#Is the Abyss G50 a good first pc for gaming?

What games do you intend to play on it?
its fine, you're not gonna be getting 200 FPS @ 2/4k, but you've very comfortably be able to play most games at 1080 high 100fps
it's not gonna be great for VR, not because of the GPU, but because the MoBo is very anemic as far as USB ports
load times won't be amazing as it has a HDD for the main storage, but thats easily upgraded
this might be better value https://www.pcspecialist.ie/computers-for-next-day-delivery/1383/ however the Arc GPUs are still in their infancy and have trouble with drivers, I've read most have been resolved, but it all depends on what you want to play

@blissful tide you’d likely find better value and performance from an AMD system 5600 and 6600 is a smashing combo and should come tk about the same price
Ight thanks
Things like fivem, sea of thieves stuff like that
I think @fallen pasture makes a good suggestion above if that is your budget 🙂
My max is abt 1.5k
Also thank u
If you can go up to 1.5k then you could get a lot more gaming PC for your money
Probably a 3060Ti build
Yeah it’s just that idk what parts to get, and also it’ll be my first pc
then you've come to the right place - I can have a look at a build and others can also offer suggestions to put something together for you. Is it just the PC you need or will you need a monitor, mouse and keyboard?
if you do need a monitor, what are you looking for? 1080, 2k, 4k(probably not feasible for 1500GBP), and what sort of refresh rate?
I’ll need a whole setup, I have an idea of what mouse and keyboard imma get
Just dk about monitor
cool, is the 1500eu/gbp budget including the mouse and keyboard?
So yeah, is the £1,500 budget for everything or just the PC?
Just the pc
Nope just the pc
Gbp btw

nothing great, but nothing to sniff at, the processor and GPU are straight from Master Junior, and the front USB is not compatible with any of the MoBo options, so it won't work.
the Power supply is overkill, but will allow plenty of headroom for upgrades

Any reason for X570?
I picked what showed as available, only that and one other was available in the configurator
That or I was blind
I'm managing to proceed with a B550 AORUS elite
Would be a more acceptable 5600 6600 build imo
There's a tonne of future upgradability built into this system. If you don't see yourself uprading at all, then we can probably spec it down a bit
I'd aim for a 1080p 144-165hz monitor with a setup like this, should make for a nice pairing

This was going to be my suggestion for the base for an Intel build: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/intel-z690-pc/uKnekSs5WD/

32GB RAM would come in at £1,510 - a smidge over budget.
If you wanted to utilise the full budget then I'd probably just go for the same build with a better GPU. the 6800XT is a 3070TI-3080 level GPU, but is less than a 3070TI price wise. Would aim for a 1440p 144-165hz monitor for this one
👀
Or that ^ 😉
Hope you get an awesome PC and don’t forget to post some awesome looking photos
