specced up would be gorgeous, would look fantastic, but it's spending a LOT on aesthetics, where I think we can get you a better balance and have it still look pretty!

thin skiff
#

I understand I'm paying like 30-40% on the bling

stone delta
#

Aside from personal grievances with the 5000T, it'd be a v bling build

thin skiff
#

Ooh do you have the 5000T?

ember coral
#

I think it's more the glass front panel, just another impedance to airflow and something fragile to boot

thin skiff
#

Isn't that the other corsair case, the 5000t has the side glass panel

#

i might be wrong idk

stone delta
# thin skiff Ooh do you have the 5000T?

No, I just strongly dislike it. It's a 5000X with some more plastic and some LED strips in it. But they've charged double the price for it (or at least they did at launch)

thin skiff
#

Ahh I see

#

Yeah the price is steep but the looks of that case is nice

stone delta
#

Would go 5000X personally, still get nice corsair fans, if airflow isn't good enough, you can buy the D Airflow front panel from Corsair and just switch it out. Saves you like £100. And is just a nicer looking case imo 😂

ember coral
#

5kD personally, but I like the 2001 monolith look

thin skiff
#

I'm sucked in with the 5000t 😂 I know it's £100 more but I really want it

ember coral
#

you can always add rainbow snot fans later too

thin skiff
#

💀

naive elbow
#

Is work paying for this, or you?

errant zealot

#Team5000T checking in 😉

naive elbow
#

Don't listen to Jem, she has blue keyboard switches

thin skiff
#

I'll be paying for this

#

Oooh B4zookaw, how does your build compare to mine

naive elbow
#

Guess you're free to spend your own money on bling items so 😉
