please give me feedback on which parts I overspend/underspend and suggest which parts I can use to replace them
looking to spend no higher than £1400
It would help if you could say what you'll be using it for 🙂
oh apologies
For gaming and school works
Mainly gaming but yeah
@quasi oxide
Im new to building PC so im sorry if the build is rlly bad
You dont need to tag people to help (especially if they are already in the thread)
I'm sure a few will be able to help, I'm not that good at speccing machines to shall leave to people more in the know
Ok thanks
You’re going very high on aesthetics which will be affecting performance, is that something you’re happy with? I reckon we can still get you a pretty build with better performance!
No not really, can the costs still go down but keeping the same performance?
Which parts can i replace etc?
Has an amazing spec then saw that there was a monitor in there, dangit 😂
@mighty hollow If you're happy to make a £30 or so stretch then this'd be a fantastic system : https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/amd-am4-gen3-pc/bS2EBkjFvN/
Higher airflow case
8 core CPU instead of 6
Better motherboard for better future upgradability (5800X3D in a few years)
6700XT which is faster than a 3060TI (which is about 25% faster than a plain 60) in terms of raw performance and has a boat load of VRAM
dedicated 250GB boot SSD then 1TB for all your games
Ample cooling from the much cheaper tower cooler
Far higher quality PSU, again good for future upgrades
Bin the anti virus
grab the silver warranty
Pick up this monitor (I have it and am very happy, it's a decent budget 1440p unit) and you're off to the races!

would an intel cpu and nvidia gpu would be a better choice in terms of performance and price or nah?
also is the wireless network card necessary?
If you want to connect wirelessly yes, if you'll be using an ethernet connection then no
I think 3060 is a far cheaper option but r they really that far apart from each other in terms of performance?
like £60 less
also its bc i dont like radeon lol, i'd prefer nvidia software
There is around a 20 frame difference between the regular 3060 and the 6700xt, i'd agree with Junior in getting the 6700xt. I also preferred Nvidia software but I am moving over to AMD software due to the frame difference shown here.
would a higher frequency ram benefit for the cpu?
like the 3600mhz
Glad it helped
Can go for 3600 if it’s a sensible step up in price. If it’s £10 or so, sure. If it’s £50 (which I noticed it was the other day) then no, I wouldn’t go for it
What's the highest GPU i can go for without bottlenecking it with a Ryzen 7 5700X?
What is your max budget?
No i mean like for future investments
the limitation of my cpu
Its about £12 for the normal vengenace 3600 and £26 for the rgb
so i might aswell
I believe the 4070ti is a good match for the Ryzen 7 5700x
that wont bottleneck?
It won't
12 is probably worth it
yep
Wouldn't call it a bottleneck, certainly wouldn't go higher than that tho
Yeah true
Whats the difference between the 750W RMe and RMx?
about 10 pound difference
RME is an updated version of the RM, so the RMx should be better
worth it or nah?
