After many hours so far not found a story reason why Nokk isn't romanceable thus far and notice myself and many others wish for this both in the discord and steam itself! 👀
I adore the game and many characters but from the start Nokk became a favourite and would love the chance we could maybe romance him someday. 🙏
Just thought wouldn't hurt to make this 😅

From the get go I ended up liking his character and more I play and learn of the others the more I wanna romance Nokk yet still not found a story reason for him not being romanceable outside the meme of "married to cooking".

We can be married to each other and cooking at the same time, happily, I supply fresh ingredients, he cooks all he likes. Perfect combo 😭

I think that the reason I was so surprised is that out of the romanceable options (as far as I can tell) there are no bulky himbo-esque men, and having Nokk be romanceable at the sacrifice of another option (if numbers are an issue, like they don't want over X male romanceables) would make more sense to me for the sake of variety

I just saw this was here, so I figured I'd jump on the Nokk train and say I want to date him too. He's a sensitive boy who likes cooking. Yes please! I even love his dance.
I didn't realize at first about the yellow/purple flower differences. Nokk was the first character I got to 5 stars and then when I got a second one up to the dating stage, I realized, oh, dang, Nokk is NOT romanceable!

Nokk is a sweetheart and it'd be nice to have him as an option, but that said, I think if he's intended to be asexual or otherwise not interested in romance I think the game could benefit from a cutscene where he talks about it. Personally I'm all for having an ace character in the tribe, it'd be nice.

🙏 keeping this alive, if Nokk can't be romancable for a reason devs only may know, would love to know why maybe if reach so many hearts? Even a slight convo just causal mention? Maybe Mana can pressure Nokk for answer and you can just ask her to back off type cutscene??
Not a single cut scene does he mention anything about wanting marriage/relationship thus far still.
In fact he blushes a lot around your character etc, so I still praying one day I can marry my favourite character thus far

T-T<3 Especially because his character is so unique that there could be a lot of opportunities for heart events and such for him. (Imagine learning more about why he may not have want to be tribe leader, his feelings about the rivalry with his sister, him sharing his love of cooking with the player/them both cooking meals together, ect).

I'm gonna agree with a couple of other voices in this thread. I don't want him romanceable, but I WOULD love for him to be explicitly Not Interested In Romance(tm). Because damnit, we deserve some characters who have no interest in dating!

Maybe like a high relationship cutscene comment about how he like hanging out with with you and not having pressure put on him that way/something that depends on if you're otherwise dating someone/in a union with someone. Could even mention Igrork with his line, though maybe as a high relationship dialoge and not part of the cutscene :D

||Zeda says multiple times she’s not interested in a union, and nobody romanceable is monogamous as their later heart events have a line like ‘I know you’re already in a Union and our relationship can only go so far…’ but it doesn’t stop you from dating/kissing them||

Honestly I don't remember the specific lines you mentioned so not gonna comment on that one (do I not befriend this one enough O.O), but for the latter- there's a difference between being with a poly partner and having poly representation. Can they be a part of a poly relationship? sure. Can your own character be poly? Yes, though not as far as union is concerned. Is there actual poly representation? Not yet

(Also as a side note- while now I'm looking forward to see those lines, having 1 character that checks box x isn't a reason to not have another that does so, especially in another way. Just like how ||Igrork's lines|| are actually great and I was excited to see- but it doesn't feel like enough. Plus the idea of an actual scene which I don't think any character has about nonogamy/aro/ace topics at all?)

The only thing that I see is text with other characters about Era and Nokk and other little details to that nature like how some characters talk about Ibon and Jukk, Fier and Illoe and other you can married.

He shows interest in Era by blushing whenever she’s around and there’s a few scenes that show he holds her above other people. Especially in Era’s heart scenes with you.

I believe we are confusing ace and aro 😅 aro is where you would not generally pursue romantic relationships, ace doesn't generally rule those out, it just generally means there isn't a first hand sexual part of the attraction the person feels

Either way, I've not seen either mentioned for Nokk; it is entirely likely the devs tried to lower the amount of romance options first, then come back in with more :] I'd hedge a bet that Zeda and Nokk are going to be amongst the coming four romances in 1.3

I hope Zeda, but in some of her dialogue, she mentions her Clan pressuring her to settle down with a spouse and she’s not interested in it. Nokk doesn’t seem opposed to it at all, especially with Era, but I agree the options were limited early on and maybe as we progress, it’ll open up some fun situations

We'd agree. Being aro/ace, we'll gently counter that there's no one thing that "wanting more" represents, even in romantic/sexual relationships. We think Nokk being super flustered over Era, who shares his love of cooking, is a romance-neutral behavior.
